Yay, just made my purchase! I've been waiting all day for this to come online on the US site.
This is the only collection I have counted down to! I'm so excited!!

I've been waiting for this collection for so long! I just bought Aquavert, Cakeshop, Club and Stars N Rockets. I would have gone for some of the lippies, except I already have Lollipop Lovin from Heatherette, Bubbles from a swap, and Melrose Mood, which is supposedly a dupe for Saint Germain...Sweet Thing didn't seem too unique judging from the swatches. This is a gorgeous collection overall though!

I likewise got to check this collection out today, so guess what you get? Another review! :p

Well first I have to hand it to the concept design team, because I really feel all the products fit in very well with the whole sugarry treats thing. A lot of it looks like frosting or something, which can, I suppose be both good and bad.

Lipsticks:
Lollipop Lovin- awesome, I like. Whoever said that this one looks slightly different than the Heatherette version, I think you're right. I swatched them side by side, and this one is less pink, more coral. Which is kinda good! I love a good coral lippie!

Bubbles- This is one of the products that most fits in with the cupcake-ish theme. It looks like frosting on the lips. Great pigmentation for a glaze, can be built up or used lightly.

St. Germain- Having a hard time seeing the dif btwn this and Melrose Mood. I guess it is slightly different, but not enough to need both. That said, I'm still buying SG.

Sweet Thing - Pomposity in lustre form. Verrry beautiful! I am actually contemplating, should I get this or St. Germain?

I love the sparkle of it, I think it is nice that it's not too intense.

Eyeshadows:
Aquavert- Everyone needs this in their life. It is so true to the color in the pot when applied, unlike Warm Chill. Very intense pigment, very awesomeee.

Dear Cupcake- Whatevs, this was not unique to me imo. It looked a bit lighter than Sushi Flower in the pot, but applied it was just as dark.

Sugarshot- I felt this looked kinda similar to Phloof. When I swatched them side by side, I found very little difference. Kinda disappointed b/c I thought this would be my underdog, but it wasn't. It looked like every other highlight color I have
ssad.gif
Oh, and as Erine said, it does NOT look like Solar White. SW is way more yellow-gold.

MSFs:
K, these were both kinda frosty, reminded me of Shimpagne's finish, maybe less chunky? Idk...but they look like frosting too, which is kinda cool and different. I'm afraid they might be my pore's biggest enemy, but I don't care, I want them anyways!

Lipgloss: I barely looked at these, none had pigmentation, they just looked boring. But that is how I've felt for a while so no surprise there.

Shadesticks: I really liked these! They are super pretty, and yes smooth. I don't know if that's b/c I'm used to semi-dry shadesticks or what. I was surprised to be attracted to Penny of all colors- it is Firespot in shadestick!! The rest are all quite pretty too- Cakeshop looks nice with Aquavert over it.

Nail Polish: Both are nice, I was hoping Peppermint Patty would be a little lighter, but it's still cool, I will get it for sure. Seasonal Peach is also quite pretty but I don't know how overly unique it is.

Thanks for your reviews, Adina and Abby! I was in my MAC store today and they were definitely not selling the collection yet. I'll have to go back there on Thursday and get my stuff :)

Ah.. not like the original Heatherette version is making me nervous. I LOVE the Lollipop Lovin from Heatherette. Tell me it's better at least?

I want 2 Lollipop Lovin now. I already have a back-up and one I'm currently using, that's almost used up. But I swear, it's the only lippie I've done this to, so I can justify the HG!
Red Velvet
Lemon Chiffon...........................

Could be the least I've EVER bought from a collection.
Which is fine by me.

I would also like to thank the Adina and Abby for their reviews. And everyone else who has posted one.

I have a question. Does anyone know how Aquavert compares to Springtime SKipper. I have Springtime skipper and have used it once, so I don't think I'll need aquavert if it is similar.

I guess I'll have to go by and find out... I thought I would just go on Thursday, but maybe not...

Do any Torontonians know for sure?

I think I've changed my list....

I was going to grab Cakeshop and Penny but I don't think I will anymore..
I was thinking Cakeshop might be similar to Greenstroke p/p and Penny looks like Indianwood p/p.

I know Greenstroke is a bit more lustery than Cakeshop... Do I need it? hhahaha XD

So ladies and gents.. what do you all think?

Chad I love you! I thought that sugarshot was the bee's knees! I think that it is a gorgeous color and a good lustre. I don't expect everyone to agree with me but I will personally shout it out that I LOVE SUGARSHOT!

I think this collection kinda looks cheap to me

I looked at the stuff again and, especially those tri-colour lg's, look like a rimmel or bonne bell item... The collection generally turns me off.. If anything, the msf's look alright lol :p

I got to test out Sugar Sweet shadesticks today and I cannot wait to get them. MA said we couldn't take home items until Thursday so I'll just think about it more and wait until then to decide what to buy. I don't have any of the paintpots that are similar colors or any of the older shadesticks so I cannot compare colors or consistency but I absolutely loved these. My favorite is Cakeshop followed by Red Velvet and Butternutty. As mentioned, Dear Cupcake is a perfect match for Red Velvet and Aquavert is awesome on Cakeshop. I'm very happy with what I saw.

I'm not sure how to wear dark pink/reds on my eyes so hopefully there are some FOTD with reds I can look at.

Are there any swatches of both? Side by side?

I was hoping I wouldn't need to buy Lollipop Lovin, since I still have my old Heatherette ones. If it's different, I need to get that one too.

I'm in the (sloowwww) process of uploading some swatches, incl. a comparison of the 2 but honestly I don't think it's really showing up in the pic, b/c it's srsly that minor. I don't know if it will be that noticeable when applied.
th_dunno.gif
Like when they're on my hand, I can see that there is indeed a slight difference, but don't worry, it's still Lollipop Lovin.

So someone said a while back that Saint Germain is easier to wear than Melrose Mood--please tell me this is true, b/c I just tried my mm and it's just a mess on me (nc35)
I NEED it to be different!!
