I was hoping they would come out with a few more colors. I can't wait to try Mirifique out one of these days.

MissQQ - Is source that shimmer on your eyelid? I've been back & forth about it. I have to others. a beige & a dark taupe brown but they are not that shimmery.

Ooo, thanks! I shall hunt/wait for the A&F sweater with the moose logo. The moose is cute too! We just got an H&M store this fall and people queued overnight for the opening as they were giving vouchers to first 150 people. And again overnight queuing for the Versace collaboration recently. I managed to score two dresses and a studded top from Versace without queueing overnight. The pricing in my country could be different from yours, eg GAP, Calvin Klein are rather pricey here. H&M is cheaper while A&F is more expensive, but the quality of A&F feels much better. H&M has some nice classics but the quality isn't all fantastic. The cut of H&M clothes are smaller/tighter, and fits me better compared to Zara. I haven't tried anything from A&F but I hope so soon. Your chanel box is so beautiful! Enjoy all the new makeup!

Here are two pics I took this morning of 2 brand new A&F cardis for my oldest daughter (they had the exact same one in the regular store, but these are from the kids store). There is no natural light right now, as the sun hasn't really come up yet, so they are taken with flash. A lot of them are the cropped, fitted type that look adorable with jeans or skirts. They do have dressier ones, too -- but they all probably have a logo on there somewhere. They are more on par with JCrew in quality than Gap, if that helps. I've heard that H&M can be hit and miss -- so I will just have to keep an eye out!!

Hi all, I'm back from the Chanel shop! *pleased* I finally got to look at the Spring 2012 guide in store and it still looks amazing to me. Already shortlisted my items with the SA and hope she remembers to call me back they launch on 30! Was going to get the eyebrow palette but decided the brush was horrible and the powders didn't come on strong enough for me. But I never knew the eyebrow pencil was soooo amazing! Superb value for money since it comes with the sharpener too! Source came home with me too - I cannot wait to start layering shadow over it and see how wonderful it will turn out! I took a look at Dragon today too and agree it looks great but a little too dark on me - any suggestions for a more suitable true red lippie? The n/p in Dragon is hot though - will consider!
So glad you had fun at the Chanel boutique! I can't pull off most true reds. A combo I tried and liked -- I put La Raffinee matte RA on my lips as a stain and then put Spark glossimer on top. It is more of a berry color, but was very wearable, but more dramatic than what I normally wear.

Thank you for that post on the Glossimers, Michelle! Between that and a few other sites I was able to find all of mine. I have a small collection still (with Bagatelle expected today) but a nice variety. Now I can fill it in with softer pinks and some nudes, which I have none of. So far I have:

152~Blossom
267~Pink Peony
144~Rose Dilemma
142~Pink Teaser
106~Myriade
84~Imaginaire
161~Bagatelle

And 517~Triomphal, which is a different category and a gloss lipstick in gloss form. lol

That is a great collection Debi! I didn't include my Rouge Allure Laques or Extrait de Glosses in that lineup -- but I love those, too.
Funny thing -- I use those glossimers all the time and it looks like I have barely made a dent in any of them! I rarely use my MAC glosses anymore (just a few) because they are so sticky.

Thanks! I have fun creating with what you could call a starter kit, running from soft pinks into berry colours. I plan to fill it in with nudes, more variety in the pink zone and a few unique ones (gold, for example!). I like all my glosses. For glitter I reach for Dior, MAC Dazzleglass, Milani, Revlon, Chanel, Victoria Secret. For a creamier look I head for NARS, Bobbi Brown, Revlong, MAC Cremesheens. I love them all, but have way too much! And yet...I keep buying more...

Elegant -- I know you mentioned Platine e/s -- do you use it just on the lid? or take it to the crease, too? I'm looking for a silvery shade (I think Chanel actually had an e/s called Silvery at one point) -- but not sure how to wear it?? And today is the last day for 2 day free ship, so I might just take advantage of it

Hi doll :) I just do a wash all over the lid, then do a very thin lining on the upper lash line only. I compared it to MAC's whitish one & a couple others, but this one is the prettiest with great texture. Actually, Shypo recommended it. :) I hope she is feeling better by now.

Oh, I called chanel cs today because of a technical glitch & my BU Belgravia ls got canceled by accident. :( So I reordered it last night (boy would I have been mad had it sold out) but called today just to be sure about what happened. Anyhow, the cs guy is looking in my order history & says, "the girl got confused the other day because I see you have so many orders"
clap.gif
really?
th_LMAO.gif
I laughed in the phone & said, "well, is that a bad thing?"
sigh.gif
he said no no no, not at all.

And, I also forgot to tell you guys that when I had cs on the phone the other day when I mentioned the 'charms', I mentioned to her that it would be nice if Chanel offered some different samples at checkout, like small sample size different color lip or eye liners.

That is hilarious -- well, I think they owe you a charm and some good samples!

I tried a look today using source, tigerlily, and the burnished amber quad from TF. I think that tigerlily and the blush are becoming two of my favorites from this collection.

lexicallex: Source is a shimmery beige pink as others have mentioned. It brightens shadows that are lightly layered over it. I can get a similar effect with UDPP in Sin, but I think that I like Source better for this purpose. When I use UDPP Sin as a base & layer a shadow on top of it, everything tends to look thick, heavy, and crepey. Source is very "thin," can be layered over the original UDPP (my favorite), & also under a shadow without giving a heavy or crepey look. Right now I have three products layered on the lower part of my lids beneath the crease - UDPP original, Source, and a powder shadow - and it doesn't look like "too much" product.

I could also use Source alone on the lower parts of my lids, as long as I tone down the rest of my eye look. Don't want to be overly sparkly.

Now I am waiting for my Knightsbridge collection goodies to arrive. UPS always gets here late (around 6 pm), so the kids & I are heading out to the park for a while. Hopefully UPS won't change routines today.

QofS I agree with everyone else. HP looks fantastic on you!

I also recommend Poudre Universalle. It is a great product.

LOL I was relieved when I got my Belgravia shipping notice this morning, fearing that you took them all Elegant.
girlhaha.gif
And seriously, Chanel at this point owes you charms, keychains, snowglobes...hell Karl Lagerfeld himself should visit you like those sweepstakes commercials and shake your hand for enabling so many.

Good for you because all I get are skin product samples or foundation samples that are way too dark on me, so I can't even give them a go. I just end up tossing everything out. I never even get perfume samples. Grrr...

Well, I only selected the Mascara (which I love) the last dozen times
lol.gif
But yeah, why give people samples of a foundation that cannot use

Haven -
I just came home today with Source! I cannot wait to try it as a sub for a primer later when I head out.. I have a question about how you control the spread of it though? I tried with a dot then smudging it over the lid but it seems like overly sparkly to me. Any way that I can control the shine factor? It could do with the fact that the humidity in the tropics tends to make sparkly stuff look "sweaty" here rather than shimmery though.

Elegant-one -
I'm so envious that you have cs who are so nice! It's so tough to get samples off my boutique SA because they're always rotating around the two branches they have here... and that they're so much more willing to give my mum samples but not me! (though she doesn't buy any and I do!) And I would so die for a Chanel makeup bag/pouch but we didn't get the limited edition gift sets here.. and now it's all overpriced stuff on eBay

Elveneyes -
Gah don't throw your foundation samples away! They give me B20/Clairs.. I don't know why and I can't use them as they're too fair for me... do they only make foundation samples in one colour?

Bonitinha -
About your glosses, how long have your longest Chanel gloss lasted since you mentioned you haven't finished any of them? Just a rough timeline?

Did anyone here buy Rose De Mai? I haven't got any pink eyeshadow in my stash and am wondering if I should start with this one, or will I be overwhelmed by more upcoming pinks? Or should I invest in a quad instead?

On a side note, I bought my first lippie today! RC in Mademoiselle - I NEVER wear lipstick/lipglosses because I think it looks all weird on me but I think I could really get used to this and start buying. It's such a lovely peach-pink on me
cheerleader.gif
Does anyone want to give me a good guide of any special-mention colours I should start accumulating as a priority? Oh, and I think I will go get Dragon when I go to town tomorrow - I didn't have a chance to try it on but it looks really berry-reddish when swatched on me and I am wondering if it looks overly vampish.. I don't carry the red lip look very well however much I love it, and the SA seems quite clueless when I asked her if it was going to be discontinued.

Aaah! My order just arrived! OMG. Brompton Road is like a pink diamond! It didn't have this shimmer in the store. Sadly that will probably disappear, but it sure is pretty under the Christmas lights! Bagatelle is going to look so sweet with Hyde Park. Lovely Corals for me. I LOVE Kensington! What a perfect cool pink! I want a backup! Belgrava is also super lovely and falls in between the other two! Loving Tigerlily e/s and can't wait to play with it. I am so going to use it like my MAC sunset look I created. May is the perfect girly pink nail polish. I have a feeling this is going on my nails Dec 26th! No fancy box. Just everything shoved in a black canvas bag, again. Boo hiss. Flirt and June arrive tomorrow. I need to dig into my Estee Lauder package now, which is all wrapped up lovely in golden tissue paper! Oh, I swatched Joyouse next to these and it is lighter and more sheer than Kensington, in case anyone wants to know. These lipsticks pack a punch of pretty, which is what I was hoping for.

What? No snowglobe? No free Chanel charms or clutch? Hmm....
