I likewise got to check this collection out today, so guess what you get? Another review!
Well first I have to hand it to the concept design team, because I really feel all the products fit in very well with the whole sugarry treats thing. A lot of it looks like frosting or something, which can, I suppose be both good and bad.
Lipsticks:
Lollipop Lovin- awesome, I like. Whoever said that this one looks slightly different than the Heatherette version, I think you're right. I swatched them side by side, and this one is less pink, more coral. Which is kinda good! I love a good coral lippie!
Bubbles- This is one of the products that most fits in with the cupcake-ish theme. It looks like frosting on the lips. Great pigmentation for a glaze, can be built up or used lightly.
St. Germain- Having a hard time seeing the dif btwn this and Melrose Mood. I guess it is slightly different, but not enough to need both. That said, I'm still buying SG.
Sweet Thing - Pomposity in lustre form. Verrry beautiful! I am actually contemplating, should I get this or St. Germain?
I love the sparkle of it, I think it is nice that it's not too intense.
Eyeshadows:
Aquavert- Everyone needs this in their life. It is so true to the color in the pot when applied, unlike Warm Chill. Very intense pigment, very awesomeee.
Dear Cupcake- Whatevs, this was not unique to me imo. It looked a bit lighter than Sushi Flower in the pot, but applied it was just as dark.
Sugarshot- I felt this looked kinda similar to Phloof. When I swatched them side by side, I found very little difference. Kinda disappointed b/c I thought this would be my underdog, but it wasn't. It looked like every other highlight color I have
Oh, and as Erine said, it does NOT look like Solar White. SW is way more yellow-gold.
MSFs:
K, these were both kinda frosty, reminded me of Shimpagne's finish, maybe less chunky? Idk...but they look like frosting too, which is kinda cool and different. I'm afraid they might be my pore's biggest enemy, but I don't care, I want them anyways!
Lipgloss: I barely looked at these, none had pigmentation, they just looked boring. But that is how I've felt for a while so no surprise there.
Shadesticks: I really liked these! They are super pretty, and yes smooth. I don't know if that's b/c I'm used to semi-dry shadesticks or what. I was surprised to be attracted to Penny of all colors- it is Firespot in shadestick!! The rest are all quite pretty too- Cakeshop looks nice with Aquavert over it.
Nail Polish: Both are nice, I was hoping Peppermint Patty would be a little lighter, but it's still cool, I will get it for sure. Seasonal Peach is also quite pretty but I don't know how overly unique it is.
