Chanel Fall 2011

seriousely girls! I've never been this is love with a makeup collection. It made me come outta hiding and actually post on Specktra again, lol I've gotta start saving like.... ummm yesterday!

lol! the shadows and polishes in particular look amazing!!

I have no desire for the metallic es -- I will stick to the quad and a velvet ls.. that's it.. I still need to tile my bathrooms

The shadows remind me of the GA ETKI line (which I love).
I feel like I should just start signing my checks over to Chanel starting in June. My local Nordies will get pieces of the Byzantine collection in and the Fall and Holiday collections are both right up my alley.
Oh well, there goes the kids' inheritance. LOL

Stupid me!! I thought I was going to get away without wanting much from this collection. I think I want every single piece!!! Oh crap. And it turns out my beloved Chanel SA in the US who sends me all my stuff is looking for another job. Her co-workers are a bunch of beeatches being evil to her to push her out. I don't know what I'll do :-( Neiman Marcus duty rates just went through the roof this week and they have no explanation for me?

I guess this kills my master plan of sking you how you manage to get the awesome US products up here. I have to say that I was deeply annoyed by NM this week, which finally ended up with me canning an order with them, at least for the time being. I didn't notice the duty rates, but they were already enough to make me spit fire, so I don't imagine they've gotten any better (hurrah free trade).

Of this collection, however, I have to say that... I can't even say what I'm thinking, because I'm too damn busy drooling...

So far, what looks appealing:

The quad
Both RCs
All three n/p
The Joues Contrastes (especially since I've never bought a Chanel blush)

And that's the voice of me being nice and responsible and waiting to see if I really want any of those new shadows...

I'm lusting after this collection as well after spying a sneak peak on cafemakeup's website. I really want the quad, eye pencil, graphite nail polish, and lip glosses! Geeze!

I guess this kills my master plan of sking you how you manage to get the awesome US products up here. I have to say that I was deeply annoyed by NM this week, which finally ended up with me canning an order with them, at least for the time being. I order VERY regularly from Neiman Marcus and all of a sudden in the last couple weeks the duty has gone up almost 10%. I don't know what the hell is going on but it's really freaking me out. Without NM online I have no way to get anything. I order all my Le Metier de Beaute, Giorgio Armani, Edward Bess etc from there. I have no other way to get it. I can get some Guerlain and Dior an hour away and I never make it there. I was getting all my Chanel from NM before finding my Macy's SA too. I really hope the rates go down because I will be seriously devastated if they stay this way. I may as well shut down my blog too if that's the case :-(

I'm on the bandwagon for Rose Ecrin, the quad, and the liners....oh, and the lipsticks.....and the cream shadows...and the glossimers.......holy cow, what tuition payment?

And I can't forget about the red and gold JCs, the Byzantine quad, and THOSE lips........eek.

I guess that makes me a flapjack too, HG!!

Christa -- that stinks that the duty fees are rising. Like it's not expensive enough . . .

Cheryl -- I feel your pain! In the fall all of my kids start their activities and I feel like we pay a fortune in fees, costumes, sports shoes, etc . . . it really cuts into my makeup budget I can't imagine when we get to the stage of college tuition . . .

How infuriating! I can't imagine why that would be, since there's been no change in official duty rates and shipping costs haven't increased. Whenever something like that happens, I'm always tempted to contact the company whose products I'm actually trying to buy, just to point out that they're missing a surprising chunk of business by not having their products available directly for sale up here.

Yep. They will allegedly have the same consistency and staying power... here's hoping. I think that Chanel is going a slightly different route with the colors... I've noticed that the ETK's can loose identity from color to color. Some of them ALMOST swatch about the same.

I want some matte ETK's.. not so much shimmer. They're lovely, but a 'lower shine' finish on some of them would be nice.

Nora - everything looks pretty and I can't buy all I want too. Luckily I think some of the items are perm since spring and fall collections usually have perm items. I agree the blush looks like a must have.

Something like the ETK but a bit more matte would be lovely! I'm honestly not a cream shadow fan at all- I find they always look smudgy and dirty- but I'm very curious to see what Chanel can do with the formula.

yeah that is what stops me buying the ETK ones - some look nothing like they do in the pot! plus they are actually stupidly priced in the uk at over £25!
