I'm going to have to go with Chanel on this one as well. The fall collection looks gorgeous. I think the red blush, lipstick, eye quad, and nail polish are my top picks. But then the cream shadows as well are just beautiful.

I'm definitely leaning towards skipping Semi-Precious in favour of grabbing some of these beauties from Chanel. And, of course, fingers are still crossed in the hopes that I'm able to get my little paws on the Byzance collection.

Winthrop, I know what you mean about the mini-version.....I just couldn't resist it -
Elegant, I have the same problem with inner corners, but not because of my nails - my finger's just too big (and my fingers aren't that big) and shadow ends up getting on the area underneath my eye - which isn't always bad......I'm just much better with a brush most days.
I really have issues.
I have the same problem, I'm no good with blending e/s with my fingers too. Usually I use my ring finger, it is too big (normal size, just compared to my eyes) and I have small eyes. I get it too high up the crease or too far out to the outer lid. I find it harder to control my pinky and it is about just as big anyway. So it's great that the new cream e/s comes with an applicator. I'll see if they are good.

Newbie question here - what's the connection between the Byzantine Collection and the Fall Collection from the pics Winthrop posted? Is there any? Or is the Byzantine Collex the LE of the LE? Something like that?
I understand that Byzantine is only available at some places, but what about the rest? Sorry about the 100 questions, I feel like at the beginning of my MAC career half a dozen years ago...

Oh noes I knew I shouldn't have lurked my way in here! I'm always tempted my Chanel polishes but have satisfied my lust with dupes but seeing this collection I want everything! This collection is totally up my alley, red lipstick, and gold accents. I guess I will have to live vicariously through swatches on blogs and here...

Hi Anneri - there is a LE compact that's $250USD that is part of the Byzance collection - the rest of the items are available to the rank and file....and they include a quad (called Topkapi), the 2 JC blushes (Rouge and the gold one), and Byzance RA (lip), and the nail polishes. I think that's it, but there may be other lip colors as well....the Rouge Velvets get launched at the same time too, I believe.
But then there is also this stuff, and when it comes out is anyone's guess!!!

yeah i'm a bit poop at applying things with my finger too! i tend to apply with a finger to my lid and then use a clean mac 217 brush to buff out the edges. but because my finger is also big i end up getting it in my tear duct area towards my nose!! so a q tip soaked in toner helps with clean ups!

So I take it that Chanel's release dates are as foggy as MAC's? That's a pity! I'm already lusting after Peridot and the cream shadows!
That is the regular fall collection, I think it's coming out in August, at least last year it was August for the fall collection.
Not sure, if we have seen those pics yet
