Well I am home from breaking the bank on this collection. I've never spent this much on makeup or even skincare products in one shot.....'feel a little shell shocked, but I'll get over it
You all know how much I've gone on about this collection, so I don't need to rave any further. Just want to make a few minor observations, from bringing in some products I thought might be dupes:
Cunning l/s is the exact same color as MA. The only difference is it's drier and more opaque. This means it's more buildable into a solid color, but the drawback is it will never be able to be blotted down to the lovely sheer veil of color MA gives in one swipe - it'll always look like more of a stain with gloss over it, than the translucent quality of MA. I didn't originally think I'd get MA, but the texture is so perfect - it (and One of a Kind) are some of the best dark vamp lip colors for daytime and vampy lip beginners I have ever encountered.
Mehr on my lips looks the same as GoR, except a little bit deeper and of course, matte texture. GoR is lighter and a little milkier (but not obvious white base style) and again has that superb texture these Lustres have - dense enough to cover my red lips but so comfortable and moist and extremely long wearing for this sort of texture with no blotchiness or feathering. GoR really is a solid, every single day color. One of a Kind is STILL my absolute favorites of the lipsticks, though - it's worth checking in person....it's just dead sexy.
I still thought Pressed Amber MB looked totally blah on me - it's not a vibrant brown nor does it have complexity. There will be better brown blushes. Warmth of Coral was extremely gorgeous applied with the LE kabuki, though - I will probably wind up getting it - it's just that i was so bowled over with my order as it stood, I didn't think to add anything more to it - so no blushes came home with me today.
That kabuki applies the MBs and the MSFs to perfection - not a pore was left in the house!!! Love the angle and density - so glad I got it.
My haul:
All MES except Smoked Ruby and Blue Sheen
All lipsticks
All Cremesheen Glasses
All MSF except Rose Quartz
Kabuki and 234 brushes
I seriously have zero reason to ever buy a powder eye shadow again unless it's matte finish - for a 44 year old woman, seriously nothing can compare to the flattering finish with the perfect opacity and depth of color of these MES. I feel like I'll never need to work hard to look sexy without being garish or overdone ever again with this haul (lip products and MSFs included). If you are younger, yes you have plenty of other options, but just wait till you're ready to create illusions with your makeup - you will understand how amazing this collection is!!
DEAD SEXY.
