text messaging is annoying.

I absolutely hate talking on the phone (with the exception of answering calls at work). I don't know why either. I never call anyone, i don't even answer my phone all the time.

They definately have their time and place, I do not have a cell that works here. Mine is a pay as you go, that only works in major cities I use it for vacations. I never used the texting feature until one night, I was out with a friend and we were suppose to meet up with other people at this big club, and it was LOUD, so my friend grabbed my phone and texted her friend (she didn't ahve a cell) "Where R U Guys?" and her friend texted back where they were... a phonecall never would have worked. But I am usually a phonecall work. Meeting a friend, somewhere, and its NOT too loud to talk, I call and "Where are you?" and I can see them on their cell "I see you!" and we hang up and walk to each other. texting just doesn't help me then.

Plus I don't have a keyboard and I'd be too slow. But I will also now text to say "Hey can you call me or text me when your free, or I'll be on MSN ... let's catch up?" to friends when I'm in their city and not sure if they're still at work or in class.

Okay this is making me really want to vacation, I've resisted getting a cell phone that works here... I feel it unnecessary in such a small town. (But I secretly want one...but I want my MAC purchases more than I want a phone... hehe)
