Haven't posted in a while...but I missed you all!! Congrats to all the new Advisors!!
I stopped in at my counter and finally had a look at the Sugar Sweet collection, and here are my thoughts:
Lipsticks:
Bubbles - A very frosty white....I kind of like it, but it went on blotchy on me. I dotted a bit on over Sweet Thing, and it was very pretty...but I am on the fence about it. I think I need to play with it a bit more.
LL - I like it, but it didn't wow me. I missed out on it during Heatherette, so I really wanted it. I did have to pile it on to get it to show up on my very pigmented lips. I could not perceive much of the green sparkle though. I think I was just having a bad lip day...lol.
Sweet Thing - A beautiful shimmery Magenta with nice color payoff. Love it!!
Saint Germain - Creamy and MEGA pigmented Pepto-Bismol pink. One swipe and it was like WHAM!!! I seriously want to love this since I missed out on MM...but I don't know...it was just so...OVERPOWERING!! And I can rock some bright lips, but DAYUM!!
Touch - Didn't appeal to me...looked like a boring peachy-brown on.
Shadesticks:
Red Velvet - Wow...this one is nice, and it is not as frosty as the others. It really should be called Pink Velvet...as it is not red at all. It looks a bit like fuschia pigment, but with no shimmer.
Penny - A deep copper color...kind of limited in what I could use it with since it is such a dark color. It's pretty though.
Lemon Chiffon - This looked straight up frosty white on me. It would make a good base for just about any color I think.
Cakeshop - This is a very unique color for a shadestick. It is a gorgeous frosty pewter gray with a deep green cast. I like it quite a bit, as I wear lots of green e/s.
Butternutty - Shimmery pink-champagne color...not that unique, but gorgeous none the less.
MSF's
Refined - Gives my NC-35 skin a nice peachy glow, though it doesn't show up easily though, and I had to work with it a bit, and ultimately used a kabuki brush in order to get some color payoff. The texture is far more smooth than many of my other MSF's, and there is less glitter.
Perfect Topping - A gorgeous glowy highlighter. The one I tried had a good bit of lavender veining in it...and it was very nice. Again, I used a kabuki with this one as well.
Tri-colour Lipglasses:
These were all basically sheer on me. The most pigmented out of the bunch was Tasty, which looked nice over Sweet Thing. But these were a pass for me because I have more sheer gloss than I could use in two lifetimes, thanks...
Eyeshadows:
Sugarshot - I like it. It's white and frosty and yummy. Yes it's a lustre, but it is very pretty. I think the shadesticks will help with fallout. Plus I don't already own a similar color.
Dear Cupcake - Pretty corally-pink and very sheer. It seems to have almost a matte finish. I like my e/s more pigmented so I passed.
Club, Aquavert, and Stars n Rockets - Already have them and I love them all!!
Nail Lacquers:
Peppermint Patti - My counter was sold out, but I tried the tester and it was a really cute creamy mint green. It would need 3 coats I think to look best.
Seasonal Peach - Pretty peach color, but went on streaky.
Overall, I was impressed, but not "Wowed". I think the shadesticks are the stars here.
