MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

I was a bad, bad girl. I went to the Mac party and bought tons. I'm still wondering if I should go to the makeover/class thing this weekend. The other Mac store called me to confirm when I was on my way to the party. BTW - they left out something from my bag so I promptly went online to order it. I was looking for a shipping code and found an old email. It said at the bottom that the collection was launching in NYC 1/31. Why just NYC? I'm so curious.

Then I went online to order. How is it that I never noticed they did face charts with this collection? I was so excited to see them. It has been so long. If I had seen them, I probably would have bought more as I loved the looks. Anyone recreate any of these looks yet?

hi all! sorry i couldn't keep up with you ladies. i've been really busy lately... i preorderd all the lipsticks, PMs,both blushes, mirror, and the lipglosses..i would have to go and pick them up on 7th.. i loved all your pictures, posts..they are all amzing..i was looking for more swatches and i came across this website that has both betty's and veronica's look..i though i'd share..excuse my english pleas( MY thrid language)

Thanks for the link! I love the looks! The Archie at the event was so handsome and all the male MUAs and servers had a Ronnie Red "kiss" on their cheeks. Very sweet. It's nice to have a touches valentines day, hearts, and a in love theme with MAC this year. Ronnie Red sold out at the event. That one is going to be the hardest to find. Caramel Sundae looked so pretty on the MUAs. Prom Princess too; it has a gorgeous sheen. I'm going to have to go back for a few more things.

The Archie at my event was cute with his fake freckles. A professional photog took my pic with him. My hubs will get a kick out of it because he loved the those comics--BTW, that's how I justified the enormous sum that I spent tonight.

Great, now im def getting it even tho I have pass tempt. I like how lavendar/pink prom princess lioks. Wondering if I should exchange unconventional for this. hmmm

I'm going Thursday morning but I will try to refrain from swatching and blending. I want. I usually don't buy pencils (waiting for my pro card in a few monta to go there) but I don't wanna miss the 2 colors and they're so cute. Besides I have plenty of blushes. Unconventional is gorg I would keep it but I'm just greedy lol

ok so final verdict on veronica's blush on woc (nc43)?
i'm kinda intrigued by the hype on the pearlmatte formula, but i was wondering (assuming i can only get two of the three), which of VB, PP or mall madness i should get? i love purple gloss, but there's a part of me that knows that i like it but don't wear gloss very often...and on the other hand is it OTT to get both VB and PP?
thoughts?

Wash and condition them? What's ur technique what do you use? I normally wash them in baby shampoo but I still feel like they're not clean enough and I just swirl them in the water then brush them on a towel

This is totally OCD, but I cannot, will not reuse a dirty brush. I wash them EVERY night (including LE brush set, brushes) in baby shampoo and several drops of baby oil. I wet the bristles and then dip the wet brush in the soap mixture. I rub the brush in my palm, several times clockwise, several times counter clockwise and then several times back & forth on my palm until they're completely clean. I then rinse them really well in tepid - cool water, gently squeeze the water from the brush with a paper towel and lay them flat to dry. I wash more than one brush at a time. Typically, I wash like-fiber & same-length brushes together, and have washed as many as five brushes at a time.
