Don't you all know shadesticks are awesome bases and are perfect for creating shapes on the eyes. It breaks my heart that you all don't agree.

Wait. There seems to be some discrepancy in the reviews, so wait till thursday to see it in person. Did someone also mention that this may be out Wed? I find it strange that it's already online, so maybe?!

Hey Lady, you're too funny, and thanks for the honesty. Here's my problem, if it says msf, I have to buy it! They may end up being big fat eyeshadows and highlighters.

I just got to thoroughly check out the collection and here are my thoughts

Green duochrome appears throughout the whole collection. I found that kind of cool
smiles.gif

Shadesticks: You need them all. Seriously, the colors are beautiful and the texture of these is so awesome! My fav colors had to be Red Velvet (which is an oh so pretty pink) and Lemon Chiffon, which I can easily see being an everyday go to color. Penny is a lovely metalllic cool gold. Butternutty kinda reminds me of nylon, and cakeshop has a gorgeous green duochrome to it which naturally makes me want to put aquavert and club over it.

Of the eyeshadows, Dear Cupcake and Aquavert were my favs. It could just be me, but aquavert seemed much greener this time around. Then again I am used to the lure packaging and it could just be the contrast. Either way aquavert is frosty seafoam green gorgeousness while Dear Cupcake is creamy pinkness.
I did compare Dear Cupcake to Sushi Flower. While they are incredibley similar, I would classify Sushi flower as warmer while dear cupcake being cooler. I also got better payoff from Dear Cupcake, but that could be because it was new.
Don't bother with sugarshot. It is a craptastic lustre. The tester had a crust on top and ugh, fallout and crappy payoff were plentiful. Club is an awesome smokey color and stars and rockets is a fun duochrome shade of pink but we knew all that already
winks.gif

On the tricolor lipglasses. Im not on team ocd, but I am also not a fan of these. Way toooo sheer, and we all know how I feel about sheer lipglosses (read, I hate em)The only one that gave me a decent payoff was Tasty, but who needs another bright pink lipglass? Not I! of note is that these smell really strongly of vanilla, though I can't tell if its a stronger vanilla than that of regular mac lip products.

The lipsticks:
Bubbles is fun but I just dont need another highlight shade. We all know about Lollipop loving's coral/green duochrome goodness too. Touch is a blah cool bronze and Sweet Thing is another lustre bright pink. Nothing unusual. The star is St Germain imo, with its milky pink fabulosity! I cannot wait to play with this one
smiles.gif

On to the msfs.
Refined seemed a bit too warm on me, but I find that to be the case with most brown based msfs. I agree with Trish that Perfect Topping is similar to Petticoat but a bit less frosty and a bit less pink. It would make a good highlight on my nw20 self.
Of note, the texture on both msfs was lovely. Not gritty or glittery, just smooth and slightly frosty

Nail polishes- Fun colors, but I just can't get excited about mac lacquers because they don't last. Green on my nails? No thanks!

I will go more in depth on my blog tonight and will post swatches both here and on the blog tonight as well
yes.gif

In short, I loved this collection and got most of it!

Let me know if you have any questions

In short, I loved this collection and got most of it!

Let me know if you have any questions
winks.gif

Okay, here is my question- although complex.

I am a complete duochrome fan ESPECIALLY when it is aqua, lime, or violet blue duochrome flashes.

I have blown through two Lollipop Lovings since HEatherette and will get more of these.

I have Green Brown pigment so I am thinking perhaps club would be redundant.

However, anything else with duochrome green that I HAVE to have- let me know- or anything else with flashes of duochrome at all that is unique greens blues or aquas.

Also, is Perfect Topping similar to Pleasureflush? From the description it sounds like it might be.

I never get to see this stuff in person before purchasing, so I depend on you guys who can to steer me a bit.

So, the green or blue lipglosses are not worth it? I too dislike sheer lipglosses that are way too sheer like Best Friends from Hello Kitty- WAY too sheer for me.

Thanks for any help!
Great review, btw.

I have a couple of questions (some I have asked on this thread and I guess no one knew the answer):

1. How does Aquavert compare to Lusterleaf?
2. Do you think that Dear Cupcake is easy to blend? I find sometimes the satins are a little tough.

Let me try to answer best I can
smiles.gif

1. Items with a green duochrome included aquavert, club, lollipop loving, cakeshop.
2. I don't have pleasureflush so I can't compare sadly. Sorry
ssad.gif

3. They are pretty sheer. I swatched them on my hand and they didnt show up all that well. I also have medium pigmented lips so I know it would be a complete waste for me

1. Gah, I don't have lusterleaf. From pics online they look pretty similar, but lustreleaf seems to have more gold in it. I could be wrong though as I don't own both.
2. On the blending, I will have to put it to the test. From the looks of it it will be fairly easy to blend when working with the right textures. The shadow itself applied very well and was very silky and pigmented.

omg. I am so behind on my collections....I knew this was coming out soon...but today?!?! wow. I'm glad there isn't all toooooo much from this collection that I want. the l/g bugs me. yeah, apparently on team ocd. :p

however, I think I might want a couple of the shadesticks and shadows. ooh..and the mint green nail lacquer = yum.
greengrin.gif

But I think I'm going to wait and check this out in person. The counter closest to my house never sells out...it's almost like no one knows about it. And if all else fails...I will order it from my old counter, cause my MA at my freestanding store was worried that it was gonna sell out pretty fast. Hmm...I suppose we will see.

Hey Sandwich,

Aquavert has more blue than lustreleaf; alternatively, one could say lustreleaf has more yellow. Aquavert is a bit quieter and is certainly much smoother, lacking the glitter found in lustreleaf. They are similar, though, and you could likely live without both, especially since you're several shades darker than I am - unless, of course, you really, really love that sort of colour.

I need to rethink my list, again!

I am glad though that the Sugar Shot lemming is completely over.

Refined left the list a while ago but it seems that Dear Cupcake, Red Velvet and Lemon Chiffon want to kick the (maybe) behind it off the list.
