MAC - To The Beach Discussion

Wow. I now only have 3 items on my list! (LAB l/p, LD l/s, PR l/d).
I was all over the place and there was always a lot of maybe's! Anything I was unsure of has died down.

I still would like to see more of the bronzers though before I'm definite on them.

I've always found temptalia's swatches to be accurate. It's the makeup and beauty blog that throws me off. Every color looks the same on her lips (still love her though).

I hate evilbay people snatching up Marine Life. I refuse to pay those crazy prices for a beauty product, no matter what it is. Sick.

^^ I agree completely(on both the swatches and ebay).

I understand that some products generate a certain hype, but i just wouldn't pay that much either for any kind of beauty product. Most products you can easily find dupes of anyway, without the design of course but colour wise it's not that rare.

OT: I want to get one of the lustre drops any tips on choosing one? And what do you ladies use these for? I've seen these back when they were released with style warriors but skipped since i have no idea how to use them.

I' have read that you can mix these in with foundation. Any other ideas about uses and tips?

Yay today is swatching day! TTB hits UK counters today

I'm on board with eye problems, I don't know if I have hayfeaver or it's my UDPP but as soon as I step outside my eyes start streaming..when I finally gt on the bus it looks like i'm crying. It's frustrating because I can't wear eye make-up without it smudging/migrating to my chin, so I don't bother now. I'm going to look into the eye drops, too.

I have to go to the MAC store today wearing only mascara & MSFN, blasphemy!

Yup, I heard you can mix them with your foundation. If you want one for that purpose, choosing which one will have to depend on your undertones.

If you are more pink-toned, then Pink Rebel should suit you. If you are yellow-toned, Sun Rush might be a better bet.

I'm planning to get Sun Rush!

Thanks, I think I'll just have the MA test em both and see which one I like best. I hope I can resist and not walk out with both

Thank you, hun, you too, of course! Just be careful and try to go to see a doctor as soon as you can, if the problem doesn't go away. I'm seeing my eye doctor Monday, luckily. I just went on a swatchathon. 2 sets of b2m in hand. Well, you can no longer b2m for special packaging at my store. "we used to, but because we don't get many in..Say we get 12 & the staff buy some" 12?! thats why everything sells out.

I'm not too disappointed this time round. Lazy Day was your usual suspect light pink lustre..very similar to others (for me anyway, I have Nude Rose, 3N, Patisserie, Creme Cup which will do for me). I did want to b2m for Beach Bound, probably for the casing, but it wasn't anything special, peach frost, no pigmentation.

I was suprised by the lighter coloured Cream Bronzer, it didn't look too muddy on me! I could pull it off (and i can never pull off bronzer), so there is hope for fair beauties.

The only thing I was gutted about was Flurry of Fun, it's so unique & pretty. This is the thing I would have bought (5 of) it has a lovely green & violet sheen. Kind of like Lollipop Loving in a lipglass

but I couldn't afford to buy another lipgloss, either that of my OH would have killed me. Splashing was nice, too, but nothing overly unique.

This is just my humble opinion, I can't justify having 2 lipsticks one shade apart, noone will notice the difference in..but others may love it.

to me, ripe peach seems like a lighter Joie De Vivre, so does JDV look similar to Hipness (so I can skip Hipness)..

In the Buff looked ugly to me too. The swatch shocked me. It may look less dreadful IRL.

As my mum always say, if a colour is manufactured, it must have appealed to someone.

No, I don't like it either...that shade of green is just not for me. I prefer either more aqua greens or deep forest greens. No likey yellow Shrek green on me

I like Temptalia's swatch on her arms. But nothing on her lips looks the same on my lips. I think I have much pinker lips. I love Karen's blog too but her swatches don't really help me as our skintones are totally different (she's much darker and warmer). Speaking of which Sand on Sun does not show up on her arm at all. I hope that won't be the case for me.

I love Karen's site, but sooooo many times her swatches are so different on her than they are on me. Everything looks quite pink on her arm. I lol'ed when I saw how S&S was completely invisible on her.

And I did live chat just now to confirm the date of this collection since bloomingdales had it so early & they did confirm 5/27 in store & 5/25 online. Of course I'll check online every day until then, but those are the dates the live chat girl said FYI
