I didn't like it on my legs when I tried it today because I thought that it was almost TOO shimmery. Keep in mind, though, that I am very fair. I could really only see myself wearing this on my collar bone or to highlight my shoulders. It does seem like the type of thing that could transfer onto white or light-coloured clothing though

It's a 100% pass for me. I think that you could find a much cheaper dupe.

Thanks for the review. I am very fair too. Did it add any noticable shine or just shimmer?

Has anyone else noticed that in the promo pictures the top part of Marine Life is pink and the bottom part is coral, while the actual powder (seen on temptalia.com etc) is mostly the dark coral color with the light pink on the bottom?
Hmmm...was there a mix up?

Just got back from checking out To the Beach

First of all, As soon as I swatched TTB Hipness I told the MA that the color was NOT the same as Hipness from Fafi - she totally agreed & was glad that someone else noticed. Fafi Hipness is more coral & a lil more shimmer better texture. The Beach Hipness is more chalky/lighter/carnation pink coral. Now maybe its different with different batches - but the one I swatched is def. different. And, I was one of the first to swatch from the container.

I loved the collection more in person.
Lazy Days - light to med. blue pink with tones of rose & lavender. I loved this so much I'm getting 2

Splashing is beautiful - strong pigmented blue pink with the same lavender undertones. Even though I have tons of bright pink lg - this one seemed different enough to me & I loved that it was really pigmented.

Easy Lounger - beautiful shimmery pale kinda peachy pink ( yeah Audrey, this one is for you!)

Flurry of Fun - beautiful pale orange-ish peach with delicious shimmer

Lifes a Breeze - I loved this med blue pink lip pencil A LOT!

Temperature Rising - this one surprised me - if you put it on strong, its def. bright orange, but when I sheered it out it was a lovely kinda coral & I really liked it that way.

Marine Life imo is Divine! Very Pigmented & I adored both the pink & the coral colors & loved them swirled together. More coral than Hipness but still a pinky wearable coral. I'm getting 2 I loved it so much. I would get this over Hipness from this collection.

The cream bronzers are lovely both in color & in texture. I used the lighter Beach Bronze which when I first put it on looked too dark, but when I smoothed it on the skin it was beautiful & the softest silky velvet almost no feel on the skin texture. Wonderful!

Sun & Sand - I was disappointed when I first swatched it because I wanted more peachy color to it, but then the MA put it on me in the crease of my eyes - Ohmygosh - I LOVED it on. I was wearing guilded ash (love) and she put it above it in the crease & slightly above. A must have for me. It really made my eye color pop. It is different than Tete-a-tint

The other blues were pigmented bright & pretty. I didn't swatch anything else.
I also bought the Opulash Mascara will try it this week & let ya know.

Oh, & I got white capri skinny jeans & a floppy straw hat with a big straw bow on it

EDIT: The Special Packaging is Adorable!

In unrelated news, I'm watching an episode of Law and Order SVU, and Benson and Stabler are walking by said freestanding store!!!

I'm going to a pre-launch party on Tuesday at the store near Lincoln Center. The RSVP due date already passed but you can give it a try.

I thought about getting two Marine Life highlight powders but I'll just end up with one. I can see it now! This will be the first item to sell out first like Ripe Peach!

This is the first time I've really been anticipating a launch and I'm curious... How fast does the really in demand stuff sell out online?

I can't stand how packed in everyone gets. I am in the first group and I am literally going to grab a MA, tell her my list, stand in line (with a cocktail

), and leave.

Honestly it could be within hours to a day. It seems that the most talked about products so far are Marine Life, the cream bronzers, liners/pencils, and a few of the lip products.

The only product I am panicked about getting is Marine Life and I am fully admitting that I am getting sucked into it because of the hype.

I figure if I don't like it I will sell it.

The palette for Manish Arora was sold out before noon the morning it appeared online. At least that's how I remember it

Thanks for the heads up on this one, hun. I have Hipness from Fafi and I was thinking of buying a b/u from this collection. I will definitely pass now.

As far as Marine Life....LA, LA, LA, LA I'm NOT LISTENING.
th_LMAO.gif

I am trying so hard not to get sucked in by the hype. Yes it is pretty but I know I probably won't use it. But then I hear such wonderful things from you guys...

For me, the shimmer was really noticeable because it was much darker than my natural skintone. I suppose from a distance it would add an overall shine, though, particularly if you are have a darker complexion or tan in the summer. It would definitely be pretty in sunlight.

Well I am going to call my local Nordies & take off FOB my pre-order list, I really just don't NEED another blue/teal eyeliner, plus Undercurrent looks a lot prettier! Like Audrey mentioned, I should just get a BU if UC.
I might add Beachbound, but does anyone know if it looks anything like Beigeland from Spring Colour? TIA!

Well damn I wrote out a long ass post and it didn't post it grrrr!!! Well anyways I got my haul in! I love my MA's
greengrin.gif
and I'm sure they love me too lol. I really hate to say it, I was totally anti-Marine Life, but omg it is a gorgeous color! Even without the overspray it is still an awesome color I am comtemplating a backup! I think I need help um... Oh yeah Flurry of Fun is sooo gorgeous in person too, the teal glitter is soo hot! I got 3 of those... My MA also raved about the cream bronzer and I tried it out and it is actually pretty nice! I got one of those, the blushes, and I only got 2 of the lippies since the others didn't really fancy me anymore. I got Beachbound and Lazy Day. I got Firecracker eyeshadow which I am dying to do a look with! I was suppose to get Sweet and Punchy but my MA accidently gave me Shimmermoss instead, oh well I don't have that shade anyway. I thought I did but it turned out it was Steamy lol. They never got Sand and Sun in either because someone but out Humid twice in the tester unit lol. So I will order S&P when it hits online. And probably a back up of Marine Life, and possibly another Flurry of Fun...um my name is Kayla and I have an addiction lol. Overall I think this is going to be another hit as far as collections go!
