MAC - Style Black Discussion

I just want one MES and the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. I won't wear black on my lips that would not be me

I want the black lipsticks for the fashion shows that I do in the area. Especially fall/Halloween time!

This will be the collection that I purchase the most from.
I tend to only like one or two items MAX from each one, but the descriptions for this collection worry my purse a little :S

Can someone tell me what Mattenes is?

A mattene is a highly pigmented lipstick that is matte, but has a somewhat satin texture to it, so it's not as matte as the matte finish in MAC lipsticks. So it's like a satin texture from MAC lippies, but much smoother in my opinion.

I feel the same way! I really like the MES with the pink/purple pearl. That'll be all!

mattenes wear like a matte, but aren't as drying. they're a little more cushion-y and creamy on the lips. they are wonder-fol!

Ditto, ditto and ditto! They need to make mattenes perm and come out with some new everyday colors like they did with cremesheens (Modesty, Creme Cup, Shy Girl, etc)

I love mattenes as well. My favorite is Immodest which is a bright magenta color. I would die if they re-released that color!

MAC should make the mattens perm since I've heard that they are awesome! I've never tried one before and I've seen some at my CCO. I think I need to make a trip to the CCO again sometime and get a mattene lipstick.

I second everyone one Mattenes. I have no idea why they would make Slimshines perm and not Mattenes. I don't really care for slimshine except for Swelter! Powersuit is my fave Mattene

i'm not a fan of slimshines either. they wear off far too quickly on me.
