Chanel Fall 2011

So I tried the Rouge JC as a contour and it TOTALLY WORKS. You have to use a light hand and blend the hell out of it... but it works. As I suspected, these blushes work best when used together.

I love the Byzance collection too. The theme is very strong but I find the colours wearable. Speaking of Rouge JC, I want to compare it to Tweed Fuchsia to see how red/fuchsia it really is. No sign of the fall collection at the counters, I think I have to wait until August.

Here is the makeup that Keira Knightley is wearing in the Coco Mademoiselle perfume advertisment. Not sure if we know it already.

On her lips is RCS in either Biarritz or Boy, the blogger has forgotten. In the last pic, she is wearing the fall nail polish, and it looks like it's Peridot. It looks amazing!

I wore the Topkapi quad today under no base (I forgot to apply it

) and it still has not creased! Loooove this quad!

Thanks LMD! Alisha1, I rarely (if ever) use a base. The Topkapi quad performs incredibly well with no help at all. It never creased or faded on me either.

OK I need that Lumiere Sculptee powder!

I got a package from my friend in the US today, containing Quartz polish and Nebula glossimer. Life is good! :)

After damn near pulling my hair out and much thought, I've decided to sit out on this Byzance collection. I need to be selective. This is my inner, deeply hidden cheap side talking. I will wait for something that doesn't make me stop and think too much. I really wish we could get that new foundation now.

I love the look of this! Very pretty! I don't know about the price though. I am pale, so it probably wouldn't show up on me anyway.
My first time to share, the new highlighting powder - Lumiere Sculptee de Chanel:

Up-close:

Haven't tested it yet.. I will try to compare this with the Poudre Lumiere Perlee..

I had a similar gut wrenching moment at the Sisley counter about a month ago... and the SA made me walk away. She said anytime you're that stressed over something, you shouldn't do it. I appreciated her honesty ... and not trying to 'sell' me on stuff.

I'm diving into Chanel Autumn 2011 (the standard collection) this week. My poor wallet. OMG.

Just got a call from the Nordies SA about Fall 2011 and the anniversary stuff. She says they got limited quantities of Quartz nail polish... but the rest of their stock is fine. I will look at everything in person by Friday. She's already set my stuff aside.

She says that the cream shadows work best when blended 'over' a powder...that way they don't go total glitterbomb. Hmmm... I don't know. I'll test it when I get there and decide for myself.

See, when I got my face done with a Chanel MUA Epatant turned into a MAJOR glitter bomb, even after she tried to tone it down...then again, she tried to tone it down using Espiegle blush (which is glittery, I believe), so...maybe a matte shadow would've been better. Ebloui was much more toned down even on its own though.

Epatant looked really frosty on my lid. It's not my fave look. I loved the color, but it made my lids look kinda wrinkly. It was also a pain to remove and of course, it irritated my skin so I had to return it. Having said that, though it wasn't as much of a glitter disaster as the Mac cham pale paint pots. Those were a nightmare!

Wow! That is good to know about Epatant. I haven't even tried it yet. I hate when so many collections come out at the same time. I'm pretty overwhelmed right now between my new Chanel and Mac goodies. I will try Epatant over a shadow.

Hmmm... I have to see what she's talking about then. I told her that I'd come in and test them for myself. I'm not doing glittery ANYTHING so if it can't be toned down it will be a total pass for me. She told me that you have to use just a little bit of it and blend the hell out of it to get it to turn into a shimmer.

Winthrop Quartz is perm? Good to know! Thanks for the heads up...

I'll test everything and report back.

There must be very few left because it shows up as OOS and back in stock at different times on Chanel.com since yesterday.
