I agree. Check it out in person because you may be disappointed. The bronzers are gorgeous though and so is Mimosa polish. The bronzers are sooooo soft and smooth. They blend beautifully. I also loved the liner, but you can dupe it with Physician's Formula's stackable liners. I still think it's a good purchase though, especially since it's waterproof. The overall look of the launch is underwhelming because the shades aren't unique. You may be standing at the counter looking for something more. But, it's great for your wallet

This collection has started to lose its appeal to me and I haven't even seen it yet :/ I might just get the pink nail polish (Morning Glory?). Nars' summer collection looks much more interesting to me...

Though I will still go and see this one when it launches, u never know what happens when I see products in person

Well, Karla's swatches just did me in. I ended up ordering the other bronzer too, the Bronze Rose swatch just looked soooo gorgeous. So now both Coral and Rose are headed my way. If I end up returning Bronze Corail to the Chanel website, are they pretty efficient about processing online returns? (I know, I know, this is the Chanel website we're talking about, after all. Shouldn't expect much.) :haha:

I got both bronzers, the quad, the duo, the liner (x2) and 2 of the glossimers.....

. As Katred once said, my bank account is in the fetal position sucking its thumb.......what doesn't help is the 2 Guerlain lipsticks (the new Automatiques) that jumped into the bag with the Chanel.......

Aurore looks stunning on karla's arm. I'm still trying to convince myself I only need one bronzer and it will be bronze rose.

I really hope you love both.

Returns - I have only returned 1 item & it was pretty quick.

The coral shade just by itself is Soooo pretty ;)

Just make sure they refund your credit card if you do a return. One time it took them months to get my account credited -- but they finally did. So just watch it and make sure you keep your order # and information in case you have to call them. Getting customer service to help can be a challenge, but hopefully your return will be a smooth one

Great! So help us settle the mystery...how would you describe the color of the liner?
I would describe the liner as a straight-up taupe with a teensy-eensy bit of a rosy hue - no violet at all - it's not a blue-based rose - more of a cool yellow based rose that you can just barely see. To the 'layman's' eye, it would be just taupe.

Here are some swatches - they didn't come out great - today's lighting isn't all that wonderful......the yellow in the duo is sort of barely-there, but as you move you see the sheen - it's quite pretty and I think I can honestly say I don't have anything like it - which is REALLY saying something!! The green is wildly pigmented, smooth as butta, and not too golden. To me it's a perfect khaki or camoflage green.

Rose Platine is right underneath it, and no matter how many shots I take, I just can't capture it. I've got a dippy camera, so that's probably why.......

Can I ask why you choose the Aurore? I'm gonna order online and I think I want Pesee, but now I'm not so sure

It's got more gold in it. Pensee looks coral... but swatches more of a flat pink on me. I didn't like it. The two women who exchaged their Pensee glosses were very very pale, and they weren't crazy about the color change from tube to skin either. Aurore has a lot more dimension and it's definitely got more of a golden hue.

On my skin (like you can see in my own pics) that grey in the quad looks like it does on Ingenue's skin:

On Miami Peach...yes, it does have a more watery/gel-like/different texture than most Chanel polishes. Sabrina mentioned that too when she reviewed the new one, so don't think there's anything wrong with it.
Whoo hoo, a shout out!

The grey is more of a taupey-lavender on me. I love the way it translated to my skin. I've now fallen head over heels with the quad. Love it. I took both of the bronzers back, along with the Mimosa polish. I have too many bronzers/blushes like them that actually have a better color payout for me. But I got a backup of that Rose Plantine pencil. It's just STUNNING. I love what it does for my eyes.

Thanks for the duo pics Cheryl. You have or had Khaki-Clair too, didn't you? Do you prefer this one? I'm not in love with Khaki-Clair because the white was too stark on me.

Sabrina swatched the glossimers:

And the bronzers for anyone who missed them:

Hi Winthrop - great question - I'll go dig out my K/C - I love that one too. This one is defnitely more green, and the lighter color is a definite yellow/green without being too over-the-top. I'll get a pic of them side-by-side tomorrow. Thanks for providing these links!! You're like our own personal makeup Google!!

I agree with Ingenue - the Rose Platine rocks!!

Elegant, that color is gorgeous!
