They have a thread on Konad here check it out you will like it. Watch lots of youtube videos I suggest and you don't want to just stamp your nail you want to roll the stamper over your nail don't be agressive make sure the full pattern picks up before you lay your design down.

Thanks for the info!

I've worn RGPs for over 11 years. Sometime after 2007, after I started getting into MAC, I started having the same problem as you. I don't know why... I'd worn makeup for almost as long as I'd worn contacts and had never had a problem. So I had my lenses cleaned professionally and it helped, only temporarily.

I followed my optician's instructions to a tee. I systematically eliminated products (from shampoo, to facial cleansers, to eye shadow, primers, concealers and foundations...) and eventually got the point where I wasn't wearing makeup at all. Nothing helped. I'd always been fastidious about my eye care, about cleaning my lenses and about using protein cleansers so I have no idea what happened to my contacts seemingly overnight.

In January I got a brand new pair of RGPs and the second I put them on...they were a mess. I took them back to my optometrist and she said it looked as though I'd worn them for months and never cleaned them - (after ONE wearing they were filthy and I couldn't see out of them!)

Eventually, after months of trial and error, I opted to go with daily disposable soft lenses. But I have fairly high astigmatism so I don't get the same quality of vision as I did with my RGPs. I really, really hope you have better luck than I did. I would never wish what I went through on anyone else. Even now, my vision isn't what I want it to be in contacts.

Not being able to see in contacts/not being able to wear makeup for almost a year depressed the heck out of me. I guess that sounds really shallow...

I can't wait to start wearing some of my style black stuff. After I woke up from my tonsillectomy yesterday the nurse asked how I was doing and I started talking to her about makeup and style black. I must have been dreaming about that while I was out!

I guess I am a true MAC addict!

I can't decided it I want to make an order for a few of the glimmerglasses before they are all sold out everywhere. I really want night violet now that I have seen that it can be so sheered out.

That is really too bad! I wish you better luck my dear! No, thats not shallow - I understand what you mean.

The doctor told me that sometimes even washing your hands with perfumed hand soaps can cause it. Plus, she said to use regular dish washing soap to wash your hands before handling the contacts.

And, I have the newer GRP that are more porous - so I'm going to go back to the old fashioned more hard lens as that may help. I've never had problems with my makeups (they always cleaned right up) doing this until the day I used the HD concealer

elegant-one, you are making me reconsider lenses. I just know I will get some sort of infection. all these precautions and things before handling them will be the death of me. I really only need my glasses for viewing at a distance, but as we all know, the longer you wear glasses, the more your vision, overall, suffers.

Fortunately, people still see the shadows I wear. i have really funky prada glasses that don't clash no matter what colors I wear. I just wanted the lenses b/c traveling in bad whether with glasses sucks and I always see funky sunglasses that I'd like to wear. I'll stick with my eyeglasses though. I can't risk going blind. LOL

I only use dishsoap to wash my hands before putting on lenses... even now. And I dry my hands on lint free paper towels. (so not eco-friendly...but these are my eyes.)

Trust me when I tell you... I changed my whole routine. I tried inserting lenses before doing anything else (moisturizer, makeup etc..) I tried inserting them after.

I switched from fingers to brushes to put on everything from foundation to concealer to shadow. For a while I suspected it was UDPP...but I gave that up and my lenses were still a mess.

I really don't know what caused it. But it was like walking around in a dream... I'd see halos anytime my lenses were in. (Made me sick and totally screwed up my depth perception.) Honestly...this past year was one of my worst ever. :p

The Gas Perms are really over-all pretty durable & safe, and, they are supposed to better for the vision. I've never ever had an eye infection for the almost 34 years that I've worn gas perms.

I have worn disposable contacts for 12 years and not one infection. One of the best decisions of my life. I can't even do glasses anymore. I feel like a brick is sitting on my face when I wear glasses, Uhhh.

Who banned you. Not by my talk, I hope, I was just joking.

NV is awesome sheered out. And I found a Revlon lipstick the other day, that is so similar to it and I was sold on it after I saw Jessica Alba rocking it in the promo. Who knew revlon could get down and trendy.

I concur with this wholeheartedly. If it wasn't for my makeup issue (which I suspect really has more to do with my own body chemistry and a recent chemical rejection of the material used for the contact lenses/the solution used for RGPs) I would never have switched to soft lenses.

You have a lower chance of infection with RGPs than you do with soft lenses, you get better vision and they're much easier to care for. I have never had an infection with RGPs.

(Having said that... be wary of stuff like mascara with fibers and facial scrubs. With or without lenses you can do all sorts of nasty things to your eyes.)
