Quo brushes

Quo is pretty good. All brushes are from $12 - $16 CDN so it's not too bad. Like what Kim. said...you get what you pay for. I have 4 eye brushes from them. I checked with the cosmetician for the hairs prior to buying. most of goat, pony, squirrel. Only two or three were synthetic mixed with natural out of their entire brush line.

They aren't that bad compared to the MAC brushes or Smashbox ones but again those are really really good (but also really really expensive)...but if you abuse brushes and like me and ur still a noobie but you want better quality ones, Quo is definitely good enough. Application wise, not enough to make a difference.

"The Face Shop" a Korean company that's made it's way across Canada, has some decent brushes. i own two (cuz they had a sale), and they are also natural brushes (both i have are squirrel). Their brushes are made in Korean..which makes me wonder if Quo is made from the same place...cuz Quo brushes are also made in Korea..and they do sorta feel & look the same.....hmmmmmm?

I've got the medium-sized e/s brush and it's pretty nice. Very soft, no real loss of bristles from washing. It holds product well, but I like something a little firmer for blending. The blush brush is great, I use it every day. My only complaint is that it DOES lose hairs, and always has, but I don't think it's affected the performance of the brush, it's just annoying more than anything. It's not as soft as the e/s brushes, but I don't really care - the application results are great. I have to say though, if you're gonna buy drugstore brushes, you're better off with NYX - they are FAB!! And cheaper than Quo, too.

I live very close to Canada and I went to Shopper's Drug Mart (SDM), but I did not see the Quo brush I wanted. I end up getting a Cover FX brush, which is sold @ Nordstrom's in America. I was also pleased that name brand make-up collections are sold @ SDM i.e. Lancome and Smashbox.

I will be going back there to see if the Quo brush I want is in stock.

QUO brushes are awesome to use!! major rave for the blush brush, it's unbelievably soft, i use it for bronzers though because it's a bit too big to fit my cheeks. i also have the liner/brow one and its great for liner gels.

actually, the majority of Quo brushes are made of natural hair (mainly goat hair. but like ms_angry_nipple said, some are pony or squirrel hair). & like all foundation brushes, the Quo one is synthetic (takelon). aside from that i think the only other synthetic brushes they carry are the concealer, cream eyeshadow, & cream blush. personally, i love Quo brushes & i think they are a great value. i know quite a few makeup artists who swear by them. however, if you're interested in a duo fibre brush, skip the Quo one & definitely splurge on the 187. Quo's duo fibre brush sheds like crazy!

I find these brushes are either really good, or not usuable...
The great ones are the reason I keep trying them out!

So far, I don't like the Bronzer because it still sheds after a year, and it's too big to really do anything but powder with.
The foundation brush leaves streak marks all over face.
The angled one could be a bit finer for a more precise eyeliner, but it's ok.

I really love the blush brush, it's so soft, and perfect for my face shape.
The lip brush too is amazing, it has a wider flat head which makes applying lipstick to full lips incredibly easy.
I love the crease brush to get a soft graduation between shades, but it may be too wide for some eye shapes (I have 'too much crease' hooding).
The medium eyeshadow brush is fine but nothing special, I could get the same from any drugstore brand for a few bucks, but it is sturdier.
The concealer brush is the same thinness as the average lip brush, it's pretty good for doing eyeliner or concealer, I gave mine away to my sister though, because I prefer the thin, fine head of art brushes for my eyeliner

pretty cheap for good quality! I got a 4 set of blush, angled, eyeshadow and lip brushes for $27.00 on sale, and optimum points on top

I love Quo brushes!!! I have two eyeshadow ones & i like them better then my MAC ones! I just got the bronzer brush (187 dupe) but mine is shedding like crazy from the first time i even used it! What should i do? I'm thinking of emailing Quo. I'm scared to wash it!!! But great brushes overall...i need to get some new ones actually! Annabelle has really good brushes as well. I have a few of the eyeshadow ones.....my all-time fave brush is the flat, wide looking brush....i bought 2!

I have the foundation brush which I love. I also own the eyeshadow brush and it's pretty nice as well and hasn't shed at all. I bought the bronzer brush and at first it shed maybe 25 hairs or so. After the second wash, it hasn't shed at all and I really like it.

Yup mine shed as well! I wonder how it compares to the MAC 187?

I bought the bronzing brush from Quo a couple weeks ago and have been using it to apply my foundation pretty much everyday since I've bought it. Before that, I was using my 187 SE that I got for Christmas in the brush set. After using both for a period of time, I'd have to say I favour my MAC one. I really didn't like how the Quo brush shed like mad and even though it was soft, the 187 was softer. And considering my 187 was the mass produced SE, I can only imagine that the hand crafted 187 full sized would be better. I also found the Quo brush to be a bit too big.

I do plan on checking out the other brushes tomorrow though. I was at SDM tonight buying some pop and was drawn to the make up section (as usual). I didn't have enough time to thoroughly check it out, and there wasn't a MUA on shift considering it was about 11 at night. But yeah, tomorrow I'll hopefully have new brushes to play with!

QUO brushes are on sale this week!

Picked up:
-All over shadow brush
-Cream eyeshadow brush
-Ultra fine eyeliner brush
-Eye smudge brush
-Cream blush brush

Played around with the 187 dupe brush but it wasnt as thick as my 187. I guess it makes an ideal back up brush for the price? On sale for $18 or $16 I forgot but still cheap compared to the 187

QUO make up brush cleaner for $8!!!! BOUGHT TWO

Good to know...Quo brushes are really good...wish they had a kabuki as part of their permanent line though.

Nice to see a fellow Specktranette in my city ;-)

I have so many Quo Brushes. I think I pick up more each time I'm in Shoppers. My absolute favourite is the angeled liner/brow brush. I think I have 5 or 6 of them. They're fantastic. I also really love the blending brush, and some of the crease defining brushes. I'm really satisfied with this line.

The crease brushes were nice but I had $75 to blow with points so I wanted something I didnt already have but next sale I'm gonna pick those up for sure.

For the record; I am absolutely in love with the cream blush brush and the ultra fine eyeliner brush, it puts my 212 and 266 to shame

Very impressed for my first QUO purchase

I purchased the Quo kabuki after several other Quo brushes. It was awful!! I got sucked into it because it had a cute little case and seemed pretty decent. It splayed like hell, shed, scratchy and did an overall crap job. I think it was part of a limited edition collection or something...

but the majority of my Quo brushes are awesome... I have quite a few...

anyone else purchase the kabuki??

I loved the skunk brush (I use it for foundation sometimes) but I hated the 'crease blender brush'... it was more of a pencil brush to me.
