MAC - To The Beach Discussion

[1 UP Mushrooms]

I have fought off the urge to get FOF....at least for now! I prefer lipsticks over glosses and according to swatches I'm thinking FOF will be too sheer for my liking (I like glosses that are pigmented enough to be worn alone and I have pigmented lips).

I admit Beachbound & FOF looks gorgeous together but I rather not have to buy 2 items for one look. So I only end up getting Marine Life, Hipness & Lazy Day.

I just called another freestanding store and they had 2 Marine Lifes left and said they could presell it to me! I hesitated and then decided I better get one just in case my Nordstrom falls through. I feel pretty happy and safe now, if I don't get either one it obviously wasn't meant to be!

ETA: The store I called was the U Village MAC, so they technically should have one left for any ML-searchers in the Seattle area.

I didn't expect S&P to fly because it's so similar to other Mac colors and some Nars colors. It's an attractive color, but not unique. I didn't get any shadows from this collection. Thrills probably will sell out next, but it's hard to call.

I have very pigmented lips and I love FoF. I don't have BeachBound yet, but I have no problem wearing FoF alone and I love opaque color as well. It gives a slight bit of color to pigmented lips with that awesome teal shimmer. I think if people actually try this and not overlook it thinking it's just another goldish/peachy gloss, it would be the next to sell out, for sure.

And Marine Life bites the dust on Nordstroms.com

You get tickets through people who work for Estee Lauder and other companies there.

And Theresita - Awww! In the back of my mind I was always like, why are these girls buying lustre drops when they're still at CCO's and the warehouse sales?! Can you take them back to a store even though its an internet order? Maybe you can still CP and save some cash?

Did it occur to anyone that the "evilbayers" are probably all specktra and MUA-ers? Seriously, it's not like the entire world is aware of all this hype over ML, and 50-something balding men are sitting at their computers snatching them up to resell them. It's only those who love makeup and are into it enough to follow it online that actually know to buy and resell. Most girls that do actually love MAC but don't follow it online don't even know when collections are coming up.

On a related note, I've decided to leave my ML up to fate. I have a Bay gift card, so if the Bay has it in stock Thursday at lunch then it shall be mine. If not, I will try my best to not get sucked in. I don't even like coral on my cheeks.

I've been looking forward to B2M-ing for Lazy Day and Splashing. That should satisfy my fix for a while

Ladies, I just got the shipping confirmation for my order. It was for Marine Life and two GMLOL eye shadows.

I ordered around 3:30 pm PST yesterday. So those people who ordered around that time should be OK? Hoping for a good news for everybody.

Cannot wait to check the rest of the collection at the store.

Back on topic, I have ML as my profile pic on Facebook and my friend asked me about it. I said guuurrl, it's gone unless you get to the store Thursday. Now she's all in a frenzy.
