I think it is a must have if you don't have any bright corals allready. I am going to be wearing it in the winter and fall too, not just in the summer even though it makes me feel "sunny". lol

Just like in my dream! I bet I would look like someone from a bad 90's teen tv-show. It wasn't shimmery or sparkly, just metallic and very weird. It's odd because it has been looking okay in pictures.
th_dunno.gif
It will haunt me.

I'm a little afraid of Toxic Tale. I mean - Grandma time!
th_crazy.gif
It's is looking so granny-coral-crazy-pink on crack in the tube. I have no idea how this will look on me. But since I got to B2M for it I thought what the hell, I'll get it and see how it goes. It has been looking nice on people so I hope I'm not the odd one here. I'm not afraid of bright/neon colours, but I just can't get that granny out of my head.
lol.gif

lol!

I definately don't think of grandmas when I look at Toxic Tale. I think of candy and beautiful tropical coral reefs.

I found Resort Life to be quite pretty. I don't think it looks as frosty when put on top of some lippie, it's not very opaque so it would blend in.

Beautiful look! It really is my fav product from this collection. Very mermaidy.
You have the same color of eyes as me, blue-green with yellow in the middle.

hahaha I laughed out loud when I read this because it's totally like me. Perhaps I need to back away from this thread, don't want any more unnecessary lemmings! Allready feel like I got so much and everything I wanted from this collection.

I have to day, I wasn't excited for this collection at the beginning, and now that it's here I think it's all gorgeous. Opposite for Fabulous Felines. I only bought Wicked Ways and Truth & Light from this collection, just because I already have so much, but I can appreciate that most of it is just gorgeous. One of the top collections all year IMO.

Resort Life is gorgeous over a nude color. I wore it over Stripdown liner and it was amazing. A nude lip with pink, purple, silver shimmer.

hmm, i was set on getting innocence, beware! from all the gorgeous swatch photos, but i generally can't pull off nude lipsticks because of my skin tone - it just looks odd! i was thinking ib could be a good choice because it seems like a pinkier nude, but now i'm wondering if it would work or wash me out?

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...e/DSC00554.jpg

that shows off my skin tone pretty well (no foundation/powder/blush, just eye makeup - it's pretty old, please excuse the wonky brows/glasses
lol.gif
), do you guys think i could wear ib or am i too pale to make it work?

I think it would be pretty on you. Any pink or peachy gloss would be gorgeous over it. I'm very pale & a nudist.

Maybe go to a MAC counter if you can & let them help you/try it on. IB has a slight warmer pink tone, so maybe (depending on your lip color) it will work better than some nudes. And, a soft liner may help

If I have one complaint about this collection, it's that almost everything is similar/identical to something else that MAC released previously. The most unique thing is the Disney packaging. That's why it was so easy for me to pass: the only things that I bought for myself were Heartless and Wrong Spell.

I agree, but I made out cause I passed on so many of these items in there previous form. I think alot of people did for whatever reason. This is a good line for MAC to bring new to make-up non-MAC, but Disney loving clients in with. Wouldn't want the line to be filled with uber unique and unwearable stuff.

I swatched DMD today. Still forgot to swatch Sinister. Maybe in a week or 2 I will check those out. I am doubting they will sell out.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Well I went back to MAC today to pick up a couple more things from this collection and wow I surprised myself. I originally went to pick up hot house and her own devices. First my store and counter were still stocked up on everything but 4 things the light MCP was sold out sweet revenge bad fairy and darkly my dear were gone they still had everything else. I tried HOD and it was an exact match to my skin tone and didn't show up so I didnt get it then the MA tried the darker MCP and it is very pretty but drum role...... I had an allergic reaction to it
ssad.gif
thank god it was only my hand. Finally I tried BR and I was very surprised it showed up on me(NC42) its a very subtle pretty color that I can use as a blush I really liked it. So in the end I got BR and HH. Good luck to all those who are still looking for what they want.

but, but...you need RL. It's gorgeous! Give it a try. In the center of the lips over a nude, you can't get any better.

i really hope it is wearable on me because i've fallen in love with it already based on others' swatches and videos! i've never really dabbled with lip liner, i wouldn't know where to begin... i have one clear lip pencil because i figure it's fine with everything

i think you could pull it off? cos its got a pinky tone it wont look so 'corpse' if you get what i'm saying

perhaps get them to put it on you at the store? but dont panic about having to buy innocence beware, you can get hue anytime, and its been said the two are quite similar colour wise, like they are in the same colour family, i find creme de nude washes me out with out a pinky gloss, but hue is perfect for me

also, a pinky blush can help, if you are feeling washed out?

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I was just looking at my jar of cooling powder and it's already looking low to me.
shockt.gif
Is it possible that this will be the first product that I ever finish? Crazy. I'm holding out hope that it'll be made perm at some point.

You know what, I'm surprised too at how much of this I use. Several swipes with my 187. More than I would use of a loose powder. I love that it's not hard to over-do. I was assuming that I would never make a dent in this, but I think I just might.

i know what you mean by corpse, that's exactly what i was worried about
lol.gif
thank you for the dupe recommendation - tbh i think i'd rather not have the cruella packaging so i might just try both ib and hue out at the counter on thursday and see which i prefer

Aw, you're welcome

Subculture may be a good start for a lip liner for your complexion. Its a subtle natural/nude dirty pink perfect for nudes & pinks

maybe it is evaporating! Just speculating but remember, I said they didn't want to take the seal off of the top for me to test because its mostly water. I'm sure Erine knows

or you are using a lot

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

So here are my thoughts on my haul so far!

Mean and green np; while I love how unique this is, I would love it even more if the colors were a bit more vibrant. I also have to use 3-4 coats. I'm going to try it over a cheap green np.

Sweet revenge lg; looks uber bright in the tube but gives a gorgeous everyday pinky colour. Absolutely something I could wear with anything!

Strange potion lg; I have never cared for coral. Ever. This is the first coraly colour I've ever wanted to try and I love it. It's light (I usually prefer dark lips) but. I love it.

Briar rose bp; way more pigmented than I thought. I think hhis is what I was hoping azalea blossom would like. Love it

Bite of an apple blush. When I swatted this it didnt look that bright. When I put it on this morning, I looked like clown and had to blend like mad. I'm not used to myself in these kinds of colors, but I like it!
