i just got back from picking up my SB goodies. my counter was sold out of the grease paint stick but oh well i will get one through dsquare. i got Young Punk and GBA and blackfire. i came home and played with my goodies and found that YP looks wicked over macroviolet and artifact paint pot. the shadows were so rich and allowed the base to peak through and make the colors so vibrant. i used them dry. Blackfire is soo sexy over Kirsch mattene. i wish i could have gotten more but Budget calls!! i have a pretty good collection so getting LE stuff is so much fun!

Wow this forum just blew up since this collection was released!
So I lucked out today, as my job has brought me to Cincinnati this weekend and somehow I "ended up" at the Tri-City Mall, where they just opened a MAC counter, apparently, at least according to all the signs! I was really surprised to see this counter so well stocked- the only thing they were s/o of was the pink/black NL (baby goth girl?)! So if you're in the Cincin area, def check out this counter.
Anyways I b2m'd for the black mattene- it is much less a mattene than most! It seems kinda slick and less opaque than I'd hoped. But I still think a fun, opalescent l/g on top of this sucker is going to be amazing.
I also picked up the Blackware g/g (which I think is going to look stellar over Russian Red or something similar), and Bat Black CCB.
I had already ordered Young Punk, Gilt by Association and the GPS via maccosmetics.com which I will receive in a week, but was sooo tempted to buy them at the store too, because I'm so impatient! But I don't want to over do it, so I will just have to wait another week or so...
But yes, this collection is pure sex! I loveee the whole concept, and I think it was executed perfectly- Although some older lady was walking past the counter and stopped and asked the MA if MAC was for goths, since all she saw was the black collection.

So I went to the Mall today, looking like this (see below) and you would not believe the wierd looks I got. I think half the people were just freaked to see someone wearing black lips. I am the kind of person that always looks people in the eye and smiles so it was wierd to be so obviously rebuffed. Makes me sad to know just how much people judge based on such ridiculous things.
All the same, I love this collection and I think the items are very wearable for fall if used carefully. Even the black lips look great mixed with other more typical colors.
I am gonna put up an FOTD on this look in a little while so maybe i'll post the link when I do.

Haha night violet I feel bad I didnt check it out atleast. I can't rock a dark color but Im sure maybe it I patted it on I pry could of with a gloss over it. I deeply regret not checking it out I might order it online in a few days
