Well I got my back-up Fairylite and Frost pigments stahsed safely away, what news on others??

I also heard that Pink Vivid was Dcd and yet have purcahsed two more that I firmly beleive to be authentic from a pro card holder and they are different to the "old" Pink Vivid - by a lot, this is no oxidation issue, I think its a reformulation BUT I dont see it on the site anywhere? Is this going to be like a few other colours that havent been displayed (forest green, grey glitter) but have been available on asking??

I really dont know anymore

Some people and at least one sample seller that I know of are STILL buying Forest Green (jars not vials) through the #800 so they must be available I guess??
I have some pics here of the Pink Vivid - like I said it didnt come to me from MAC, but it DID come from a card holder and they are up to date in the newer boxes with the crimp in the top flap tab ~ 2007 boxes and on only have them, and NONE of the fakes, even the new ones I have seen have these so I can only believe that they are authentic and I see no reason why this person would switch a single colour out when everything else they get comes from mac.... I'll post some pics soon

But there is no news of reformulation on the site or anywhere else for that matter and I have an original Pink Vivid in my possession, they are not nearly the same.

D'oh! Panda, you asked me about this a bit ago and I totally spaced on it. Sorry!

The one on the left is Pink Vivid and the one on the right looks exactly like Cool Pink. I have both of those MAC pigments.

These are BOTH labelled Pink Vivid

I have Cool Pink - its not the same as the one on the right - different colours, will post some pics

The right Pink Vivid was purchased here in AU from the Pro store as well so I know its authentic. I compared it with a different sample I got from a friend who also got her Pink Vivid (2003) batch from the Melbourne Pro Store as well and they were pretty much the same. So which is which?? The right was purchased direct from macpro, the left came from a card holder with all tags and checks in place??

EDIT - just wanted to add that I checked them just now against the specktra swatch file in the precautions listings and my Cool Pink and the right Pink Vivid (AA6) look exactly like the ones there. This is why I was wondering if when MAC presumably Dcd pink Vivid was it actually a reformulation? the A48 Pink Vivd is different to ALL Pink Vivid swatches I have seen and actually has a better texture as well ~ its just like the Neon pigments in that regard. heres a pic of all 3

^^Thanks erine! I am happy that those will be staying at the pro store but isn't MAC's clear lipglass a popular product? That is like a staple in any MAC addicts bag. Maybe I am the only one that feels that way but I seriously go through many of those bad boys a year! I must turn away from this thread now. It is making me much too sad!

I kind of figured that the 205 was going away since I didn't see it on the website for awhile...

Vellum is one that I need to check out, since one of the girls at the MAC counter swears by it as her highlight colour of choice, so I gotta get myself the pro pan while I readily am able to!
