Metal-X Discussion

ok, so the metal-x cream shadows are:

virgin silver- white w/ silver pearlized pigments
pure ore - metallic green gold
goldspice - metallic coppery gold
fusion gold - light pinky beige w/ gold pearlized pigments
pink ingot - mid-tone blue pink w/ gold pearlized pigments
metalblu - navy blue w/ silver pearlized pigments
cyber - metallic silver w/ silver pearlized pigments
6th sin - forest green w/ silver pearlized pigments
plum electric -deep purple w/ red pearlized pigments

these are a cream colour-rich full coverage shadow. they are made with waxes that are flexible so they adhere to the skin well. a little goes a long way, so they can be sheered down with a little amount, or piled on for maximum coverage and opacity. they are NOT crease-resistant.

and the glitter eye liners (gel based) are:

blitzed - yellow gold w/ multicolour glitter
wonderwhite - silver white w/ multicolour glitter
enbronze - deep brown w/ multicolour glitter
pewterpink - blue purple w/ multicolour glitter
lime dandy - mid-tone yellowgreen w/ multicolour glitter

the working names for these ironically were (in order from top):
glamour gold
spunsilver
oxidate
pinkphonic (new one is purpley blue tho, much darker than pinkphonic)
divine lime

so this gives you an idea of what the colors look like.

I have Pinkphonic, and it is hardly pink. It is actually a skyblue glitter, with subtle pink and silver thrown in as well.

I hope that the Metal-X Creams are opaque and thick enough to be used as bases!! I dislike how Pixel goes on, but want a shimmery metallic base!! D:

Great, there goes more of my money.

I think I'm going to need cyber, 6th sin, and plum electric cremes and blitzed, wonderwhite, and pewterpink glitter liners.

I imagine lime dandy will be similar enough to divine lime that I won't need it.

Sigh. Come on new job with bigger pay!

Me either. I wouldn't use it on my face and it's not crease resistant, so I'll pass. I am so happy I can save my money. Whoo hooo! Although, I am glad others are excited.

It may not be crease resistant on its own, but I wonder if it would avoid creasing if you put it on top of a light layer of paint, shadestick or paint pot?

I will be picking up a few anyway. I would love to try them and the colours sound pretty hot.

Good point, I bet you could use it over a UDPP. I don't see a highly metallic eye being anything I would want to do, but it could be really dramatic and nice for those more into metallic eye looks.

I personally cannot wait for these as I am obsessed with cream shadows right now, I wonder how it would compare to Laura Mercier's Metallic eyes one, that's my current HG.

Played with these at Update ... they are very, very pretty in person. Kind of crunchy in texture, my Trainer and the other MAs found them a little hard to work with. They dry down very fast, so you have to work quick.

Okay. Damn, now I want a few of these. Maybe the Royal Blue one there and the Green & Blue Glitter Liner (I love glitterliners)

I got to play with them at update. I'm diggin them . They have flexible waxes to allow them to move. They ARE NOT crease resistant. but they are thicker than ccb's so they wore pretty well.
