But don't worry, I haven't abandoned pink in general!

Just to say I owned Hot House and sold my back up away recently (colour didn't suit me too well) and it's not your average medium pink goss. It's on the dark side of medium and has an almost purpulish tint to it. It is stunning and different to magnetique which runs a bit cooler.

ITA. It leaned more purple than most of the magenta lippies I have seen, and I don't think it is that dupeable. But if anyone knows dupes, I am all ears because I love that color! For me it was very similiar to magnetique but less opaque and it has fushia pearls/glimmer which magnetique does not have. But those 2 Hothouse and magnetique are both very unique and my fave lipgloss colors from MAC!

So I wore Brave Red with Cherry liner today and got
graucho.gif
looks all day. I was like "see, I don't need Hearltess b/c I have Brave Red". I know Heartless looks more cherry/lighter/brighter or whatever, but it all leads to the same place. Then, I took pics of myself and why did I think how can I not buy Heartless when this is so hot?!

The Amplified finish will help me stand firm that I don't need it, though. I prefer Lustre's and Cremesheens.

I love a bold lip; I almost always wear either fuchsia, berry/red, or purple/plum.
I will use a fan brush to lightly dust on a bit of deep/bright blush, too, and as long as I'm careful not to overdo, it looks fine.
However, I go pretty tame on the eyes, staying with either brown, gray, or taupe shadows, with ipper lids only lined with thin lines of black liner.
My bright green eye color is so striking and unusual that I don't want to add "competing" bright color in that area with shadow.
Back to Venomous Villains: I think this would have been the *perfect* collection in which to re-release "Queen's Sin" lipstick, and I'm kind of disappointed that it isn't there.
If I didn't have a backup, I'd be reeeally disappointed!

I really shouldn't be buying anything from VV, but I am quite tempted to get French Quarter, Heartless and Strange Potion. We'll see how strong my will power is.

I'm still in love with [the discontinued] Powerhouse, the very first red lipstick that actually looked red on me!
It was an Amplified Creme, so maybe Heartless will be similar ...

Found my violet blush! MUFE #9 looks really scary in the pan but with a skunk brush and a light hand turns into the perfect purple blush on me. I also decided BR is just too close to AB, so I am going to probably pass on it. I have 5 AB backups and use very little each day. It will probably last me for years! Looks like my list is:

Both MES, another slick black GPS backup and that is it.

So small and sad, my list.

Life will go on if you don't get a particular lipstick/product. Often, I feel like I MUST have a product and when I get it, I use it and love it, but then quickly move on to other products I feel that I MUST have or else I am incomplete. I am trying to break the cycle and focus on things I actually do need like clothes/shoes.

This collection is the last one that I am getting a few things from and then I am cut off from MAC for hopefully a long time. And even though I am super excited about this collection now, I promised to myself I am going to be very selective and not go crazy.

I wonder if they'll have a cool party favor at the preview party? For Disney? I mean...so many possibilities! Or do they only do party favors for the Holiday collections...

this isn't indy, is it? or are you still outside of indy?

I agree wholeheartedly with what you have said. I already have more than my fair share of makeup, and so many items remain brand new and untouched in my stash. Why do I still feel a compulsive need to buy more then? I realize that I have an addiction and it needs to be stopped before it gets out of hand. There are other things that I need more than makeup, and I have to start saving for graduate school if not I'll never get to go at all (which will be pretty tragic for me). VV is going to be my last major MAC haul as well.

You took the words out of my mouth

I feel really bad buying all of this stuff when the majority of it doesn't get used too often. Like, I'll see a color, and I'll be like "Ooh- that is going to look awesome at my friend's wedding next year" and I'll buy it just for that- it gets ridiculous. I'm thinking VV will be my last big haul for awhile, and then TT will be slightly smaller (hopefully) and I will maybe get 1-2 things from Cham-Pale. But, after that, I need to completely stop for awhile. I need to be saving for a new car- not more glittery-purple eyeshadows.

Luckily, I usually hate spring and summer collections, so I think I will be safe.

The Indy store at Keystone is the one I called. I live about an hour away from Indy, but about 2 or so hours away from your counter. Merrillville is about an hour away too.

BoA is going to be so beautiful. My first coral blush. I love that its so much deeper than hipness, fleur power and joyous. I can wear it with out having to build the color so much. thanks!

Congratulations on finding your perfect purple blush!

I know from experience that it's not easy.
I have MUFE #89, and I love it.
When I use my Paula Dorf fan brush to lightly dust #89 on my NW15 face, I get a fresh, flattering pink glow, with just a hint of a lilac undertone. This orchid/lilac blush has enough pink to be very wearable, but enough purple to set it apart from all of those countless "everyday" pink blushes out there. In fact, recently I wore #89 with MAC's Lavender Whip lipstick, and the two complimented each other beautifully, without being at all OTT.
Back to Villains: So far, my puny list consists of [a backup] Violetta, and maybe Heartless, since I'm hoping the latter will be similar to my beloved late Powerhouse.
