I know your pain. I have the same problem. Do you have warm skintones, by chance? I'm an NC 15/20 and nude lips always just seem really wrong or too pale. I like Fresh Brew/Call My Bluff, but only for certain looks. You might want to consider gloss instead of lipstick if they look funny on you.

So I had some weirdness with My Dark Magic. I applied it wet over Painterly base, then when I went to blend it, it came right off! With a blending brush! I had to reapply it with some Fyrinnae pixie epoxy to hold it in place (which gave it a cool marbled effect). Very strange.

Also, part of me is thinking that BoA is a good enough excuse to buy a 188 brush. I already have the 187 and angled blush brush. Someone please tell me that I don't need it.

with these MES, i really thing a shadestick works better than a PP. i think that since the PP dries down, it doesn't grab the powder as much and it ends up buffing right off. try a SS and see if that works better for ya.

as for needing the 188,

Welcome to all the new members! You are going to love it here. When all is lost, swatches are your friend! Luckally we have ladies here that take time out of thier lives to give us swatches and reviews. Helps a ton! There are very convincing enablers here too...watch out hehe lol

Damn everyones making me feel I should have got Toxic Tale and BoaA! But I'll just use that money for TT coll.

Plus a lot of things get repromoted, which I know a lot of peeps hate, but I like when they do it just in case you miss out on it the first time

but hopefully I'll get it sometime next week. I'm having a hard time with things lately so I really need something to perk me up right now. MAC nees to fix thier wesite pronto!

I spend so much money on MAC, esp when I'm having money probs and I'm still buying from them. Is it so much to ask for simple shipping info?

Just ordered Orly's Space Cadet (dupe for Mean & Green) and Galaxy Girl (dupe for Formidable) on Head2Toe website, since I've never seen Orly in Vancouver.

Hrm...the only shadestick I have is turquoise. I go have a few GPSs, but those crease on me. Thanks for the advice though.

Beware this is a very long post!

Well, I lied when I said I wasn't going to get anything from this collection.

I ended up hauling:

BoaA blush
SWD mes
MDM mes
RIS l/g
SP l/g

Violetta l/s, RIS l/g and BoaA blush were the only things I was going to haul but when I saw the e/s I knew I had to have them.

Yes, MDM looks like YP from SB but its so beautiful!!!

(BTW, what looks did you guys come up with this e/s?? There are so many pages on this thread - its going to take me days to get caught up!)

I'm shocked that Violetta l/s is sold out. People - it is sold out online as well as at all of the MAC locations in my neck of the woods!

I wasn't able to haul any goodies until today (Sat 10/2) and Violetta was gone. Gone, I tell you, gone!!!

This morning I called a local MAC counter and asked them to hold Violetta l/s for me (10/2) and they didn't (beyotches!!!). I should have known the mua was futzin' around because she didn't seem interested in what I was saying. (@##$%!!)

I ordered it online via the MAC site under the Mac + Fashion spread.

I know it won't be in the VV packaging but that's ok.

Hopefully it will be restocked w/VV and I'll pick up another one.

For real, I was surprised with this collection after seeing it in person.

It looks better in person because its such a HUGE collection and its really difficult to experience it via a small computer screen.

I'm happy with all of my purchases and can't wait to incorporate them into my bag of makeup tricks!

This is my last MAC haul for the year.

I'm not interested in any of the holiday sets or the after christmas ones either.

Like I said before, I'm waiting for new msfs!

I hope everyone is having fun with their new goodies! I know I am!

Violetta sold out on the first day at one MAC store I went to. Thankfully I an over to Macy's across the mall and it was there. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I LOVE it. Definitely my favorite lipstick.

Actually I have a 70$ voucher for Isetan so I'.m getting something else from VV as soon as the collection is launched also in the other counters!

And I agree Oh so fair is wonderful, very pigmented it will work with a lot of skintones!

After this I'll go in no buy fooor mooonths!!!
My husband just came back from a business trip from the States and brought me a Clarisonic.... I really think it's time to cut back from spending!

And others just washed me out completely!
So now I'm just going for my lips but better kind of shade when I want a natural look and I don't try to find the perfect nude anymore!

Hello, ladies!

Just got back from the trip. Glad that everyone seem to enjoy the collection.

I still haven't picked up my stuff at the store yet. Also, the order I made online on 28th still says pending.

I hope I can join the fun soon! Boy, I feel SO behind. I was out only for five days. The TT preview party already? Peacocky? My head is spinning!
