MAC - Sugar Sweet Discussion

I am starting to want Bubbles now as well, I heard someone say a while back it toned down Gladiola which I LOVE but have never worn, not even once

So I know if I go back I will prob pick up St Germain *sigh*

True that $28 every couple of months isn't too costly for most people, but the total amount of cash spent on your whole MSF collection is probably quite a lot. I know that you really love the MSFs, so hey, whatever makes you happy. I respect that. But not everyone needs to buy/collect all the MSFs just to try them out, a purchase decision can still be derived via some other means.

That's if you're not too constrained by budget, then good for you. For those of us that are, we really need to make the most out of our purchases. Hence the making of lists, questioning and reasoning.

I think it was in the swatch thread that I saw a pic of Bubbles over Gladiola. Very pretty!

You should wear Gladiola, it's a pretty color.

It's great to use as a highlighter over just about any darker/brighter lippie or under lipglass. But, I think you kinda have to be into changing/adding things to the basics.

I think if you cant afford, dont buy. I remember being in school and never even trying to justify buying designer items. It just didnt make sense for me to stress over them at that time in my life.

Now that I am older, I buy what I can afford and I dont put that much thought into it. The excessive makeup I buy with each collection is a luxory to me. Not a necessity. If Im low on funds I just skip it.

Oh no, designer items are off my radar for now. No way am I going to be able to afford them.

But I love MAC, so I will stress over the budgeting and list-making in hope of getting the most out of my purchase. Not a very enjoyable process, but in order to get my goodies, I have no other choice.

In fact, I don't even spend money on anything else besides MAC (and cab fares).

But you're totally right, it is really not a necessity, I'm telling myself that at the end of the day it's really just makeup, I'll live even if I skipped some items.

Today I got my Lollipop Loving and I LOVE IT!!!!!! You can pair it with Sock Hop lipglass or any lipglass of your choice. It's going to be my new everyday lipstick since my Cute Ster lipstick started to melt and I broke it off and threw it away and kept the tube.

Exactly...Everyone knows their own budget so they should buy accordingly...Not because someone thinks they should or shouldn't spend the money....I know mine so I buy all the makeup I want and just deal with it....If I couldn't afford MAC I would certainly stop peeping in these threads....

I had it in my makeup bag for awhile and it just started to look like it's going to melt and falling off everytime I apply it on my lips. Now I'm going to keep it in my HK Vanity Case from now on.

yeah i should stop looking at these threads... but those damn msfs are calling me... at night when i sleep... i can hear them whisper "buy me... buy me... buy me............." its driving me crazy...

i am going to have to go against the grain and say i will die if i don't get one

these msfs are a texture i do not have. i have northern lights, light flush, warmed, shimpangne

and glissade. they are fairly chunkier than the sugarsweet and i totally skipped out on BBR except the blender brush and B-Babe (i wanted a high frost pink and i couldn't resist...)

do you guys think i need both? i use msfs almost everyday. i am NC25 btw hmm... tough choices.

i think butternutty is calling me too...

Perfect Topping, Bubbles, Butternutty, Just Desserts, Consume Me and Lollipop Loving (getting a backup or two or three of them due to being so gorgeous!) is calling me over and over again. I told myself that I'm skipping the Tri-Colour lipglasses and I am and don't know why that I'm tempted to get them again. Although, all of the shadesticks are so tempting!! I'll probably get them all so why not.

Stick it in the fridge for a few days and it will harden back up

Its not in my nature to say skip an msf... If I cant do it, how can I tell someone else too. Its one of those things if you deceide you dont need later in time. you can always find someone else to love it for you! as far as butternutty is concerned I have no comment

Butternutty is literally like beige-ing. If you have it, you don't need it.

I'm NC25 and I'm loving Perfect Topping. But if you got MoonRiver, I guess you don't need it. lolz But it's like...atleast half as shiney as MoonRiver.
