Yeah thats true, the MA was telling me everything that coming out in August - I'm sooo looking forward to it! I was thinking about the Byzance collection, cause it's part of the collection with the Byzantine Palette, it will probably only be sold where that is sold...so maybe the Chanel Boutiques in London? Huh I'm so obsessing over this collection I want the quad and the two JC's!

Thanks, ladies! I haven't worn any yet but I'm already enjoy the smell of a fresh JC.
bis - yeah the quad looks much prettier in person than in the promo pic. In my pic the colours are quite accurate.
lou - I'm also glad that mac no longer excites me so I can try other brands. I thought of you when I picked up the red blush, my first red blush too! I hope I don't look like a clown if I accidentally use a heavy hand and have no time to blend it out.
elegant - I agree, the scent of the l/s and the blush adds to the classic chanel experience too!

Happy weekend girls! I just got back from Nordie's - I did a pre-sell on the Fall collection, which comes out at my store on June 23rd. They're having an event to go along with it (from which I will abstain as I'm not great in crowds). I also got a peak at the gift sets. I forgot to ask about the Byzantine collection (namely that red JC!), but I have a call in to the counter manager to see if she knows when it will be released - I'm sorta hoping August, though my bank account is screaming NO NO NO!!!!
I presold the quad (Prelude), Rose Ecrin, and 4 of the cream shadows. Oh, and Khaki Platine. I'm waiting to see on the lip colors.

That sounds great Cheryl! Did they say anything more about the JC, like what kind of pink it is? Do the Chanel MAs see the products in advance like the MAC MAs do?
^^ All I saw were the brochures, and apparently the SAs haven't seen the collection in person yet....bummer. I can't tell what kind of pink RE is, but it seems to be a warmer pink shade.
The gift sets include a kit with a quad similar to Smoky Eyes, a brush set (with short handles) and a Chanel-logo mirror. I don't recall if there was another one or not.....but I will see what else I can find out.

There will be gift sets in fall? I'm interested in the brush set. And is the mirror the one they are selling permanently? It has a magnifying side and a normal side, in a square compact like the quads/jc, but thinner. So exciting that you got the pre sale!

Mark me down as someone who is afraid of red lipsticks (they seem to pull orange on me), but that is so gorgeous! And the red blush . . . I am SO going to have to check these out. Thanks for taking these pictures, I am MUCH more interested in this collection now that I've see your photos, rather than the official ones! (Perhaps my bank account isn't quite so pleased with the photos, though . . .)

Saw the Byzance collection today! I bought all the items except for the Gold JC. I have Gold Fever, which is paler than Gold. The red RA, Byzatin, is stunning. I swatched other RC and RA for dupes but none are exact dupes. I think Excessive RA is close. The red blush, Rouge, is very pigmented. It has red shimmers. I will have to wear it with a light hand. The quad, Topkapi, made in Italy, looks gorgeous in person. The shadows feel like cream and are very pigmented. They feel and look like molten metals on my skin.
Wow... Those are... Wow... Even prettier than they looked in the promo image. I feel like the diabetic kid in the candy store.

^^ Sure. I'll see if the colour turns up all right if taken at night, if not I'll do it this weekend. Being a RA, it is quite pigmented and intense, as compared to RC which swatches sheerer.

I rang the Chanel Boutique on Bond Street today and thankfully she did know what I was talking about but she was not sure whether they will get the collection or how many products they will get in so she told me to ring back in about 2 weeks which I of course heard as 'next week'
