Meg's post had me rolling.......she should really either write comedy, or be a stand-up comedian..........and isn't it great that she always seems to make us laugh at just the moment we need it?

I lost some quotes!! Argh! Ok...here goes, lol:

Cheryl - OMG! The hair trauma! I would have been so upset! I'm glad you're liking it a bit more now, but grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr @ him anyway for not listening!

HG - So...I was on 3 lists for Boy, and I missed it somehow all 3 times, lol. My Chanel order was denied after ordering (but it still shows as available on the site!?!). Hopefully I'll be able to try it before the second release, but if not at least I know I'll get my hands on it then. Sorry I couldn't find an extra!

Welcome Jenn! So mice to see you here!!

Joyeuse is so beautiful! How does it compare to Magnolia - I guess Magnolia is warmer?

Winthrop.. I think Magnolia is a bit more warm since it has the tiny gold in it.. Joyeuse looks neutral.. dunno for sure, maybe Ms. Elegant can enlighten us!

Not elegant here but I can share. I'm bad at describing colours but I would say you are right, magnolia is softer but warmer. It has tiny gold shimmers. Joyeuse is neutral pink. I put this pic up earlier but I don't know which page it is at so here it is again.

Magnolia, Joyeuse, Charme.

I just did a quick swatch in indoor lighting.

Magnolia, Joyeuse

Happy Valentine's, ladies!

Winthrop - missqq is right. Everything else is more peach or rose or fuchsia toned pink. Imagination ls is in that range but more slight fuchsia tone than Joyeuse. I don't think Chanel has anything this color. It looks so perfect on the lips.

I cannot thank anyone today as my thumb is not working - so Thank you guys for being such a strength & support!

There are several Joyeuse-s (? lol) on Ebay but it'll cost you $45-50 with shipping. That's probably not unreasonable considering that it probably costs more than the $32 we pay here to start with -- is that right Miss QQ?

Thats about what I paid. I happened to find one the day I got mine for $32 & 4.95 shipping! That person now has it for I think $39!!!!

I am having pink lipstick envy -- MissQQ and Elegant -- you are so lucky to have Joyeuse! Gorg!

Meg -- I had to go look up that post just to see what everyone was LOLing about! Too funny. How do you come up with this stuff?!? love it

I didn't order Boy from Chanel -- kinda wish I did. But I can't wait to see the whole Coco Shine line -- there are a few that I have my eye on!

HG -- what delicious samples are you trying out??

So I know I asked for everyone's fave eye creams. The question for the day -- favorite eye primers?? MAC paint pot isn't working for me. My inner corner waters all of the time and it makes my liner get all smudgy. I need something new!!

My girls wanted to surprise their Dad with a big surprise dinner for Valentine's. They planned out the menu and we are making it together. My hubs keeps asking me where I want to go and I've been putting him off (he is probably wondering what is wrong with me!). Hope you all have a fun day tomorrow

^^ Oh, Michelle, that sounds awesome! I hope you all have a wonderful time!!!

I too have been experimenting with different primers - I hadn't been wild about any of them until I tried Lorac's Behind the Scenes. It is working quite well for me. What I've tried:

  • Stila Kitten - this will work for me in a pinch, but I don't love it
  • UDPP - this tends to get 'scaly' on me - I don't have the best luck with it, though I used to use it more than anything else
  • Benefit cream shadow/liner - these I like, but more if I want a 'color' as a base. They're also almost all shimmery, so they're not always ideal
  • TFSI - I have the same issues with this that I have with UDPP
  • MAC Paints - I can use these, but more in the summer I think, when my lids aren't so dry. My fave is Untitled, but I don't know if that one is available anymore

I have not tried NARS yet - I've noticed in some FOTDs that people use that, and I believe HG uses it too - I'll have to check it out, but won't shell out the dough for it until I run out of the Lorac BTS, or if it stops working.

HTH!!!

It really is THE perfect pink lipstick!

on the eye creams - any one try Kate Somerville??? I'm going to read some reviews to see.

I use just little of BE Multitasking bisque. I don't really like to use anything else because it changes the es colors.

That is SO adorable that the girls are planning Val. dinner - couldn't have a better plan.

FYI, I'm able to add Boy to my shopping bag on chanel.com. I don't plan to buy anymore, but those of you wondering......

I've got a serious lemming for Joyeuse and Rose Tourbillon blush......but I just cannot bring myself to get them from evil bay........must talk myself out of it.........

Elegant_one, sorry to hear about the scare with your dad, I hope you are ok and your dad is feeling better. Happy belated birthday Cheryl :cheer::birthday: Sorry to hear about your hair colour, that sucks. As long as he knows you were not happy, all is good. When I went to pick up Espiegle I had a look at the Soulful Eyes collection. MissQQ, the quad looks great, but I did not dare to swatch it (seems too close to Celestes Bleues), but I picked up Fauve. This one looks like a purple taupe on me, a lighter Taupe Grisé. Cannot wait to try it. Hope you are all good and had a great weekend.

A lighter Taupe Grise?!?! Oh that sounds so perfect! I need to get my hands on that at some point, for sure!

stv.. do try NARS primer.. so far it is working well for me. I have the same exact problem, plus I run around so much and I am sadly menopausal... lol.. and that makes any mu run off the face. I also alternate with CL primer.. Instant Light.. it is less drying, and helps ES stay on really well even in harsh climate or humidity.

Meggy.. I have the same problem with UDPP.. I think there is an age limit on udpp, and it is 21.. legal drinking.. lol.

seriously tho.. it does get crumbly on me too and if I get it in my crease, it will glop up and the finish is horrific and hh.as to be redone. ug
