I just received the Chanel double mirror to be released at Nordies. It is so classy, thin, beautiful crisp mirrors - perfectly sized for your purse or small handbag or clutch. Nothing bulky about it.

How are you guys using your spring quint. I've been so disappointed with mine. It always rubs right off and even rubs off whatever I put underneath it!

Thanks elegant -- the bulkiness was exactly what I'd always wondered about when I saw it on strawberrynet!

I never really got it to work for me & swapped it. I'm not sure it's pigmented enough for the colors to really show up on very pale skin. Maybe I just didn't work with it enough. I don't really remember it rubbing off though. I know Ingenue loved it early on, so you might want to check her blog or search her posts on here.

I got my order today. :D I love all of it (just varying in degrees, though ). First of all the cream shadow is amazing! I got Epatant and it's a gorgeous, shimmery silver. The thing that's so cool is the formula. It looks like a mousse. It even appears to be wet and it's spongy to the touch. However, it goes on complete dry and it's so easy to blend it out. It's crazy. It's like an improved version of the crushed metals Mac just did. I want another one of these babies. The other colors didn't really catch my eye, but I will find something. The lipliner, Coralline is my least favorite thing that I ordered. It's not a dud, but it's not a star. It's not very pigmented for me. My lips are darker, but not so much that this should've given me a problem. It's very subtle and only the lightest lips can probably pull this off on it's own. However, it is very nice underneath other coral lipsticks or glosses. The other 2 things I ordered are from the Summer collection, but since I am here:)haha:): The Lilium quad is perfection! So glad I finally decided to get it. The pewter color alone is worth having it for. You guys already know how buttery soft these shadows are. I love this quad. Sari Dore lipstick is a winner, too. So glad I got this. It's like my beloved Chalys but without that multicolored shimmer. I'm going to add pictures in a few.

i absolutely loooove either the peach or the white shade as a wash on my lid with a light brown shade like MAC Wedge or UD Naked blended in the crease...it's a gorgeous pearly summer look. I also use the darker shade as part of a smokey look (colou depends on my mood), but I always pair them with matte shades in my collection. I use MAC painterly paint pot as base and the sponge that comes with the quint to apply the shade and it works fine for me, the shades last all day.

I have a tone of FOTD's on my blog using this palette so u can have a look if u want :)

Shontay - awesome! I am so glad that I did not order that lipliner! I figured that with my pigmented lips it wouldn't show up too well. Glad you loved everything else.

Thanks for the great swatches! Enjoy your new makeup! Is Prelude like Stupendous or Mystic Eyes, without the shimmers? I don't have Dunes, Dumure, Stupendous or Beiges de Chanel. It's a sign I need Prelude.

[/quote] You and me both :) Epatant looks great. Thanks for all the swatches. Shonaty, is Sari Dore more pink or more orange/coral?

Elegant, I see that Chanel sent me a return label and the return process seems to be really easy, so I think I'll return the liner. I'll get it to the post office by Saturday and then see how long it takes from there. Bummer. I tried a mini version of their Natural lipliner that a MUA gave me and I really liked that one. This one just didn't work whether my lips were dry or just had a little bit of balm on it. I guess I'll have to wait and see if the new coral Mac liner will be a winner. :sigh:

I was wondering about the new Mac one as well. It should be an easy return with the label. I have only used it once & it was pretty fast. I am wondering about the color of the other lipliner. I have a couple of the nude liner - seems as though they always include that one with every giveaway or GWP. Yeah, I cannot do light peach on my lips it just disappears because of my lip color.

I just use my regular eyeshadow base set with a powder. I've found that you need a fluffier brush for these shadows, if I try and use my 239 it's patchy and you have to pat them on, not wipe them but I've never had a problem with staying power =/ I'd say play around with it! It took me ages to figure out how to use them :)

Oh my gosh!! I am 9 pages behind on this thread!!!!! Holy cow! Lots to catch up on, which I will try to do over the next few days ;). I've got a few things in my cart - haven't hit the button yet, but they're there.....I'm sort of waiting to see if Nordie's is going to get them in the next couple of days......

I would love to hear more about Khaki Platine from those that are fortunate to own it already. How does it apply? Are you happy with the staying power? Etc.

I saw somewhere on previous pages that someone was looking for the Spring quint Les Perles palette.

I think I saw it last week at Bergdorfs. Try to give the Chanel counter a call.

shontay - thanks for the lovely pics! Enjoy, I love lilium! I like Natural l/l too, I will definitely repurchase it when mine finishes.

I agree with shontay, Sari Dore is orange, no pink. I have no guts to wear it but I can wear Sari D'eau RCS.

From the gel e/s, I want Ebloui, Epatant and Illusoire. Since they are perm, I plan to buy 1 and see if the texture works for me, before picking up 2 more. But it is difficult to pick which will be the first. The lipglosses review is up on Sabrina's. My counter has never receieved any of the Rouge double intensite, so I don't think I'll get it this time. It seems to be banned to my country. I'm going to pass both glossimers. Her swatch of Sparks remind me of the holiday lips set - I want it!

Swatches of the gel e/s are up on Cafemakeup. They are beautiful as usual.

OMG, I showed the Byzance collection to my husband (who is a HUGE Roman/Byzantine history buff) and he insisted I grab stuff from it. So this may take my Chanel virginity.

I'm a little confused though in going through this thread...is it hitting stateside? Will it be online? Can I grab these from my local Nordies Chanel counter or do I need to go to a Chanel boutique? Thanks! :3
