OT But I never understood why she was picked for that show. Rachel Campos, who was on The Real World, is an infinitely smarter and more respectable Republican woman.

Then again, maybe that's why.

I was close to tears! My mother was bawling. This is truly a historic event. I am proud that I was to be part of it. I wish my grandparents were alive to witness this. I am too excited!

I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight! I live in NYC and people are celebrating in the streets and yelling out of windows.

i like whoopie. she's level headed and well spoken, but really, how can you dislike the woman that played God in "A Very Merry Muppet Christmas". But yes, the rest... they're a bag of nuts.

Tomorrow is a very exciting day for me, my four year anniversary. I was very much afraid that if Obama lost it would spoil the entire thing. I can now enjoy the wonderful suprise my boy has planned! YAAYY.

Even though i'm not an American i've been glued to my TV for 6 hours watching the live US coverage. I must say I am overjoyed that Obama has won and I truely hope this is the start of something good for all you Americans!

I don't doubt that at all. I don't think anyone on that show is interested in having a Republican who can actually present an unemotional, rational argument. It's much easier to demonize Republicans when you pick a crazy one to spew nonsense. Even Sherry, who leans right, isn't a particularly coherent personality.

I am so happy I can not describe it! The joy I feel is the same joy I felt when I gave birth to my 2 children! I see a future and change is to come. I have just logged into my work computer and sent an email to my boss and supervisor that I will be taking January 19th, 20th and 21st off to attend the historic inauguration of OUR Presidential Elect, BARACK OBAMA!!!!

I'm so overwhelmed... just so many emotions. I pray for his safely, there are still people in this country who wish him harm and I pray that nothing will happen to him. It's such a beautiful, wonderful thing that we have our first Black president, but there are still people in this country who cannot and maybe will not ever be accepting of that.

In any case though my eyes are so puffy from crying... I just can't believe this is really happening. It's like a dream. But I know it's so so real. I just feel this radiation of love and happiness and JOY all through my body. The tears are still flowing. I truly know that anything is possible now...

I honestly believe that something is wrong with Sherri, mentally. I don't think she leans in any direction because she doesn't know her left from her right. I really don't like Elizabeth, but at least she knows what she's talking about most of the time. At least she has solid opinions and knows that the Earth isn't flat.

I personally don't care for Sherri....Clueless... and I think Elizabeth should have stuck to Survivor type shows...OH but wait she didn't do well there either.

My friend is an idiot...he's like I don't feel any different...I'm like wtf?!? Not only did someone from our state FINALLY make it in the white house, someone of our color made it as the PRESIDENT. Wow...Like right now feels so indescribable...seeing that number hit 307 at 11...it's like we finally made it.
