Just to add a bit....From what I was told by my MA , Soft and gentle is more silver and Refined is coppery gold. So the sheen comes off diffrent on the two. Both great highlighters- but diffrent all the same

Yeah, I love OPI too, now I gotta check out that color. My son calls me a nail freak!

Totally! from some of the photos I saw, I was expecting some serious orange and almost did not order Refined. I am so glad I did anyway- what a pleasant surprise. (we have no MAC near me at all so I Can not see them in person)

Refined and Perfect Topping are some of the nicest MSFs ever released.

I have long reviews with photos that I did of them both today, but am I allowed to put links on to them? I don't want to do anything that is not permitted (it is not a blog or anywhere that I get anything from people clicking on the reviews).

It would take me too long to post the photos here since I would have to reconfigure them all to fit and I can't get to it for a few days.

Perfect Topping, btw, is a lovely mix of peach and pink too. GORGEOUS.

Thanks!!!! I think I'm slowly being urged to get em both!!! This forum is hazardous to my wallet!!!!
I would love to see your photos.

I don't have a MAC store other than the one at my Macys. They're usually sold out on their collections days after it is launched. They don't really get much from the collections. I had them hold Perfect Topping for me. I'm going to pick it up today and check it out. I haven't seen it in person yet, but I knew if I went there and they sold out, I might regret it later, judging by your awesome reviews on it. Everyone here seems to love it, so there HAS to be something good about it. As for Refined, they sold out on it, so I am thinking of ordering it online based on your opinions. I don't want to not get it then pay double later on when I realize I might have wanted it. I guess if I don't like it I could always return it or swap.

I am so glad I ended up buying both!

Okay, here are the links to the reviews with photos- (MODs if this is not acceptable, please feel free to modify or remove these links. I can not find anywhere if this is not permitted, so I am posting assuming it is okay)

AGain, I want to point out, that I get nothing from anyone reading these reviews and it is not a private blog or anything. Just very detailed reviews with photos based upon personal purchases.

Very well put. S&G is quite silvery. I love the bronzey peach effect of Refined- very subtle but adds that PERFECT finishing touch to my makeup. I was also surprised at the peach twist that Perfect Topping has too- I thought it would be just like Blonde, but it isn't.

Both of these are wonderful finishing touch to makeup. I was very hesitant too, but you won't be sorry if you like MSFs and buy these. Just a little swipe of them wakes the face right up with a great glow- not glitter.

What a good idea, thanks Tish. I think I will pop in a replacement in my SC quad too. I'm not a fan of Nanogold but am in love with this quad.

It's very versatile IMO

This is example of bubbles over lip stain. The one I used was vincent longo "baby boo" but im sure its gonna be great over the stains coming out with the rose romance collection as welll..... The ones me and Tish are skipping

My boyfriend has been in town (!!!!!!) so haven't been on the computer at all. Or playing with much makeup lol. But I did get my Sugarsweet order while he was here. I must say, I LOVE both MSFs. Soooooo gorgeous. Perfect Topping is a beautiful highlight and Refined is a great everyday blush for me. Out of the 2 shadesticks I got, I've only tried Butternutty and I lovvvve it. I will definately be getting the other 3 shadesticks now. Its so creamy and beautiful. And it looks awesome with Sugarshot on top of it. I haven't tried Bubbles yet, but Lollipop Lovin is so beautiful! I gust wish I had it in the pink packaging.

And not SS-related, but I finally got my Moss Scape paint pot. I originally ordered from Macy's because they had SS up before mac.com did, but I was happy to see they had MS in stock because MAC had to cancel that part of my order.
ssad.gif
But now I have it and I can't wait to try it!

Side note: I'm such an idiot, I was always wondering what HG stands for, and all of a sudden, Holy Grail just came into my head. Is that right?
