Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Well my list changed considerably after the new swatches. I was able to take a few things off. (thank goodness!)

so i really think the lipsticks/gloss combos are very nice and I have been leaning towards bolder lips lately and this is going to be a great way for me to try that out.

from the cruella collection i want:
heartless lipstick
wicked ways gloss
de-vil eyeshadow
sweet joy eyeshadow ( i dont have anything like this for some reason, so just want to wear it with de-vil/and or coppering)
and possibly her own devices

for evil queen:
toxic tale lipstick
strange potion gloss
bite of an apple (maybe)

maleficent:
dark deed lipstick
wrong spell gloss
she who dares ( iwasnt going to get either of the shadows, but that green swatch just blew that idea out of the water for me! )
and bad fairy nail polish, holy mess that looks so pretty!

so hopefully ill be able to get what i want since my list has gone down considerably...fingers crossed!

i'm against bronzer on all levels period, and i'm pastey white!

anywho, my offer still stands for anyone who knows for sure what items they want.

Oh gosh, after seeing all the swatches, I am SO overwhelmed!

I definitely want:

Wicked Ways l/g
Strange Potion l/g

Maybe: Bite of an Apple

Still deciding on what else I want. I love that the Cruella line has the Dalmatians on it! So cute.

I think my favorite collections are Maleficent and Evil Queen.

Here is my list after checking out the swatches:

Wicked Ways Lipglass
Heartless Lipstick
Bite of an Apple Blush
My Dark Magic Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo
She Who Dares Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo
Bad Fairy, Formidable and Mean & Green Nail Lacquer
Briar Rose Beauty Powder
Truth & Light Magically Cool Liquid Powder

After this collection, I will hopefully suffer from the limited edition burnout syndrome as well and cut down future spending.

I like the promo boxes Temptalia received with the collection.... its too bad thats not buy-able! Strange Potion lipglass is the only thing i'm getting. My wallet is super happy but i'm a little disappointed coz i was expecting to buy more lol

I am just getting to see the swatches so my first question is how does Top Knot compare to Vile Violet??

Shontay- I always used the powder as a finisher.
Liba- Yeah the powder would kind of finish towards the powdery side for me if that makes sense, it just has this really neat cooling effect and this wet to dry technology, something everyone just needs to feel lol. Sorry it took me so long to write back I was at work all day!

What kind of brush do you think is best for this powder. I have a mufe kabuki brush and the Mac 150. Do you think it's best to sweep it on or just pat it?

^I would always sweep mine on with like a regular powder brush, I never tried it with a kabuki..must experiment with that when I pick it up!

Definitely feel that Evil Queen is going to be my favorite part of this collection. LOVE Wicked Ways gloss though! Dr. F. is a skip for me, as the only thing I see wanting there is Bold and Brash.

Weird. You don't look NC45 (more like NW45). Anyway, bronzers look amazing on dark skintones so don't skip a product just because you don't want to be perceived as being "more brown". That's silly!

I love the color that it is as I love corals, but I just think a close to apple color would have been more fitting in this case. imo

I kinda ignored the new blush swatches and still pictured it as the first swatch I have seen of it which was much more intensly red colored. I don't know why they couldn't have made it a true red with beautiful gold shimmer. I am thinking of skipping it now. lol

I will pay more attention if my shoppers/winners has orly. I don't really like winners though as beauty products are almost always tested/opened.

When I saw the swatches on Temptalia, I was like I MUST HAVE everything!! But now I am able to think more clearly. haha. Still not excatly sure what I want, except for all the nailpolishes!

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Welp my list got bigger after seeing Temptalia! But I'm not going to set my list in stone until I see Erines swatches. I surprizingly want Violetta lipstick. I thought it would be too bold on me. But I'm a purple and MAC lipstick lover and its a gorgeous color. And want to see what it will look like paired with Best of Breed l/g from FF

Congrats! Where did you get it? I was silly enough to skip Style Black collection (and regreted it afterwards).

I've seen the Viva collection there for $9.99CAD...hopefully they get more! But I have a feeling it won't be much, kind of like how they have a puny rack of Essie's that are prob the perm collection ones. And not in time for Cosmix.

Oh yes, and Winners. But I only see like 1 or 2 colours at a time. And methinks Cosmix will sell out and not end up at the shelves of Winners!

This is related to Venomous Villains, I swear...this means that I have to get the MAC ones if I stand a chance of owning anything as beautiful as Space Cadet.

So for me:
- Revenge is Sweet l/g
- Mean & Green n/p
- maybe Formidable n/p
- Sweet Joy e/s

Thanks for answering back!

I'm dying for a highlight that makes the skin look dewey and buffed and slicks right over the pores. Something with a satin or even glossy finish. MSFs are powdery enough for me, don't want to go anymore powdery than that. Hehe, I guess I am feeling retardedly specific about what I'm craving

I just don't like bronzer. I think it makes me look sick. Like I have a rash. Any time I went to Mac in the past they always gave me NC whatever. Since just about every mac formula breaks me out, I moved on to mufe.
