I wore Peridot nail polish today. Love it. It turned so many different colors. Green, Golden Orangey Copper color, Teal and a Sage color. Got numerous compliments at the Mac store by SAs and customers.

I love this one but I never saw the copper, did you apply over black? or alone? I just did 2 coats

Wow the holiday highlighter is gorgeous! Hope it doesn't go on frosty, but chanel has never given us a frosty highlighter I think.

^^ Yeah she seems to like it. I tried it on my face at the counter and it didn't show up. Nothing. Could be the lights. But the MA said other people who tried it on gets a beautiful glow like what Sabrina said, and thought maybe I was too fair so it was not obvious on me. So perhaps ladies with paler skin should try it on to see if it works on you.

Clueless - That is so Gorgeous! It looks more pearly ivory in the brochure & other pics I've seen. So, I guess "tender pink" was a good description of it.

I am on the verge of making a huge, life changing decision: what to get from the Byzance collection. :haha: I was searching the net this morning and I saw that Rouge Byzantin turned out this gorgeous shade of red on one lady. That's exactly what I want, not fuchsia. Also, I have Mounia by Nars which is a deep red with noticeable shimmer, even on the face. I want a red that doesn't have shimmer and I've heard that the Chanel blush has shimmer that doesn't translate to the cheeks. That's a plus, but I think that shade of blush limits me to what lip colors I can pair with it. I draw a blank when it comes to red blush. Then, there's that gorgeous quad. I can't help but think that I have similar colors, but that taupe and gold calls out to me. They seems great and unique. I don't know what to do. Someone, honestly advise me, please! :help:

The ls comes out a more fuchsia red, but I don't think the blush does. There really isn't any strong noticeable shimmer on the cheeks either. I LOVE the gold eyeshadow in the quad very much.
Didn't Ingenue do a review on everything?

I can't hardly imagine the blush not looking really good on you Shontay ;)

Shontay, I think you should go for the Rouge Blush and the red lipstick. I think both would look great on you. I skipped the red because I don't really wear red lipstick and shy away from bright lip colors in general. I'm slowly trying to break out of that. But it is what it is. It looks really good on people who have posted pics. I think the red blush would be fabulous on you as well. I don't know about the Nars color so no help there.

I know what you mean about what to pair these bright colors with. Usually, I would just do one bright color on the face not two. But I think the lipstick and blush would work together for you and just do a neutral eye. As for the Topkapi Quad. I love it. But I mostly got it for the gold color. If I remember right, the colors you usually gravitate towards were cooler tones. You do have the prelude so that might work for the cooler eye color. But you could always just wear just the Rouge blush with a dark lid color and light lips. I'm actually picturing the eyes like Oprah with just a simple dark gray/black on the lid color she always wore (if you remember that).

Well, I have the Topkapi quad and am currently debating the Prelude quad so I understand the dilemma but to sum it up I definitely like the Rouge blush and lipstick for you.
Yeah, she did review everything but I obsess over things before I order. I want to be sure. I hate having to mail things back and it's much too expensive to keep if it's disappointing.
Ingenue - This gorgeous!  Edit - I just found the color placement on your blog so I can't wait to use it. Thanks.  I'm still lemming Lillium because of your eye look.

No, I just used 2 coats.  I didn't layer it.  It was really this golden orangey color I could see.  The copper was part of that golden orangey color.  I didn't know how to describe it really.  Actually I saw the color more in dimmer light not direct sunlight.
Thanks for your help. If I order anything, it will be the blush but the thing about me is that I can never order just one thing. I do gravitate towards cool colors like you said and it's funny you mention Oprah because although that eye look she does suits her, it drove me crazy that she did it so damn much. Oh and let me help you by saying you need the Prelude quad. I'm going to put more thought into this and hopefully, I'll have some kind of order in tonight.

The lipstick is a ruby red--on me anyway, my natural lip color is a mauvey-plum that I think cancelled out any fuschia-ness. If your natural lip color has any of those tones I'd say you'd be ok. The biggest problem I'm having with it is patchy application, but for such a pretty color I don't mind.

Rouge JC's shimmer doesn't show up at all on the face at all, not as a glitter bomb anyway--I would say it's more akin to a very subtle sheen. It's gorgeous blended with Or, and compared to Mounia it's definitely a ruby red whereas Mounia is a raspberry red.

Don't hesitate on the quad--the shadows are like a cream-to-powder, and stay put all day. I have strong yellow undertones so the taupe is more brown/greige on me, but I think the silver tones would be more apparent on you. The gold makes a lovely inner-eye highlighter, and I've been using it as that and also as a lower-lash liner--wakes my face right up!

Thanks for the Prelude encouragement! As for Oprah, boy she really did wear that eye look! But it did look great. Lately, I have been doing a similar eye look. I'm really just trying to get more wear out of my darker eye shadows. I usually just use the darker color as a crease color. The thing is you really don't get to see the subtle nuances in the different dark colors when you just use them as crease colors so I'm trying to work in darker colors as lid colors right now.
I love, love, love dark colors on the lid. I started doing it earlier this year. I thought I'd look ridiculous, but I actually think it's best for me. A lot of times, I just use one dark color and blend it into the crease. It's sexy to me, but still simple and I can get out the door quick.

I LOVE the Byzance collection. For the most part, it's impractical as hell... but it's an imaginative collection of colors and textures. I still haven't dove into the Autmn 2011 collection. It's coming likely next week.

So the items I got the other day of me really wanting the two JCs and the quad from Byzance now. Oh goodness. I thought I could hold out, but now I'm not so sure.
