I had no idea you can B2M special packaging...Or I thought you actually couldn't... but B2M is definitely in every counter/store.

Are my eyes deceiving me or are Marine Life and Hipness quite similar? If so, that means I can get either/or and not both? I'm scratching my head on that. They seem pretty much the same except Hipness has more bang for the buck. I may have to skip Marine Life. I've never had luck with Mac highlighters. Say it isn't so!

I asked the makeup artist if I could still register, and she put me on the list. Didn't need any invitation. Call the nearest store and ask if they're still registering.

i'm confused i called about an event at the pro store here and she said they are taking appointments for the event and it's the day after the collection comes out. she said there's a min $50 purchase. that's totally fine and all and i made an appointment but i'm concerned about a few things.
is this just a way for them to con me into a pd for makeover? and do you think anything in the collection will sell out within the first two days? i'm trying to figure out if i should go in the day it comes out and have them reserve everything i want then actually purchasing it on the day of the "event"
any insight would be greatly appreciated

IMO the whole point of going to the events is that they are usually held before the official release date. If it's after, why bother, and actually have to wait longer than you should to get your stuff.

that's how i thought about it too! i mean i NEVER get to get my makeup done by someone else(i guess that's part of what comes with being a makeup artist myself) so i figure if i'm gonna spend $50 maybe i'll just see if they can hold it or something and get the luxury of not having to do my own makeup

After watching that video I think I might pass on Float on By. I love the color, but if it's really that smudgy I won't have any use for it. I think I'll pick up one of MUFE's liners in a close shade instead.
Also, I've decided against the Seahorse powder and almost all of the lip stuff (minus Flurry of Fun and Life's a Breeze). The others look like I already own them by a different name somewhere, know what I mean? I've gotten distracted by Chanel anyway (oops!) and will be picking up a few lippies there instead.
So my new list:

Hipness
In The Buff
Sand & Sun (maybe)
Firecracker (maybe)
Cream Bronzer (maybe)

Celebrity inspired and couture collection such as give me liberty of london and baroque bidour aren't B2Mable. Normal MAC collections with special packaging are ok for B2M and pro card members.
