thank goodness for empties Im taking mine to get the cinderfella and youngpunk shadow from this collection Im not interested in the black glosses Im a sucker for nude lips and a dark eye. So excited Im going for the launch the 26th.

Still undecided about the MES, if they are too sparkly I'm probably skipping them, I would never use them even if they are gorgeous.
I'll definetely want to try the mask and exfoliators, I'm lucky in skin department because no products I used so far got my skin worse, they just don't work as I would like, so I'm still looking for my HG skin products.

And yes I'll go and check out the Chanel range, hope they will give samples!

i still have my one tub of original packaged volcanic ash exfoliater. i love it. my friends do not like the smell of it, but i think the scent is lovely and clean. i apply it on dry skin, scrub, add a little water to my fingertips, scrub some more until all the sugar scrub crystals are melted. i use it once a week or once every other week and the tub is still nearly full from, what 2 years ago now? anyway i'll be repurchasing that, even though i'm disappointed to see the amount of product went down.
even though i too hate limited edition skin stuff to fall in love with, i'm going to try the volcanic ash mask too. i figure it is something i'll just use infrequently so it should at least last a while (until the next new thing comes along!).

so for the makeup: i plan on getting baby goth girl nail lacquer, gilt by association mes. young punk and cinderfella will be put away as Christmas gifts for my daughter.

oh and i just bought the greasepaint stick on ebay (was overcome by uncontrollable need to buy something tonight)...so if i like it, will purchase a couple more of those.

and as always, thank you to all that post pictures and dish about the good bad ugly of each collection

OMG, I am amazed. Just visited my MAC counter and got a preview of the Style Black stuff. The MES is amazing. And the Greasepaint Stick is too. I was sooooo expecting to not like any of this. Now I have to figure out what are the must haves because I cannot buy a ton of stuff.

On top of that, I just got an invite to the Prelaunch for the Holiday collection. What am I gonna do?!

I bet that you will be able to track it down somewhere in Vegas. There are a TON of MAC counters there. If not I am sure that one of us would do a CP for you if our stores still have it.

Glam I think you will be okay....Nothing has been selling out with MAC as of late....too many collections...as we see Costa Chic and Saint Germain are back in stock on the website......you will be fine

I was just thinking about how grateful I am that I have become a MAC addict this year and not next. I can't imagine how upset I would be if I heard about this collection next year after it was all over.

the sugar is very gentle, but its the sulfur you might wanna watch out for.

you shouldn't need to exfoliate for much longer than that as it can irritate the skin. but, one way to extend the time before the sugar melts is to have your face not as wet. you still want it wet, but just damp instead of super wet. the more water present, the faster the sugar will dissolve.

just like the pigments, certain colours are safe for eyes, lips or cheeks.

Found the leaflet....Nude is not on the Caution list...But Pink Shock & Virgin Isle is just FYI for those using it on the lips and eyes

i had no clue that you could use ccb's on the lips! i've always used mine on cheeks and eyes. will try using pearl on my lips over a lippie tommorow to see how it comes out!
