MAC - To The Beach Discussion

My MAC freestanding says no B2M for TTB. I called just to check even though I knew they wouldn't let me b/c it's special packaging.

That's what I'm planning to do on Monday, if they say yes just print out the transcript and take it in to the store with you. I've pretty much got my mind set on what I want, if they say I can B2M I'll be taking the print out with me to my freestanding store to get the lipsticks/glosses I want, otherwise I'll just order online Tuesday morning.

I went to a mountain (California) to enjoy nature with my boyfriend yesterday. Over there, it started snowing and didn't stop. Beautiful but very cold! I could not feel my hands in the end.

So, obviously, I'm happy to be back and read about this happy beach collection.

My plan is ordering Marine Life online on Monday (I'm a blush addict.

), and will decide for the rest at the store on either Thursday or Friday. Cannot wait to see them IRL. They seem very pretty! Thanks for the new swatches, Life's A Breeze and Splashing are back on my check list. Not sure about the bronzers right now since I love using By Candlelight MSF for a natural healthy glow. (I have one with b/u) Do they look much different? I have to see.

I hope you girls somehow can use pro discount and can B2M for this collection.

I just have rotten luck with this collection. I went to the store where I was going to have my m/u done on Friday to try and pre-order my items. Well I was told they were doing any pre-orders and they dont even know what they're getting in and all they had was samples for them to try. Why is it that no one will let me pre-order

. I told her I wasnt about to come down Thursday, buy stuff then come back on Friday again so the one MUA went to see when the one MUA I like was going to be in and turns out she'll be there 10-7 on Thursday so I'm going Thursday now instead of Friday. I'll be there when they open the doors!

About Marlena I watched to vid and noticed too that she hadnt even barely gotten the overspray off like others have said. No wonder it's shimmery! Can't she even see it's just overspray and not through the whole product? I'm surprised she didnt do her research on the collection before making the vid. Why not talk about all the products instead of the things she likes?

So, excluding the pigments on counters thing, there won't be a new collection until July? If so, this is a blessing and a curse. I get to buy things from Sephora that I want, save some money, but I may go into Mac withdrawl.

Edit to say: Even though beachbound is gorgeous, especially with FoF lipglass, I think I'll skip it b/c I'm afraid it'll give me a crackhead look. Not cool

. So, just a backup of FoF and I'm done.

Just went to Nordstrom and pre-ordered Lazy Day, Splashing, and Shimmermoss from this collection, and they will be shipping it out to me

I was happy because I had a gift certificate, but I can hardly ever get there!

I'm so mad! I pre-ordered over two weeks ago, and today I called in to check on my pre-order and was told that the lady who pre-ordered my stuff screwed up because Marine Life had pre-sold out and I wasn't one of the recipients.

ARGHHH!

Edit Who was the girl who had 4 extras? I just might need to buy 2 from her... (Backup worthy!)

Thanks! I should be ok if they werent taking any pre-orders then that means they should be stocked the minute to door opens! If not then I have 3 more MAC's I can go to from there

Yeah when I saw the video and she said that Marine Life was ver shimmery I was like mmm thats just the OVERSPRAY!! the actual powder is not very shimmery it has a hint but not like OMG discoball face like she made it look like... I guess many people who saw that video won't buy Marine Life now but that means MORE for us haha yaaay!
