ok, I never thought about putting my lips up to the pot - hmmm

Thanks, elegant! That's the look I had for halloween this year. Mufe shadows in yellow, dark brown and a cinnamon type color. I'm also wearing that Urban Decay Oil Slick lipstick. It's a sheer black with sparkle. I think I should've layered it more so it wouldn't look like my lips are just that dark. It looks a lot better in person.

and i hadn't thought of putting my lips to the jar either... knowing my luck i'd end up getting my teeth in it though! i'm so freaking clumbsy!

I just make a little kissy face and then rub my lips together. I feel like a dweeb, but it works.

Well I got my items today when I went to Nordies. I really like this collection & especially more now, since I have black hair!
winks.gif

By Candlelight MSF is awesome! I am a NC25 and it's a great highlight, perfect pinky champagne color.

2N l/g, a gorgeous shade! this gloss has always been my one of my fave nudes.

I was gonna get Relaxed s/s, but it just didn't do it for me. I think I would rather get Constructivist p/p.
I am going to go back tomorrow for Warm & Cozy s/s, just a gorgeous color!
I also liked Warm Me Up in the swatches, but on me...not so much.

xoxo

I can't wait to see your hair! My daughter in law just dyed her hair really dark - this is like the 4th time - now it kinda matches mine.

There is something about that color Warm & Cozy that I personally think enhances the eye color. Its beautiful smoked out right underneath another liner color.

I'll be watching for your post - if the site loads

How're you guys liking the Care Blends Oils? Let me share a story.

I got my gratis and included was the grapefruit Care Blends Oil. It smells pretty nice! I'm normally oily, but I've been absurdly dry this season so I thought what the hey I'll try it. I added a drop into my mix of Studio Sculpt and Dior Nude and applied like normal. It had a bit more slip which was nice and I guess it had a tad more luminosity to it. It felt very strange though, I do NOT like the feel of oil so it felt strange. It wore well enough, but nothing too special.

At the end of the night I took it all off and my skin was a MESS. SUPER big breakouts all over my cheeks and chin, with little tiny bumps all over that I haven't had for years. The next morning my skin was even worse. This was a week ago and my skin is having alot of trouble recovering, the big spots are gone but all along my cheeks and chin I have these tiny bumps and it's so scary. It's disgusting.

If your skin is sensitive at all I'd steer clear. It's not worth it to try it, I'm so upset.

I don't want that to happen to anyone else, and my skin isn't all that sensitive to begin with![/quote

I know exactly how you feel!!! This year I remembered when I went to MAC looking for a foundation and powder. The girl did my face using Studio Fix fluid and MSF natural.. next day I broke out in such a horrid way that I was super upset and angry. I waited a week, cause that what it took my face to recover and returned the stuff.. it took me several months to try a foundation from MAC. I did 3 weeks ago with the Studio Sculpt and I was sooo nervous.. so far my face is doing fine...

I do put my lips on lip balms that come in pots. I feel as though I'm eating out of the pot.

I'm just excited to see 2N because I am searching for a nude lipgloss. I hope I like it!

Argh! Specktra is so S L O W right now...ugh! It takes forever for these pages to load...is it just my computer or is this the case for everyone?

Anyway....

Just thought I would post my 2 cents on this collection. At first reading the descriptions I was kinda meh, but then the first swatches showed up and I was excited, but after getting my goodies and playing with them for a few days, I am kind of underwhelmed again.

First of all, whoever a few pages back said that Warm Me Up lipstick was a dupe for High Def was *exactly* spot on. I did a comparison this morning, when I look at the colors in the tube, High Def looked a tad more brown in the tube, but swatched on my NW20 skin, they were absolutely identical. Because I am a lipstick girl, I will often buy colors that are similar - maybe same color, but in different textures or different finishes or ever-so-slight variations in color. But these two are exactly the same. Also, almost all the swatches I have seen of Warm Me Up, appear more pink than the actual lippie. On me, it wears almost orange-ish, brownish with a touch of pink (maybe because my skin naturally has more pink in it, this looks more orange on me?) I dunno, but I am really disappointed in this color. I will definitely be passing this along to my mom or a friend.

I also picked up the 3 new eye shadows.
Mulled Cider - a medium warm brown. I don't think it is very unique - it has decent color pay-off, but it's not anywhere close to that of a Matte2. I would simply say that it is nice. Not super special, or anything to get excited about, but I can see myself getting some wear out of it. I have a conservative job, so it is a nice every day neutral for me.

Chamomile - is definitely a great inner corner and brow bone color. Really nice color pay-off and I think this will become my go-to highlight color since it is warmer than Mylar, which is just a bit too white sometimes for warmer looks.

Modelette - at first I was really disappointed with this color - - it seemed to hardly show up and I couldn't get it to swatch worth a darn on my hand, but instead of using it as a lid color or crease color, I used it today as a blending color between my crease color and high light color and it was fabulous!! It was the perfect, slightly-darker-and-warmer-than-my-skin-tone-color to blend everything together. I was getting ready to chuck it, but now I think I am in love. I'll have to try it again tomorrow with another color combo to see if I like it as well as I did today.

I got Feelin' Good TLC and I am hoping to get a back up before it is sold out - This is the perfect, perfect, perfect nude pink and feels so good on my Wisconsin winter chapped lips. I love the tint of color and it actually feels really fab on the lip. I will likely pick up Close For Comfort as well if it is anything like this one. This is honestly my favorite product from everything I picked up.

I picked up Cuddle and Warm & Cozy s/s. I am not really a shadestick girl (I prefer MAC Paints as a base), but Cuddle is really a pretty white-gold. I don't have Butternutty to compare it to, but I just love the duo-chrome effect of this color. I will have to play a bit more with it, but I think it'll bring out the gold in just about any color - especially something like Motif or Nanogold.

Warm & Cozy s/s makes my blue-ish eyes look ten times bluer than they are - I love it. I will be taking Elegant's suggestion and try smoking it out underneath another liner color. I am not surprised this was the first thing to sell out online. It is a really pretty rose gold. I can see this looking gorgeous on so many different colors of skin.

The last thing I got was By Candlelight. Please don't stone me, but I think I am slowly, but surely I am falling off the MSF wagon. I think Porcelain Pink is by far the better of the two - PP's texture is so much softer and without the dreaded grease-ball effect that I found By Candlelight gave me after a few hours.

I'm sure I can make it work with a lighter touch, but I really wish MAC would make some less shiny, lighter colored MSFs. Oh well. guess that is what NARS Albatross is for.

I haven't seen either this collection or Love Lace yet, I know I'm weird!
I'm going to the mall soon and will check them both out. I have a feeling I might leave empty handed

I pulled this from my blog- Wow the pics are large sorry about that!!

I picked up a few pcs form the Warm and Cozy collection that just came out. I was very drawn to this collection because I love and mainly only wear neutrals. I don't do bright colors on my eyes. I didnt recieve them all yet, I am still waiting on Feelin Good Tinted Lip Conditioner, 2N lipgloss and the grapefruit essential oil.

I did get the Shadesticks in Relaxed and Cuddle and the MSF in By Candlelight. Even though I swore I wouldn't get anymore shadesticks because I never use them. These really called out to me, I LOVE the color of Cuddle, it is almost like Vanilla Pigment in a stick form, a light pale white with a flash of gold. It is gorgeous as a highlight and inner corner. I am very pleased with Relaxed as well. It is a very easy brown to wear and creates a VERY quick sultry look. Also great for a smoky look or a clean simple liner.

Obviously, I am in love with the MSF. I was actually going to skip it because it looks sort of Similar to Porcelain Pink but I am glad I didn't. It is WAY smoother and way more pigmented. There is no glitter, just a sheen/ shimmer. I would describe this color as rose gold. It is BEAUTIFUL. I love it on my cheekbones.

quick swatching...
I did a quick look using these colors this morning, although on my blackberry you cant really see the colors...go figure. Anyway, it looked great and it was a really quick sultry eye JUST the shade sticks and a black eyeliner. I quickly lined around the ENTIRE eye with "Relaxed" and put "Cuddle" on inner tear duct and under brow bone. Black Liner and Black Mascara. By Candlelight on cheekbones and DONE!
