That's what I'll do then! The eyeshadows and lipsticks I'm not getting seem pretty dupable anyway.

Also, what does everyone who has swatched it think of Vile Violet? Is it unique enough to warrant a purchase? Also, for a matte, does it have good texture? It's slowly creeping onto my list.

I've been talking myself into and out of Dark Deed all day. I'm pretty pale so not sure if this is a good look or not. I don't really wear dark colors so maybe I should pass, but then I don't really have dark colors so maybe that's why I need it.

I got up super early to hit the Dallas pro store when it opened (anything in the A.M. is early for me -- I don't get home from work until midnight or later!) and hauled some VV.

I bought all the items I planned:
Dark Deed l/s
My Dark Magic mes
She Who Dares mes
Bad Fairy l/l (for my mom)

And I added some things from my maybe list:
Wrong Spell l/g
Violetta l/s
French Quarter gps
Briar Rose b/p

I actually wasn't planning on getting any of the beauty powders, but I tried on Briar Rose and loved it. I was afraid it would be too cool for me (NC25 with strong yellow undertones), as pink blushes often are, but it looks really lovely on. I didn't really need it, but the only pink blushes I have are Pretty Baby (kinda doesn't count) and Gentle (mineralized blush), so it is a useful purchase.

OK, I'll admit it -- I just couldn't resist the Maleficent compact!.

Her packaging is the only one I really liked. I passed on the cooling powders because the packaging was just too wacky.

I'll grab it if it becomes perm. Also, I would hate to buy an LE product like that, fall in love with it and then not be able to buy a new one when I run out.

I also passed on Toxic Tale and Strange Potion. I swatched them, but the colors didn't look particularly flattering next to my skin. Curse these yellow undertones! I may try them next week when the collection launches at my regular MAC store. But berries, plums and fuchsias are generally more flattering on me than bright lipsticks, anyway. I think I just wanted to love them because everyone else is.

I was also oddly drawn to Devilishly Stylish, but I don't know why.

If I do pick up anything else next week, I have a feeling this will be in black bag.

I am N5 in studiofix compact and I love dark vampy lips because light lipsticks, especially nudes, make me look sick, totally washed out and mousey. I have to have bright vibrant or dark vampy lips. You can sheer darks on and slowly build as you get more confidence, but pale girls with confident bold lips always look good to me.

Help me decide between Revenge is Sweet and Strange Potion. I know they look nothing alike but if you had to choose one which one and why? I keep going back and forth. I think I'm NC50ish in foundation (I don't wear it so I'm guessing by people who shades are similar to mine), dark hair, dark eyes. Any comments are appreciated!

YAY! I got my Dark Deed and I got to meet a Specktra-ite at the same time! I love the shade already... For those fair-skinned ladies who are wondering about dark lips- trust me, it works. Most men I know start to drool even thinking about the combination.

In keeping with the theme, remember how Snow White was described: Skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood... Blood's a pretty dark red when you think about it. And she was the fairest of them all.

The items I really did NOT like when I swatched them was Sinister, Her own devices( I was interested in this before but in person it was bleh), and Wrong spell...

Not sure if it's the case with all Pro stores, but the ones in Canada have the collection available to buy now, so it should be immediate.

NC45 here. I say Revenge is Sweet. It would be so rich on your chocolate skin. I just think it would make more of an impact. Not that STrange Potion is a bad choice I just think Revenge is sweet would be better.

Thanks! I like your description of 'impact' because that's what I'm trying to do more of with my makeup.

Off topic: I just recently started posting on Specktra after years of being a member and I must say everyone is so helpful and sweet. It really does feel like a community.

I love this, and I love dark vampy lips! I have no idea why I thought I could pass on Dark Deed, but I should know that resistance to the dark side is futile.

Side note: My list is changing constantly! I have no idea what will actually end up coming home. Game time decision...meaning I'll probably get way more than planned.

So I cancelled my pro order all together after it was a hassle to place it my bank card wasnt being processed even though the funds were there and what not.

As a back up I had my wants on hold at Macys poor MAC lost out on a ptentially larger sale. I was going to spend 150 online just for the free shipping at macys im spending under 100

Dear MAC please work out all your kinks in the website, billing, and ordering processes not to mention have all employees treat us with kindness and be educated on their jobs.

I checked with my counter today and we aren't doing anything but a huge makeover weekend (no pre-selling). My fav MA was working but so was the manager so didn't get to see any of the products, but she said they are in the drawer and ready to go. She knows I will be there at 10 am when the store opens Sept 30
