Well, its been compared quite a bit here with pics & swatches.

Some believe that it is close, I don't. Star Violet is more violet duochrome looking. Vainglorious is a more deepened burgundy brown. Skin color will make it vary.

Oddly I can't figure out what the heck color my eyes are. MAC people always say green and I don't think they are green at all. They arent quite hazel either. When I wear colors like Chill or green blues...or greens they look "bluish gray". I don't see really any green at all. When I wear coppers then they dont look blue so I am confoozled

I'm glad that I ordered De-Vil e/s since I have resisted in the beginning but then VPs cannot be resisted at all costs for me. I even tried resisting Her Alter Image e/s but that didn't work either. I sometimes wish that I owned the Spiced Chocolate Quad though since I'm still am on the hunt for it.

I thought your eyes were a hazel blueish color, but I would have to look again. Didn't the MA use De-vil on you? Maybe its just the lighting.

I have the spiced chocolate quad, but I still think this may be better. You're so cute/funny

Star Violet looked lighter and more violet compared to Vainglorious on my skintone too. In fact, swatched side by side, Cranberry looked more similar to Vainglorious than SV but Vainglorious was darker and deeper shade than Cranberry.

Hey yallz. Stopped by my Macys counter to swatch De-vil and Coppering and gaaaah I may need De-vil (for what reason idk).

De-vil has that super pretty sheen, aaahhh so sexy!

Thank God they were out of stock, but my favorite counter (Nordstroms) still has em. Must resist!

My counter was having an event all weekend to have your makeup done. They didn't do the photo thing on Sunday when I was there, but I didn't care. I needed a Lady Gaga look for a show which made my MA extremely happy. Needless to say, it grabbed a lot of passers by.

So of course I had to buy stuff (oh darn!), but they were out of She Who Dares MES (actual darn!). I picked up Her Own Devices since you ladies have been raving about it. I feel kind of badass wearing it today, but I think it may need a highlight. Jury's still out. I also picked up the Magenta l/l to go with my Violetta. I'll have to keep my ear to the ground for restocked SWD.

De-vil was deeper than coppering therefore making it a go for me. I didn't have coppering. I love that color family.

Still have to swatch sinister and toxic tale if my counter has it. maybe this week.


The cooling powders are still on the MAC site if anyone is interested.

I wore rave pearlglide eyeliner with my dark magic mes over the top

Really like this combination!! Inspired by the talk in TT thread about wearing pearlglide liners on the eyelid
