MAC - Sugar Sweet Discussion

I too am really, really confused by the lemon chiffon shadestick description as "pewter". From the swatches it looks like cakeshop is way more like a pewter. Pewter is indeed supposed to be silvey grey. I mean, lemon chiffon just looks golden yellow. I will most likely pick both of these up, I'm just confused on how they came up with pewter to describe it.

Edit: I also wanted to add that I'm really kind of disappointed in the eyeshadow choices for this collection. Not only are there two permanent colors and one repromote, but there are no bright, pastel, kind of frosting colors, except for the dear cupcake. I think they could've done a lot more with this collection as a whole...

I'm going to get Lollipop Loving, I definetly need a backup because it's one of my favorite lipsticks.

And maybe Perfect Topping MSF but I first want to try how it looks on my skin.

I just talked with my friend at MAC,and she told me the highlights of this collection for her are the shadesticks and the tricolour glasses. She was telling me that the ss feel like they're reformulated so they don't feel dry,and the lemon chiffon color is a chrome yellow. Also she said that the glasses are really nice, that when you look at them you're like, what the hell are these? But when used she really likes them, very pretty!

i've decided i'm getting perfect topping msf. i wasn't impressed with the swatch i saw of the other one and i was leaning towards perfect topping anyways so...

i'm still excited about finally getting a lollipop loving back up though! i've been using my original more and more recently now i know i don't have to save it as much!

Different flavors, different colors and hues.. Imagine these as MSFs, with more wearable colors of course:

with the way MSFs are produced, it'd be a bit hard to get that kind of pattern. but i do agree they could have done a bit more with this collection. however, if they had, i think they might have gone a bit overboard with it.

people really need to stop fretting over the whole "pewter" thing. take a look at the swatches and judge from that. sometimes mac messes up with color descriptions. there's only been a handful of times that i've seen where they use the wrong description.

when i think of frosting, or candy, i don't think pastel at all. am i the only one?

the only time i've seen pastel frosting is at easter and baby showers, and that's cuz you make it that color yourself.

Eh, I am thinking I may pass on St. Germain too... It is one I will definately have to try in person. I just came across a pic of it one a fair lady like myself, and it kinda washed her out. I suspect it will do the same for me

I have a question on Lollipop Lovin. I have medium to highly pigmented lips. Will this color show up on me? I bough Cute-ster l/s from HK and it barely shows up on my lips. I have NC30 skin tone if that helps.

Any of you MSF-less people out there....
I was MSF-less once upon a time. Then I met Redhead MSF.
I use it EVERY DAY. I want to bathe in it.

I am so excited to get another MSF!!!! I think I want Perfect Topping, but I bet when I see them I will cave and get both.
Just buy an MSF already, you will thank me later.
