MAC Warm & Cozy Collection

I picked up my pre-order this morning along with Warm Me Up lipstick. Did anyone else notice that Warm Me Up and High Def (from HD collection back in September) lipsticks are identical? I have got both and when I got home, I swatched them side by side. You can also check out Karla Sugar's arm.
Please don't get me wrong, I really like the color and will definitely use both but wish that MAC wouldn't rename products. Then just call it High Def. End of rant!
Other than that, I tried Comfort MSF again but still think it's too orange. Too bad!

Just got back from Mac a few hours ago and I'm so excited. I bought Light That Fire! and 3N lipglass, Warm Me Up and Spiced Tea lipstick, Relaxed shadestick and Close for Comfort lip conditioner.

They all look great. I was gonna pass the shadesticks, but Relaxed seem to go on so smooth and creamy as opposed to the old ones. I want to go back from the Warm and Cozy shadestick.

I'm shocked at the lip conditioner because it actually has a pleasant scent. The Baby Blooms stuff made me want to vomit and for some reason I thought the these would have the same scent. It has a nice, warm and cozy (ha ha!) smell. Love it.

I also bought a new shadow palette (the large one) and shadows in Goldmine, Sushi Flower, Parfait Amour and Aquadisiac. Don't turn your nose up at me for not having these. I'm new to the eyeshadow party. I was a MUFE shadow girl.

I went to bloomingdales and I was shocked that they still have Strike A Pose shadow, Push the Edge and Brash and Bold pigments. Now knowing how to apply pigments, I snatched those up! They are great and I am so excited about Strike A Pose. I waited too long when it was at the Mac store originally.

So, I got a great big haul. The girl at Mac gave me a sample of the oils from W&C, but knowing how Mac foundations break me out, I will not be using this. It was a nice gesture on her part, though. That's the upside to always being in Mac/Bloomies.

I just can't get down with Siss. I'm not going to bother with any lipstick that needs gloss on top to keep me from looking dead. There are enough neutral lipglasses that I can skip a fussy lipstick.

Doesn't surprise me. MAC is always doing that, and it is really irritating.

I visited my Nordstrom this morning and picked up quite a few products from this collection--definitely one of my new favorite collections!

I was planning on getting Warm Me Up l/s but swatched it at the counter and I didn't like it. I ended up getting Siss and I must say, I'm very pleased.

I also got the Nurture shadestick and I haven't used it yet, but I've swatched it and it looks beautiful.

The e/s's are my favorite part! I purchased Milled Cider, Modelette, and Chamomile. I'm very excited to use these.

I didn't pay much attention to glosses, but the reviwes for 3n are looking awfully tempting. I might need to go pick that up too!

I'm fairly new to collecting mac so my lip collection isn't too big but I managed to pair it with boy bait creme sheen gloss and thought it produced a really nice color. I'll have to look into those other glosses!

Question ladies: do you put on a base underneath a shadestick? Something like Too Faced Shadow Insurance or do you just apply the shadestick?

I got mine from the Mac store in Short Hills Mall in New Jersey. I think they ship items out so you can call and find out for sure, if you like.

Depends on how shadesticks react on you. For me they crease easily, so I would put a base under it to help it stay better; but if you don't typically have problems with shadesticks creasing then you would be fine in just applying it. HTH!

I have no idea how well the shadestick will hold up on it's own. I'll wear it in the house and see how it goes. Thanks, ladies.

I have to use UDPP for everything except for MAC paints. So with UDPP I can get all daywear even with shadesticks.

I wish they would bring out a grey paintpot or shadestick that wasn't blue toned or taupe toned, that is all I can find in other brands. I just want a basic silver or dark grey.
If anyone has a suggestion feel free to tell me. .

My haul from Warm & Cozy today:

cuddle s/s - This is a beautiful pale yellowy gold color and very unique in color

nurture s/s - This was a coppery-pink color and the texture is not as fine as cuddle. I am returning this because it's nothing special for me, and I don't love the texture or color.

by candlelight msf - This is the star of the collection. Its a pretty champagne peachy/pink color with very finely milled shimmer. Love!

modelette e/s - This color is very meh for me. It was too orangey when applied, compared to swatches on my hand and the color in the pan. I never return and I'm taking this back too.

The other eye shadows were nothing special and there is very similar stuff in the permanent line. I would have gotten camomile e/s, but I already have blanc type and think they are similar.

The only items I got from this collection are 2N lipglass and By Candlelight MSF. I was thinking about getting the Warm Me Up lipstick, but I picked up a Viva Glam V lipstick instead.

I use f.y...eyes by Benefit under it!

Off topic: They have dc'ed the old f.y..eyes. But there will be an new improved one at the beginning of next year. The new one should be in a tube and should have a thinner consistency.

(Can you improve the old one?? It was perfect IMO!)
