VV is more vivid than Memorabilia. MwL is more subtle in color, but I believe the finish is different. Depending on why you had difficulty with MwL, you may still be able to wear TT.

Exactly. I got Formidable because I was right there at Mac, I like the brand and I know I'd be too lazy to order Orly online. It doesn't matter. What's $3 when you're already dropping tons on this collection? It's all a matter of preference, I guess.

You guys got me wanting to buy Bad Fairy now. It never ends.

Another good point- I don't want to hunt down the Orly ones. Might as well get the MAC, right?

I really love reading you guys' posts!

Hope you'll get what you want. I'm not a nail polish person at all, so, I feel safe there.

I visited the counter again today. My MA found Bite of an Apple which was missing in the basket yesterday. She said I can swatch it. On me (NC17? lol), it looked coral-y. It reminded me of the darker part of Marine Life. Briar Rose and Oh So Fair were both nice. BR was pigmented as a beauty powder.

No, it's not an official receipt. It looks exact like a receipt, but more like a customer pick-up proof. I told them one more time, that I'll be late picking up (Oct 2nd). At least they know me, so, hopefully my stuff will be there when I show up.

I'll be going to Yosemite National Park with my parents and my boyfriend. Meadows, mountains, falls, rivers, trees, deers, bears, but no MAC.

LOL I feel the same way. Also I'm hoping that when they become perm there will be a color in between these two. I don't need a highlighter nor a contour, I want something that I can use all over my NC30 face and I feel that these two will not work for me.

get the MES. They are beautiful. In my swatches, none of them are wet. They just look good on their own. MCLP is a good item to have, but I have a feeling we will see it again.

I agree! I'm NC35 and I have a feeling Cajun would make me look a bit more tanned... I wouldn't mind exactly, I've been searching for a good bronzer.
If they do become permanent, I have a feeling I'd end up buying both TL and Cajun.

Yes, no MAC, but it sounds beautiful and relaxing! I'd like to see the Redwoods and just take a picture standing next to one. Talk about enormous!

Yep, 'tis true. Even though nail polish is definitely chock-full of noxious chemicals and such, in which you would think germs simply wouldn't be able to survive - it can indeed become contaminated and harbour all kinds of bacteria that can then be transferred to other users.

The best way to swatch a nail polish at the store to really get an idea of what it would look like on you is to put a piece of clear scotch tape overtop of one of your own fingernails, and then apply the polish onto the tape (concentrating on the shape of your nail bed). That way you don't risk transferring any nasties from the bottle to yourself, and you'll have a much better idea of what the colour will look like on your nails.

The only downside to this technique is that you either need to carry a roll of tape with you or hope that the store/counter happens to have some you can use (in which case the SA's might look at you like you're a little

, but I figure it's a small price to pay LOL!)

I know mineral foundations and powders are a no for me, but I'm wondering if I can do a mineralized eyeshadow? These are so tempting. I keep telling myself I can recreate the look with normal shadows, but deep down I know I can't. Damn allergies.

Off topic: anyone think it's worth getting the water based mixing medium? I am happy using fix+, but is the mixing medium totally better? If so, I want to order it now b/c my pro store never has it in stock.

If you're allergic, it's probably better to skip, unfortunately. Especially somewhere as sensitive as your eyes.

Personally, I love my Water Based Mixing Medium, but I reach for fix+ more. I get about the same results

Maybe that's just me. But, when I have to time to really work with the colors, Water Based Mixing Medium is awesome, just because it makes it a little more vibrant and lasts a little longer on me.

Hi y'all! ♥I'm a long time lurker but wanted to post for the very first time because of this collection. ♥Thanks to everyone as well for the awesome reviews! ♥

I visited my Nordstrom MAC counter today to check out the lovelies in person and whoa it didn't disappoint. ♥Well okay, perhaps I was underwhelmed with Innocence Beware, not because the color is ugly but that it's super bleh on my pigmented lips and nc40 skin. ♥The purple MES was just okay.. the purple was vivid. It actually is very similar to Nars Daphne but with glitter. I much prefer Young Punk hands down.

I did fall in love with BoA. ♥It swatches like ML at first but then I soon realized it was everything I wanted ML to be. ♥No shimmer and more red. ♥One swipe produced the right color... And yeah it's beautiful.

Wicked Ways, the most gorgeous red ever. ♥Heartless too. ♥I didn't come home with them but I'm definitely getting WW on Thursday.

Revenge is Sweet is definitely jelly like. ♥It's the perfect mlbb gloss on me. ♥ Makes my lips look super juicy

French Quarter is Dirty gps but dirtier lol. ♥It's a lot darker but just as beautiful.

Devilish lipgloss is what I wanted IB to look like on me. ♥Lovely nude with shimmer.

The best part of today was me being able to come home with my stuff! ♥The manager okayed it and I nearly went nuts with excitement. ♥Now that I think about it.. I should've swatched the rest of the lip and eye stuff. ♥I'll probably make a trip there first thing tomorrow so it won't be as busy as it was there today.

I picked up Briar Rose, I wanted the compact haha but my fav compact is still the Evil queen. I think I may pick up toxic tale later on and that will be the end of my Venomous Villains fever.

I swatched Salsarose and it was sooooo gorgeous, I still love boa but I am totally picking up salsarose later.

I also swatched Apple red and it was kinda orange? I don't get why they can't just make a red-red blush.
