i know i am so confused! did yours say on the first email on tuesday in the little grey box with the discription that it had been dispatched, but then yesterday got one saying order confermation and its processing or is it just me? tomorrow either one of us should ring and then tell the other to see what happening!! not a happy girlie !!!!!
Exactly the same thing has happened to my Debenhams order, I ordered on Monday, received the despatch email on Tuesday and the confirmation email on Wednesday but still no sign of the parcel :/ I did see the collection today and was underwhelmed by the collection, I think its great for a mineral product lover and thankfully thats not me :)

I was considering the 234 though, may pick it up next week, and the kabuki is sooo soft!

How did you use it?
I used the natural side to pick up my lid color (this morning's sleep deprived choice was "Making it Easy" MES), then used the tip of the brush to pick up the darker side of the trio and applied to the crease. I used the synthetic side flipped to meet the solid color of the shadow to blend the two together, then picked up the shimmer with the synthetic to use as a brow highlight.
(does that make sense?)

That is indeed me. I'm NC20 at the moment but I'm fairly tan for me, I get below NC15 in the winter so am fairly pale. When you mentioned a wintery look, I imagined exactly what you just described, a full on all over glow - buffed out to a sheen with a frosty eye with something like Prance, and a touch of something to ever so slightly darken the crease, with a paired down lip. Yum!

I guess I'm gonna have to go smash my piggie bank now!

Just got back from my counter. I told myself "No eyeshadows! They are always a disappointment and you have way to many already!" So my MA comes over and the first thing I say "OH! What eyeshadow are you wearing?!" So I ended up with Faux Gold, Semi Precious Crystal Pink and the surprise of the day: Geo Pink. I had limited funds today but I'm considering one of the brushes, Rose Quartz and Blue Sheen...

OH! And I've officially become a regular at my counter. The girl who helped me, Diana, reconized me and was like "Let me have your name and phone number so I can call you about upcoming collections and classes!" I know I'm officially "in" at my counter now :D.

Got my goodies.

Sadly, GOR isn't that close to Mehr but is still quite lovely on! I'm really liking Faux Gold - I was told that is what she is wearing in the promo pic.

Yep, if you don't like glitter - you have to stay away from the center puddle

Did you get FG?

Lou- sorry to hear about your package. Hopefully the rest of your stuff arrives before the weekend. What mes did you order?
See I knew I couldn't keep all this info in my head. I asked for Unsurpassble with lots of green. But it does have blue in it. I tried to get Rare Find with lots of pink in it but there were only two with not much pink but I picked the one with the most. Clarity -I did know to look for one with less black but it does have some mostly concentrated in one areas so I can get to the other colors.

Sorry for the long winded post. I'm off to play with my colors now.

I think its what I have wanted every golden sunset "peach" eyeshadow to be. Something in that color range that actually shows up. Its really lovely on, more like a sunset peach color which if course is buildable for color depth to the promo shot. I need to try it wet - my mau said that makes it look just like the promo

Ooo wow, awesome haul!

I tried Gem of Roses on AFTER I bought it (or, rather, b2med for it) and I was a little worried it wouldn't show up well on my lips but it is subtle and beautiful on so I'm quite happy with it. Yay!

&Just cuz I'm curious.. The MA wrote "b2m" on the bottom of my tube... Is that normal? I have only b2med for one other lipstick but I'm about 99% sure no one wrote on it (I sold it, so I can't check).

Mac Guy - thank you so much for your suggestions and reviews today. I read most of them on the train ride to pick up my products. I was so nervous because I got out my meeting a bit late but I got to the Mac Store around 2:30 pm. While I was in the store there were only about 2 people in there and they weren't even looking at the new collection. I played by myself for awhile and then a woman came in and chatted up one of the MAs. She tried products and said she would come back for them later in the day. I guess the SA was going to put stuff aside for her. The MA helping me was very accomodating. I would decide on one color and she would go get it and then when she came back. I would pick another color. We did this for almost all the products. She must have gone to the drawer a million times. She even looked for ones with the color veining that I wanted. In some instances there was only one or two of a color to choose from.
Mac Guy - I tried to keep in mind what you said about the size of the middle and the desired color in the middle. I always planned to get the Pearl but you made me try the Goldstone and I got that too. I did see coral in the Goldstone so I asked for one with a lot of coral and a big splot in the middle. Well, the one with the big splot in the middle had a lot of coral but it was much lighter than the other smaller coral splot. I didn't know what to do. I figured the darker coral was better for my skin tone.

I was so overwhelmed by trying all these colors that I ended up not getting any brushes. Just wasn't sure about them. They seemed to apply the MES and MSF well but I just didn't know if I could do just as well with brushes I have a home. I think I wouldn't mind having brushes that size that were all synthetic rather than split. I actually love my 227 (I know most people don't) so the 235 was tempting since it is about the same size. I also considered the cheek brush for applying the MSF. But for now I skipped.

The lipsticks didn't wow me. The next to darkest one, One of a Kind???, was tempting but it reminded me of Viva Glam VI I think. Lush Amber was super sheer on my hand and now as warm as I thought so I figured that wouldn't work, nor would the matching gloss whose name escapes me. So I just got the Geo Pink.

I love the mineralize collection so I ended up getting a bunch of MES. I was good and didn't even look at the MB. I have so many similar colors so that was an easy skip. I usually buy all the MSF but I was good and only got two. Adding Goldstone wasn't such a problem since I skipped most of the lip colors and thought I would get about 4 of them. The eyeshadows were the problem. I just loved all of them. But I love MES. I figured I would do better to just get what I wanted rather than keep coming back and buying even more. In fact, I even told the MA this. When I left the store, I realized I forgot to tell the SA that I wanted Smoke Ruby. So I came back a few minutes later and ended up adding Hint of Sapphire too.
I'm glad you got to pick all your product and you seem to have made a good choice.

I totally agree with you. If I keep coming back, I usually end up buying more stuff. I like your strategy of going straight back and then complete the haul. Buying in bits and pieces comes always more expensive - at least in my case.

I was surprised, too, that I was the only customer at the (f/s) store. I stayed for an hour and I was the only one! I went there right when they opened as I anticipated more crowds - like it was the case for other releases - but it was extremely quiet. This was good for me as I had the whole collection to myself, including the MUA who patiently helped me to find my perfect veining.

OMG, I just posted that I won't go back to MAC for SP, but now I want to go there - fast! Lol.

Well I am home from breaking the bank on this collection. I've never spent this much on makeup or even skincare products in one shot.....'feel a little shell shocked, but I'll get over it
th_partytime.gif

You all know how much I've gone on about this collection, so I don't need to rave any further. Just want to make a few minor observations, from bringing in some products I thought might be dupes:

Cunning l/s is the exact same color as MA. The only difference is it's drier and more opaque. This means it's more buildable into a solid color, but the drawback is it will never be able to be blotted down to the lovely sheer veil of color MA gives in one swipe - it'll always look like more of a stain with gloss over it, than the translucent quality of MA. I didn't originally think I'd get MA, but the texture is so perfect - it (and One of a Kind) are some of the best dark vamp lip colors for daytime and vampy lip beginners I have ever encountered.

Mehr on my lips looks the same as GoR, except a little bit deeper and of course, matte texture. GoR is lighter and a little milkier (but not obvious white base style) and again has that superb texture these Lustres have - dense enough to cover my red lips but so comfortable and moist and extremely long wearing for this sort of texture with no blotchiness or feathering. GoR really is a solid, every single day color. One of a Kind is STILL my absolute favorites of the lipsticks, though - it's worth checking in person....it's just dead sexy.

I still thought Pressed Amber MB looked totally blah on me - it's not a vibrant brown nor does it have complexity. There will be better brown blushes. Warmth of Coral was extremely gorgeous applied with the LE kabuki, though - I will probably wind up getting it - it's just that i was so bowled over with my order as it stood, I didn't think to add anything more to it - so no blushes came home with me today.

That kabuki applies the MBs and the MSFs to perfection - not a pore was left in the house!!! Love the angle and density - so glad I got it.

My haul:

All MES except Smoked Ruby and Blue Sheen
All lipsticks
All Cremesheen Glasses
All MSF except Rose Quartz
Kabuki and 234 brushes

SOS.gif
I seriously have zero reason to ever buy a powder eye shadow again unless it's matte finish - for a 44 year old woman, seriously nothing can compare to the flattering finish with the perfect opacity and depth of color of these MES. I feel like I'll never need to work hard to look sexy without being garish or overdone ever again with this haul (lip products and MSFs included). If you are younger, yes you have plenty of other options, but just wait till you're ready to create illusions with your makeup - you will understand how amazing this collection is!!

All these photos are so beautiful. Does anyone have any info on how they make these products? I'm so curious.

I read that they are baked on tiles in Italy for 24 h. Here is a blog on a depotted MSF which says "Made in Italy since 1982" on the bottom: http://thoughtsandotherfloatythings.blogspot.com/2011/05/depotting-my-mac-mineralize-skin-finish.html
