... my first response was a little crude.

I will just leave it at. I wish I could punch him in the face..

I seriously thought that you were saying he was selling fur coats for dogs to wear!
rofl.gif
I was all fired up!
Either way, that is horrible and not surprising. I think fur is disgusting

I'm glad they are exposing this. His company makes enough that they should be able to ensure the quality of their prodcuts. Quality meaning not made out of poor little dogs! I would be devasted if I bought what I thought was a faux fur coat and it turned out to be real

This kind of behavior is typical for companys most of them do not check the quality or orgin of their fake/real fur they could really care less its just makeing the most profit margin.

I dont wear fake fur or real fur due to the fact that i think wearing fake fur still supports the theroy that wearing animals skin is acceptable.

^ watch that to learn were your fur comes from.

I think fur is a legitimate apparel. If you live somewhere really cold and you use the fur of an animal that you've killed to eat. I think breeding animals to kill them for their fur is atrocious.

Ok so the dog fur was random and odd when I read this earlier today. But I'll wear fur, and I'll eat meat.

Dog fur doesn't seem to be too nice though, I hate dogs as it is and I wouldn't want to wear their smelly fur.

Wow. I don't wear fur and I don't know if I ever will but I certainly would not have wanted to find this out. That type of dog already sounds creepy and dog hair on me...that's just gross.

It doesn't matter if the dog is creepy.
Id rather have dog hair on me than cat hair.
Id rather have dog hair on my than ANY kind of hair.

I guess you just have to have an appreciation of ALL animals.

edit again

Id also like to add that I am certainly NO peta Activist. so don't point fingers. I have a huge love for animals , (working at a shelter and all) and I guess you just don't understand until you witness abuse first hand. thats all.

I'm saying dog hair belongs on dogs, not on me. I don't think we all have to give a speech like PETA to feel bad that these dogs are killed. I didn't know I HAD to give a detailed message.

I have a lump in my throat after watching only a few seconds of that video...unbelievable...the cruelty is beyond atrocious...I'm totally speechless and my gut aches. Shame on those who think these acts of unnecessary abuse are acceptable. If you're gonna eat the animal, well fine then; but breeding them and then stripping them of their fur for vanity and luxury's sake...that's uncalled for. Please y'all, don't be hating on me...this is JUST my opinion, as you all have yours. And it doesn't help that I'm an animal lover, a dog and cat groomer and a volunteer at my local humane society. Walk in my shoes for a day and you will see why I feel so strongly about this subject. Ok, I've said my peace.

Personally, I think wearing fur is ridiculous unless you are a people who hunts it, eats it and wears it due to extremely cold climates-think those indiginous to the most northern of countries. Other than that instance, I think wearing fur is most often a product of narcissism, insecurity and pretentiousness. Like a way to advertise that you can afford that ghastly garment. Who cares. You look like you are obviously trying too hard, IMO. Make a sandwich board and wear that. At least it won't unnecessarily kill an animal to assuage your ego.

I do realize that in some colder climates the culture towards fur is different. A lot of people see it as a solution to a problem (very cold weather) instead of a gaudy attempt at displaying "wealth". Still, I think there are plenty of other alternatives available to keep one warm now.

Someone in my extended family has a closet full of furs. Short, full-length, this fur, that fur. It nauseates me. She tried to give me one as a gift once. I appreciate the gesture of gift giving, but oh God no. I kindly declined. If she had brought that coat over to my house and left it, I would have went outside, dug a hole and given it the proper burial it deserved. I would not have even felt a twinge of compunction about shoveling dirt onto a $15,000 coat.

Nope, not a member of PETA. Just love animals and hate furs.

I'm don't have strong feelings about whether or not it is "right" to wear fur, but I do agree with the above post that it looks gaudy and outdated and like an obvious attempt to display wealth. I feel the same way about fake fur. I've never had anything nice to say about Mr. Diddy, so this whole mini-scandal doesn't surprise me at all. I think it's a great example of what a dweeb he really is. Dog hair.. gah.

it's the means of how the fur is acquired. mostly the animals are treated like shit, have lived life inside a cage, barely fed, and are then electrocuted in their ass to "preserve" the fur.
many people don't understand why it's so cruel, because the process has not been explained. just like with animal testing, consumers arent aware of how cruel it is.

See I have no strong opinions on fur either. I didn't watch the video only because I'm not a fan of Peta. We have many issues with each other-Peta and I. LOL But from my belief I've always veiwed all animals like my brothers/sisters. Nobody knows what it's like to see something abused and the pain (well except mac attack and shimmer and those who have worked in shelters etc) you feel for something.

I remember one day I went back in the woods and saw this poor cat, he had a broken hip, couldn't breath and he was near death. So I took him in nursed him got the vet to take care of him, vet said he was lucky to be alive. Two ladies come up say the cat is theirs. I looked them square and the eye and told them to get off my property. If they didn't care enough about him then damnit they weren't going to get him back.

Anyway-the cats mine now. LOL His name is Smokey he only has one functioning eye.

ANYWAY back to the matter at hand- yes I've never been a peta fan but I do not like the treatment of animals that humans inflict on them.

It's always upset me if you have a very friendly animal, like a dog or a cat, or anything and they want to try to be nice and then some jerk kills it or hurts it just for the hell of it... *sigh*

same here... Its amazing the conditions an animal comes into a shelter.. and sometimes the reasons for it make me red in the face.

Ok seriously calm down! I personally wear fur, tough shit I don't care I like it. I don't do it because I'm narcissistic or I'm insecure haha that's way off. If I see something I like I buy it, whether it's real fur or fuax fur or no fur at all.

If you don't like fur then don't buy it, but don't think you're above people who do buy fur. Don't insult people who buy fur, that's no helping your cause. I can't stand animal rights activists because they never seem to want to make people understand their side they just push their views and insult you for what you do.

I am calm. In no way did my post reflect any angry emotion. Do as you please. You like fur, you wear it. I don't like fur, I don't wear it. It is as simple as that. The "tough shit" wasn't necessary. Let's keep it civil, OK?

As I stated, it's my opinion. I don't think of it as a cause. I am not an animal activist. It is my opinion. I didn't say I was above anyone or that any one is below me for wearing fur. I said that it often appears a product of narcissim, insecurity and pretentiousness. That does not speak to the person as a whole. Those are charecteristics of a person. It is their choice. IMO a bad one, but their choice none the less.

For the record, I hate people shoving their "causes" down my throat. So I don't inflict that on others.
