Winthrop, the quilt in your avatar is seriously beautiful. My mom learnt a few years ago, but she is not very constant - meaning, she has just finished one piece in all this time. I'd love to learn too, but I feel clumsy when holding a needle and well, I don't have much time either. But I bet it must be very relaxing, right?

Back to fall collection - after T's swatches of Prelude I am totally sold on the quad. Today I have built up my things-I-NEED-for-this-fall and so far I have: Ebloui and Illusoire (adding Epatant most probably tho), Prelude, maybe Plumetis (RCs and me, well, let's say I am more of a RA girl) and then, I jump straight to NARS (I'll do serious damage with NARS fall collection).

I bit the bullet and swatched Topkapi but as its cloudy out the pictures are coming out crappy. MrsB's swatches are great at capturing the colour though!

I tried Rouge on my cheeks just now and all I have to say is make sure you use a very light hand! Its very bright even on my NC35ish skin! I wore the RA and I love the formula! This was something that I was very worried about (apart from the fact that its red) as RC's usually dry my lips out but this formula is great - not moisturising but not drying either I had to tone it down by layering Girl On Board on top before I got out the house! I'm not ready to wear red out yet!

The colours are so rich! I love the lipstick and hope I can get it. The blush still sounds way too bright for me and with NW15 skin I don't think I can justify spending that much on a blush that will probably make me look like I have scarlet fever! Pretty though for darker, warmer toned people. That gold is tempting, if I could think of something to do with it! It certainly is unique! I'm totally in love with the lipstick! I guess time will tell what I will pounce on!!

Hey, on the lipstick - just lightly apply it to your bottom lip only then smoosh your lips together. You will get a lovely light application of it!

Almus -- I feel the same about the lippies. The RA formula is my fave. I would be thrilled if they released all new colors as RA's

Maybe if I used a bit of lip balm underneath, I could get my RC's to be a bit more moisturizing. I whipped Magnolia out the other day and had forgotten how gorgeous it is!

I am getting impatient for Wednesday or Thursday when hopefully they release the Byzantine collection online . . .

I know I said earlier that they didn't last long on me, but I wonder if that's more because the color I tried (Espiegle) was so light in the first place that I barely saw it on when it was first applied, or because it just truly didn't last long. Would Or be too light for me to use as a highlighter? I'm NC44/NARS Tahoe....

I put on Rouge JC a few hours ago and its still the same as when I applied! I also have oily skin and I've not put any primer or foundation on today (lazy day) just moisturiser/sunscreen! I just used Or as a highlighter on my cheeks, I have NC35ish skin and it shows pretty well

I've swatched it with a few of my other highlighters and some other powders:

The lighting is quite crappy here but as you can see I have nothing like this

That is a really great pic of it. I'm still on the fence about Plumetis...I like it but it just doesn't do much for my lips...kinda blah. Probably because my lips are so pigmented. I think if it would have had just a bit more pink to it, it would have been fine.
