MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

I ended up ordering Goldstone just because I adore MSFs and have been really into bronzer lately. I should be set for bronzer for quite a while now, I have about 5 different types lol! This lipstick doesn't last very long on lips however but it is a lovely colour and perfect for any sort of makeup. I like the glossiness of it.
Your makeup is beautiful, the mineral products do so much for your complexion! They make you so glowy and fresh. I love them too
And your hair is great, how did you do it? I've tried to do this before but not managed it, if French plaits are involved I wont be able to do it and I'm not sure if my hair is long enough. Do you have layers?

Mineral products seem to be great for my skin - it loves SP even without make up on as in I'm not breaking out at all which is rare for most products as my skin is fussy! My hair is fairly long, so I do it by taking a long long strand from underneath and pinning it over then using my front layers/side fringe to pin over to hid the bits ESP my fringe as the plait doesn't come all the way over but by strategically pinning my fringe, it gives the illusion that it does, then sweep all my hair back in to a messy bun. [/quote] It seems thinner than fix, well more like water I guess! It has a fresher feeling of a true facial spritz, or toner. I use mine after cleansing/toning, before moisturiser and make up - it makes me skin less tight, and seems to moisturise it a little. Plus it smells gorgeous It's too early to say if it is having skin benefits but I intend to use it continuously for a couple of weeks to find out

Yay, the Macy*s around the corner from me has 6 Gem of Roses l/s left! I put one on hold for me...I am excited to get it this afternoon. You dolls had me lemming for it!

im so happy! I've been lemming Rare Find MES ever since i swatched it at the store, but I am too broke right now so I was all sad about it. Well my boyfriend just ordered it for me!!
This is a shock because he hates my makeup addiction and doesnt understand it, but I guess he saw how sad I was. He then told me not to expect something like this to happen again lol.

So I walked out with more than just Gem of Roses that I put on hold at Macy*s!
I also picked up Unsurpassable & the 234 brush. I never took a 2nd look at Unsurpassable until today, it really is a gorgeous color. I know it'll get a lot of use on my inner lid & maybe a highlight.
I am not really WOWED by GoR, but I am not wearing any MU today. I will wear it tomorrow when I do a full blown look for when I go to San Fran. But, it might end up with my pile of stuff I am going to sell on here next week.

So i got my packages
In the second order i got another one of unsurpassable (looking for veining that would work for me) and jade's fortune, and rare find. Mission impossible. Rare find i learnt to LOVE it.... but when i ordered i didnt fall in love yet.
Ive put them for swap in case somebody likes these, but check out the purple on unsurpassable. I had no clue it had purple in it untill i got this one. My other one had none hahha variability of veining is kinda crazy.
jade's fortune and i will never get along, apparently. the first one was 60% yellow, and this one... has little navy, which is the one i wanted. I have blue sheen but they r quite different.
these MEs got game! look at bases's magic! rare find with 4 different bases and also faux gold with 4 different bases
Today on the other hand I got clarity and faux gold
look with faux gold (copied from youtube video brazilian mac MUA:
the inner corner's smokey part with smoked ruby is hardly noticable in pic but this weird possitioning of shadows is pretty interesting and sexy

Which bases did you use with the Faux Gold? Also, I thought the placement of the Smoked Ruby was interesting too. I liked that video but I thought it was weird that you never see the MA whole face.

I actually did use some stuff from my haul... I did a soft purple kinda smokey eye. Nothing too crazy. I used Golden Gaze and Hint of Sapphire with some violet pigment and the purples from Peacocky. Then used Briar Rose b/p with Crystal Pink msf over it. And my beloved Playtime l/s. I am SO upset I didnt get a backup. I wear it all the time.

i think that here in adelaide australia there isnt as big a makeup culture as the US, they would just look at me as being a pain for a "small sale", what they dont see is that you wait and wait and wait for a product, save up and really want to be happy!!

I don't really care about veins in my eyeshadows.. probably because dark indulgence and smoked ruby shouldn't change because of them! I don't think I could ask to see eyeshadow and choose what I want... ahahah it would be really weird here
