Sooo giddy about Marina Life!! I'm a sucker for hype I guess.
smiles.gif

But I'm with Mary Jane... surprised that so many people want a backup without seeing it first. I know it's supposed to sell out super quick... But it's hard for me to say that I need a back up when A) I don't even know if I would love it for sure and B) Only blush I hit the pan on was Pink Swoon, which I wear a lot and even that I'm not even close to finishing (and I wear a lot of blush). I can't picture myself running out of Marine Life unless I "married it", threw away all my other blushes and used only ML everyday for 2 years.

So other then that, my list keeps changing. In addition to Marina Life, I want Sweet & Punchy, Life's A Breeze lipliner, Float On By liner, and maybe Firecracker. I don't know. I'd have to see some pretty combos on some fair skinned girls to be sold on it. The color sounds pretty though.

Get-away bronze blush looks really nice! She used quite a bit but it looks really "summery"

And Flurry of fun matched with beach bound looks amazing!!

OMG!!! She is gorgeous!!!!! I must have Flurry of Fun l/g!!! I'm so backing it up about 3 times lol

My somewhat final list:

Sand & Sun e/s
Hipness blush
Get-Away Bronze blush

Easy Lounger l/g
Marine Life powder (maybe)

I'll be alternating my list if I don't make up my mind of what I want lol

lol, u're not alone I have no desire to get it either. It's less to do with me rebelling than the fact that I have quite a few coral blushes and highlighters and don't really want another...there's too much good stuff coming in late summer/fall.

I am considering a back-up for ML..because I love corals <3 sso much, but mmost the ones I come across are orange based, unlike ML which is pink.

BUt I don't plan to get a back-up until I try it on. I put one on hold at Mac pro, if I like it soo much the I need another one, I'll pick it up next week when it launches in all stores.

I think the sea horse is cute, but I hate to say I'd like the product better without it, that way there would be no wrries about using it and it be easier to get lol :p.

Can someone PLEASE swatch Sand and Sun for me along with Tete-a-Tint and Arena???

I'm trying to talk myself out of Sand and Sun but my MA let me okay with the testers...I put Sand and Sun over Coral Crepe Paint Pot with Firecracker and it was GORGEOUS!!!

BUT...I need to know that it's not *just* like Arena or Tete-a-Tint

Thanks!

Ok so if I have only worn Hot Hot Hot 2x since I got it, do I need Firecracker really? And I am feeling like Beachbound is similar to Beigeland, just a little peacher and less gold. Anyone agree? Man, WHY doesn't my counter take depots anymore?
ssad.gif
I'd definately be getting the l/s I am on the fence about if I could B2M for them!

Went to the Nordie's MAC counter tonight and they had everything up and out on display. At first I freaked, because I thought they were already on sale, and I have no money until next week. So I asked the super nice MA if they were, and he said nothing could be sold until next week, but that they were taking pre-orders! So I went a little crazy and pre-ordered waaay too much. But I think I'm going to love all of it. Also, he said that they got a stock of 30 Marine Life's in because MAC sent them extra because they've been hearing all the hype, BUT after I got my pre-order set aside, they only had 4 left!! So girls, get on that pre-order party train if you can and quick!!

No, you don't need firecracker

& while Beachbound is pretty in the tube, yeah, prolly just a peachier shade but sheer peach

My list is iffy:

Firecracker for sure
Marine Life.... maybe
Get Away Bronze maybe
Fun Flurry and only thanks to all the gals saying how pretty it is
Sweet & Punchy if I cant find Rated R.

I'm trying to find Rated R to swap with so I wont have to spend the money on getting S&P. I'm assuming that we can't B2M due to the special pkg?

Having to worry about running around for Marine Life because my store had a launch party and probably sold all of them (and the news of Disney villains!) is slowly starting to kill my lemming for it.

And it's a totally hype-manufactured lemming! I remember when I was adamant that I didn't want one because of the overspray!
th_LMAO.gif

The funny thing is, I probably won't miss Marine Life at all if I don't get it. I didn't buy any of the blush ombres, and after a brief yearning for Ripe Peach, I just moved on to wanting the next pretty shinies from MAC. There's always something new on the horizon, so I probably won't drive myself crazy looking for Marine Life if it's not in stock when I buy my goodies.

I don't think Marine Life is hype - I think its a really pretty summer pinky coral with a pretty pinky highlight with an adorable design in really cool packaging. Its summery!

How do you do your depots? If you use the flatiron method, you can buy empty pans and pop those in place of the depot and then turn them in. That's what I do...I even dirty them up with a little eye shadow residue.

Karin, I use a heat gun, and most of my pots have obviously been depotted.

I am going to try a different method to keep them intact so I can cheat.

I finally saw To the Beach in person today and it was just as lovely as i expected it to be. The stand out product's for me are the Beach Bronze Cream Bronzer (has a lovely cream to powder finish, and the shimmer is not too aggressive) and Flurry of Fun lipglass (if you are a fan of peachy orange lipglass with the most beautiful multi faceted array of shimmer you have to get this, it has a sea foam green and lavender,super-fine milled shimmer through out it.)

Sweet & Punchy as well as Firecracker have great pigmentation and are as smooth as silk. I have the Rated R Nars duo, but I am getting Sweet and Punchy any ways because it is beautiful. A shimmery chartreuse shade. If you do not have anything like this I highly recommend it.Firecracker is a pretty coral-pink shade. I don't know what I will do with it yet but I like it. Sand and Sun is confirmed as sucking, it has terrible color pay off. Sadly because it looks great IN the pot

Easy Lounger lipglass is gorgeous shellish baby pink in the tube, but the color pay off is quite minimal and looks pretty much like a clear gloss with fine silver metallic shimmer. Once it wore off I was left with the fine silver metallic shimmer clinging to my lips. This will happen with Flurry of Fun too, but that one will leave pretty sea foam green shimmer on your lips.

Lazy Day lipstick reminds me a little of Real Doll and Angel lipsticks. This would be a great basic light pink for summer. I wanted to get Splashing lipglass to top this one but Splashing was going on way too gloopy for me I could not get an even application. It was the most pigmented of the 3 lipglass choices though. I might try it again because it is a pretty pink to wear while strolling in your white sundress.

Beachbound lipstick was cute in a basic boring kind of way, just a veil of fine champagne-peachy gold shimmer, very light. Thrills and Funbathing lipsticks are gorgeous I want them but I don't know how much use I will get out of them. They remind me of sexy summer makeup.I am undecided though.

Marine Life was actually quite boring, it swatched as a rather bland chalky coral to me.

Hipness and Get Away Bronze are both coming home with me though, Hipness is the perfect pink-coral cheek for summer. And Get Away Bronze will put you in the spirit of summer with a glowy bronze radiating from your cheeks. I am fair skinned but I did not find Get Away Bronze to be too overbearing.Use this over your Cream Bronzer for maximum staying power.

The nail polishes are skip-able, I saw similar shades by Maybelline for a fraction of the price.Try your local drugstore for something similar and cheaper if you do not want to spring for MAC's polish.

The Lustre Drops are skip-able in my opinion too, just boring and not that special, as well as the body oil that I swatched all over my arm and it faded off within an hour.

The eyeliner and lipliner packaging is gorgeous, with the coral reef detail and the irridescent white paint. Float on By and Rosemary and Thyme were pretty but I have heard they smudge heavily. I did not try them out though.

That's what I got from my MAC local store when I went there 2 weeks ago. The MA said it's gonna be in store June 7th!!!! I didn't believe her, but when I read this, she might be right??!

Does anybody know if we can pre-order at Macy's?

I could pre-order at my Macy's. They even rang up my order. I can pick it up on May 27th. I think the Asia launch is in June but if you live in the US, it's on the 27th, except for pro stores that launch it a week earlier. Hope this helps.

I completely ignored Flurry of Fun and didn't even think twice about swatching it on my hand, let alone trying it on... but then as we were going to check out, the MA put some on my sis and it looked SO AWESOME! I told her I wanted to try it and it was pure LOVE! I really recommend trying it out in person if you get the chance, because it looks nothing like it does in the tube
