Do you have any thoughts on Wicked Ways? It looks straight-up pink in some swatches, and if that is the case, I'll pass. I don't know if you've seen it, but if you have, I'd love any thoughts.

No, I don't.

I saw it at the party, but didn't even think about swatching it because I wasn't that interested. (Don't know what I was thinking. Lol) But I'm thinking about picking it up to add just a little shine over Heartless.
yes.gif
Hopefully it's not straight pink.

i know about the OPI one, but that doesn't come out til november-ish, and flaminbird said orly had the dupe for it too, but its not in the same collection as the other 2 dupes. that's why i was askin.

Yeah- I think I'll get it to add some shine, too.

Or for days when I don't want a really bold red.

bite of an apple was on my list for the longest time, but i'm a bit scared it'll be too dark on me, i don't think i can work coral-ish blushes and i figure if i have to sheer it out a lot then i'll never get through it

it's so pretty though!

I've never worn red lipsticks too so I totally know what you mean. But there was something in Heartless that I was drawn into. I think this lipstick along with Bite of an Apple blush would look AWESOME on pale skin gals. BOAA was pigmented but with a light hand I'm sure it'll work on just about anyone! Don't let how bright it looks scare you, it's very wearable imo.

For me, the most appealing part of this collection has been the MES's <3 They bring to mind the awesome ones from Style Black last year (yay for MAC nostalgia ^_^)

When I wore Ruby Woo the other day, it was only one of a few times I have worn red out during the day. To make it less in your face, put a different color gloss on top..I used Strawberry Blonde, so it came out as a red raspberry on me rather than flat out red of Ruby Woo.

it's fuchsia. if you read the official color descriptions, that's what it's supposed to be, but i think everyone is thinking of it as a red because of how it looks in the tube. i've been debating whether or not to post about this ever since i got it but i didn't want to be all debbie downer about it without anyone asking about it.

i think if you put one a few couple thick coats of it, it would be more red, but with a normal application (or a superthick application that's had a few minutes to start to fade), it's fuchsia. it's seriously purple. i would liken it more to revenge is sweet than i would to russian red (in color, not texture).

that being said, i think it's a nice color. it's more day appropriate than a straight up red, and is a nice alternative to a red gloss if you like that look but want to branch out a little.

i tried to take a picture of it, but like all my other photos, it came out horribly. but at least you can get some idea that's it more purple than a red. it can be found here (i have on a pretty thick coat of the gloss on here; it definitely is more pink with just a thin coat; it doesn't come up as dark as it is in this picture either):

I'm sure it would look lovely! I think a neutral eye look is really all you need but I'm sure you can add some colour if you want a bolder look.

I finally played around with my Truth & Light today, and it's gorgeous!!! Not glittery or sparkly at all, it just gives a very nice sheen. I'm just wondering, those of you that have it already, how are you using it? Over powder, or straight over foundation? And what kind of brush are you applying with? I'm thinking the 188 for cheekbone, or the 187 if I dare try it all over.

Hm... now I'm wondering if I really want Wicked Ways.

I thought it was a red... but it's true, the description says fuchsia.

Wicked Ways is a maybe, but I'll probably skip.

yeah, I really wanted it to be red, so if the swatch isn't as red as I think, I should probably just pick up Russian Red, I think that's as classic pin-up red as it gets, right?
