The reviewer does not consider Violetta at all but states:


“Berry Haute” is very much a cool-toned purple like MAC “Up The Amp.” -- it doesn't look like Up the Amp either

but it is lovely.

-- I keep all my lip products -- lipsticks/ glosses in refrigerators with a moderated temp.. also they are not used by anyone other than myself so I don't feel the need to sanitize them with any frequency. That said, an alcohol mist generally works well to eliminate any surface germs.

When I test a product, I slice off a piece of the bullet and use that on Stainless steel palettes

I havent posted in this thread before..I have lurked for awhile but I never saw about when its expected to be up online.

Im definitely wanting bite of an apple, and my dark magic. Last week when I was out of town and at mac the SA said its expected to sell out very quickly, and I live 2 hours from a store..so buying online is my only chance.

A little off topic but... How long can l/s keep in the fridge? I have my real doll & rocking chick b/u's in my refridgerator and was wondering if they could still be ok.

I'm NW10 and I am really drawn to it too. I swatched it and it is pretty dark but I think it'd be really pretty with a light hand. And I saw a MA with it blended across her cheekbones lightly with BoaA on the apples of her cheeks and it was sooo

What's the temp? I especially worry about mine since it is usually always in the 90s or higher where I live

I'll just use alcohol- thanks!

What temperature and why? Will it help with preservation? Should I be refrigerating my cosmetics?

haha scuba diving is awesome! Think of getting a big MAC haul but a million times more of a thrill is how it is for me. Do you ever go with him?

A lipgloss that reminded me of Strange Potion at shoppers is "Hush" by Quo. It may be a canadian only brand though. Even if they are slightly different, Id rather get the one by Quo 'cause it smells like candy!!

I don't find anything strange about "strange potion".

Everytime I hear someone rave about Violetta, I am like Ill check it out again but when I do, I am always like "meh, it's ok". Up the amp tickles the spot though!

I thought about Violetta when I saw it which is why I posted it, but wasn't sure. Up the Amp looks a little pinker to me. But glad you found yourself a new color
