Her attitude is was pissed me off. First of all, I find it hard to believe that in the midst of all the chaos she was able to inspect every single box. Secondly, the item was sold to me damaged and it should not be an issue to get it exchanged for a new one. My fault for not checking before I left but by the time I got home last night...the mall was closed.

I keep all of my MAC boxes especially the ones that are special edition. Otherwise I wouldn't care if it was damaged. I really hope this won't be a problem when I go to exchange it on the 30th.

I would imagine if there's no issue with the actual product inside that they can easily give you a new box. I've had MUAs give me a few random boxes just because I'm a geek and sometimes love the packaging. They usually have extras lurking around either from the display items or for other reasons.

Um...jewel tones?

Sorry no, I didn't get a picture. My cell phone is lousy with closeups anyway.

That's what I said! *high five* Crap...the more I think on it, the less sure I become of buying BR over OSF.

Haha...same boat?

Which one did you like better?

I have Flower Mist Dew from Ungaro and I am hoping it is close enough to OSF for me so I can just go for BR...FMDit isn't shimmery but it gives me a very very light pink flush.

I can't decide between Oh So Fair, Briar Rose, and Bite of an Apple!

Help me decide. I wear about NW15-20 (since it's going to be winter, I will be pale). I have to buy online so no testing, any suggestions? I consider myself pretty fair.

After seeing it on you, I had to try it!

I am SO pissed right now. For some reason, they just turned the water off in my neighborhood or maybe it was earlier since I just got home. This sucks! Now I have to drive all the way to my mom's house to grab a shower.

Shouldn't they give me some kind of warning? WTF?

Yes, they should warn you.

I keep several cases of bottled water just in case. Sometimes, you gotta improvise.

^I have enough pink blushes to be content so I am going with BoaA. (NW 20) But what is a decently priced dupe for a 168? I don't own one!

Slightly off topic...but some of you ladies were talking about how gross it is to try on lip products and MRSA and whatnot (I don't remember if it was this thread or another) but anyways... At the party last night, there was a lady who was just trying on the lipglasses straight onto her lips with no problem. The applicator hadn't been cut (they do this at my normal counter not sure if they do it everywhere) and the MA was just watching and suggesting what to try on next.

^^ EWWW!

Has anyone read the article about this collection in the October Marie Claire (page 276)? I believe they messed up on the color of the nail polish. Says it is "Bad Fairy", but it actually looks like "Formidable!" Anyone else catch this? Otherwise interesting article.

Well I decided that I'm not going to haul anything from this collection.

Violetta l/s is available on the artistry section of the MAC USA site so I'm going to pick it up there.

I was thinking about BoAA blush but I'll stick with my Marine life powder.

I do want to see Revenge is Sweet and Strange Potion l/g in person before I decide if I want to purchase or not.

This collection has been so underwhelming for me.

So now I'm waiting for new msf's!!!

Its kinda strange that in most of the reviews, no raves for the two MES! i guess the standouts are the lip products and the cheek products in this one

I know... I just played around with She Who Dares...the green is stunning! One eye I put it on dry over a black base and the other I applied it wet with no base and they were both amazing... Wet was a little brighter and vivid but I can't say enough about this green!

I decided I will get Her Own Devices and Darkly My Dear when this launches and then I should be done

Most brands make that type of angled brush... I have a Sonia Kashuk one and a Sigma that I love just as much as the MAC.

i love it. it sounds like we're about the same coloring and i think that it's the best beauty powder from the collection for my skin.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I did some swatches comparing Wicked Ways in daylight today. It really is VERY close to Just Add Colour - I put them on my lips side by side and couldn't tell the difference. The pic below shows the difference best, WW is more red, but really in most lighting the difference is very subtle. I'm quite disappointed that I now have 2 pretty much identical glosses, which I will rarely wear, probably for more dressy occasions as an alternative to bold lips.

Fierce & Fabulous is just there for comparison, it's much more purple than the other two.

Can someone please remind me... The greasepaint sticks: do they crease? I want to say no, but then I thought I remembered Sharkskin (I know, it's not a greasepaint stick) not creasing, but it creases on me like nothing else!
