Gilt by Association dupe (I think I might be obsessed with finding dupes now lol):

Top: Fantasy Makers Enchanting Body Wand in Black (similar texture to any black CCB), Naked Cosmetics pigment in UB-01...little bit darker than normal.

Middle: Gilt by Association MES (applied with MAC Mixing Medium)

Bottom: Fantasy Makers Enchanting Body Wand in Black, Bronze Metallic Pigment by Primarily Pigments (eBay seller), any black pigment (in my case I used Innocence Mineral Pigment in Coal Black), and NYX Glitter in GP05. This one is definately the closest.

Top: Blue Flame MES with MAC Mixiing Medium

Bottom: Fantasy Makers Enchanting Body Wand in Black, Annabelle Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette in Radar - lower right colour - check my swatches for this quad in the Annabelle Swatches thread), NYX GP01 Blue Glitter - both applied with MAC Mixing Medium

Cinderfella Dupe

Top: Cinderfella MES applied with MAC Mixing Medium

Middle: Fantasy Makers Enchanting Body Wand in Black, Silver Metallic pigment by Primarily Pigments (eBay seller), any black pigment (in my case I used Innocence Mineral Pigment in Coal Black), and NYX Glitter GP06 Silver glitter.

Bottom: Ignore...lol....I was fooling with another Annabelle Galaxy Palette - in Earthbound - again, Annabelle Swatches thread.

Haha, I think I just seem to gravitate towards the same colours all the time. Plus I know my collection well and notice similarities between them. The Blue Flame dupe I knew of a long time ago....when it came out I was like, "Hey, I have a palette with that one already!".....Same with a palette I had similar to Spiced Chocolate.

Maybelline actually just released a mini-palette with dupes for Crystal Avalanche, Steamy, Deep Truth and Black Tied. Its so pretty....but I can't justify buying it when I already own the equivalent in MAC!

OMG my Young Punk came in the mail today!! EEEKKK it's sooo pretty! But it looks pinkish more than purple to me! Oh well, I still love it and I can't wait to go home and play with it!
I swatched it bare just now, and now I remember why I passed them up when they came out, had I known I needed a base, I would have bought 3 of them in September!
Also, who knew that these MESs would get so popular? To my understanding, most people aren't too fond of them. I'm one of the people who LOVE them
I only have 8 MESs now, but soon that number shall grow m'ladies

When I heard of this collection I got super excited, especially when I saw photos. I left work the morning of the release fully knowing I'd be the first customer at MAC at the mall to buy a bunch of stuff from the line, but then my fiance made me feel guilty about buying it all, so I put it off.

Finally caved 2 weeks later and bought 1 Greasepaint stick, Blackfire Glimmerglass, Baby Goth Girl nailpolish, Young Punk, & Blue Flame...

Then a few weeks later, decided that due to its popularity, I was going back for more and had to search high and low for 3 hours and 5 different locations for Cinderfella, Gilt by Association and a back-up of Young Punk and two more back ups of the Greasepaint stick....it was nuts!

I skipped out on the other glimmerglasses, mattenes and CCB's....not too worried about those as much as I originally was. Although I think I still might want Bat Black CCB eventually....meh....ebay...or here...lol.

my only regret purcahse form this collection is blackfire gloss. it's not dark and to be honest i could have got a similar effect from a dazzleglass. but never mind! you live and learn right?

Have you guys been using a black base underneath these eyeshadows or coloured bases?

I found that when i use a black base (blacktrack) and the mes on to, all you can see is the purple/blus/silver glitter. I don't mind this because it turned out really nice with carbon in the crease.

I have yet to try them on with coloured bases.

My only regret from Style Black is not being able to get blackfire!!!

I know it wasn't dark and i've got similar effect with clear gloss and Young Punk but every time I think about it, I still want it!!! To me, as you say, is a lusthave!!!

I've worn Blue flame over Chanel Ombre d'eau in Rivage (a steel silver). The combination yields a metallic electric blue that is to die for.

Me too. I really wanted a black lipgloss to layer over lipsticks. But I was low on cash that day and I had B2M empties in hand, so I B2M'ed for Black Knight instead, I figured it would work well as a mixing medium too. Although that hasn't stopped me from thinking about Blackware. My other regret is not being able to get Gilt By Association, it's now sold out everywhere here.

hee hee! i guess this shows that everybody likes different things

and mixing clear gloss with young punk is a good idea!
