Thank you MAC for coming through with the goods! I love, love, love this collection
I've been avoiding this thread forever because the anticipation was killing me but I just came home from the store with blue flame, gba, young punk, bling black, seriously hip, (amourous dg creme) and against my better judgment, VAE.... which i almost hope i will hate because I still do not understand ltd ed skin care.
the store was out of baby goth girl so I'm going to try another tomorrow and pick up blackfire as well. I already have nocturnelle & night violet so this is about the most complete a collection I have ever purchased from MAC. I'm still debating the cremesheen or mattene. is it wrong of me to hope/assume those will most likely end up at the CCO eventually?
2 things missing that would have put this collection completely over the edge: a darkened blue flame-ish np & a black-based blue glimmerglass
(OK maybe those in silver/cinderfella too would have been good too)

Thanks. I tried my sample of VAE today and liked it so far, I will give it another try, but looks like im going to have to buy it. Hopefully they still going to have them.

Here is a look I did or the Style Black theme. Now, I didnt use Styl Black product per se... butit was all in the black theme!

They looked really cool, but the lipglass made it a little like... too greasy looking. Also, the wear wasn't too great, looking bad after like 45 minutes! Plus, it's he highest maintenance color on my skintone! Every mistake shows 100%. So yeah, that was weird. I want everything to always look perfect so I noticed ever flaw and that really sucked.
Only recommended for white whities that have time to monitor your lips all day. On darker skin I'm sure flaws aren't as obivious so it may work.

use it wet. there's hardly any fallout.

Not a pretty sight. That was also my complaint about the cremesheen.
The mattene alone wears pretty well. And I think that it is very forgiving on dark skin. I'm NC50 and wore it today with no liner; only touched it up twice.
Seriously not seeing any imperfections in the pics

I agree on the greasy comment: the mattene looks great by itself. But when I added the glimmerglass, I just ended up with great big greasy black lips
The mattene alone wears pretty well. And I think that it is very forgiving on dark skin. I'm NC50 and wore it today with no liner; only touched it up twice.

^^ When I went in to grab my haul, the MA lined my lips (then filled them in) with Nightmoth l/l. Then she went over them with Midnight Media before using Nightmoth on the edges of my lips again. Next she put (I think it was "Gel" - a frost lipstick) in the center of my mouth; she said it would prevent the mattene lipstick from streaking.
At this point, it looked great, but for fun we topped it with Bling Black g/g. I think by the time I was done, we'd tried Blackware out on it too.... I personally loved the really shiny look of my lips (but to me that's really...really sci fi. And probably too much for every day.) Plus, with that much product on your lips, it's bound to move.
All in all, the look reminded me of "Soiled" lip lacquer. MAC released this years ago...and I picked it up long before I was a MACaholic.
